People are meeting at College Green (just down the way from Parliament Square) this evening at 5:30 (and on I guess)

Saturday 31st there is a protest outside Downing street at 12pm. See photo.

I'll add any more that I see. Feel free to do the same.

These are the guys who look to be deselected in the Tory purge if they don't lose courage.

Show them some love via twitter and email. Let them know they are doing the right thing in standing up against No Deal.

woman19 · 02/09/2019 18:26

Tidy work on Whitehall just there. Johnson was almost drowned out.

OhYouBadBadKitten · 02/09/2019 18:44

They were in fine voice. It might not be a voice he is willing listen to, but the world will have heard that.

So when they are in session tomorrow we need to be heard in Parliament. I'm also hoping that people will be able to drown out PMQ.

Hey world. We'll be in London tomorrow handing in letters to MPs, encouraging them to work cross party & stand up for #democracy and the UK

PLEASE SHARE - Facebook have decided this "violates community standards" so we are unable to advertise it there

PostNotInHaste · 02/09/2019 20:00

I couldn’t bear to listen to much of his speech at first but did eventually. Was really pleased to hear the protesters. As OYBBK;
says, the rest of the world will have heard .

Woman19, am shocked to hear FB have decided that violates community standards. It shows the stakes have never been higher than they are now.

DateLoaf · 02/09/2019 20:03

Agree with you Post

Yup MrP remember why you are there, ignore the messenger, shout the message and shout it loudly.

One reasons we haven't sorted this sorry mess out is that us remainers are a very broad church and can find it hard to come together. We need to keep overcoming that to get things sorted.

" we've got Jeremy, McDonnell and Rebecca. Its our socialist version of brexit...."

Er.....no.

This.

It is terrible. Women aren't allowed to organise, but that's for another thread, I guess.

Get there if you can folks. Smile Women 4 Eu are a great bunch.....

The whole world heard us tonight during that 'speech'.

woman19 · 02/09/2019 20:45

This is cool. Racist AFD have just got battered in German elections. Their resistance is copying our SODEM technique of silent placards.
I think this one says: Racism is no Alternative.

We're leading the way, and this is important for lots of people and lots of people are supporting us.

Morning all :)

Keep checking the map wherever you are. If there's nothing near you and this frustrates you, then perhaps you could think about organising something. Even one person with a placard is a protest!

Small protests are really straightforward to organise - just select a time and place. Advertise it if you wish! If you want it in the local papers inform them.
Do let www.stopthecoup.org.uk/ know so they can count it.

If it's a static demo you don't need to let the police know, but I personally probably would for these circumstances - you might feel more comfy being kept an eye on if you get the odd heckler. I would also be careful not to do it on private land - railway staff tend to be especially prickly about this Wink

Organising a march is a bit more complicated and you should let the police know with 6 days notice. They may then place some restrictions on what you can do. Static rally's are much simpler.

If there's a risk of hundreds or thousands arriving then you do need to think about stewards etc. If you aren't experienced at organising this size then I'd take more formal advice about best practise.

That's great woman!

Well done born I know that it's a total pain to give up our time like this, I'm very glad that you and others are doing so.

I'm all packed for this afternoon/evenings stint, with a packed tea for the train home. I'm hoping that we have lots of people so that we can be heard on tv over the debate.
