Looking for some lighter brexit relief by fellow leavers... Every thread I've glanced at seems to be dominated by renainers?

Is there any space for leaver on here?

Just interested... I wanted to chat...

Mummy, yes it is sad that, for some reason, so many Brits chose not to avail themselves if the opportunities available. I really can't understand it myself, but there you go, you can take a horse to water and all that. It's a bit like people knowing they have a crap diet and that smoking damages your health, but still they carry on. I view voting leave as being similar to that.

mummmy2017 · 19/07/2019 13:12

Ok so I read it..
And all these things were known before we voted.
But while things get worse they never stay that way, and the UK will recover, also most reports tend to report the worse .
Still willing to do it to leave the EU. There will never be another chance for this...

DGRossetti · 19/07/2019 13:17

While people are wasting time responding to the single poster Mummy they can't be engaging with other Leavers and possibly influencing their opinions ...

Not saying that Mummy has been visited upon us for that purpose, but if they had been, I'd be preparing bonuses for their handler ....

ContinuityError · 19/07/2019 13:17

And all these things were known before we voted.

Well considering that leaving the EU with nothing in place and falling back on WTO only was never actually discussed before the referendum, I’ll call bollox on that claim.

Isthisafreename · 19/07/2019 13:23

@ContinuityError - Well considering that leaving the EU with nothing in place and falling back on WTO only was never actually discussed before the referendum, I’ll call bollox on that claim.

Agreed. I remember thinking how utterly deluded people were to think that the deal with the EU would be simple and brilliant, that all they had to do was rock up, say what they wanted, and the EU would just say "OK. Here you go". Because, well, "do they not know who we are" and "they need us more than we need them".The level of arrogance that this represents is astounding.

Isthisafreename · 19/07/2019 13:26

@mummmy2017 - Still willing to do it to leave the EU. There will never be another chance for this...

If, after reading that, you still think leaving with no deal is worth it, then you are deluded.

also most reports tend to report the worse - Project fear? Funny isn't it, how all these experts are part of project fear?

1tisILeClerc · 19/07/2019 13:34

{ but if they had been, I'd be preparing bonuses for their handler ...}
I hope they are wearing gloves.

1tisILeClerc · 19/07/2019 13:37

The whole point of being in the EU is that members get the 'best' deals. Arguably the UK got better deals than many because they whined a lot but initially were seen as useful members so it was let pass.

Isthisafreename · 19/07/2019 13:40

@1tisILeClerc - Arguably the UK got better deals than many because they whined a lot but initially were seen as useful members so it was let pass.

At this stage, I think most EU citizens just want to see the back of the UK.

MsSafina · 19/07/2019 13:46

The border in the Irish Sea was proposed long ago by Tusk but the DUP put the kybosh on it apparently.

bellinisurge · 19/07/2019 14:00

I don't know any Leaver who is as poor at expressing themselves and who is so unable to use social media posting as you. And I live in a strong Leave area where there is a lot of poverty, deprivation and academic underachievement. You aren't really selling yourself as a careful thinker, there , @mummmy2017 .

DGRossetti · 19/07/2019 14:46

Oh dear. You wound me.... Not.

bellinisurge · 19/07/2019 15:26

I often say about my cat "😂😂😂💗where there's no sense, there's no feeling ".

ContinuityError · 19/07/2019 15:36

bellinisurge - I managed to shut our old cat’s tail in a door, she never made a sound. It was never quite the same after that Sad

The mumbot2000 strikes again

Be interesting to prove my theory to myself that in a all of their posts, they haven't once ever advanced any suggestion of their own, but just parroted whatever the meme de jour is, punctuated with the odd reminder as to how much they are looking forward to leaving.

If this "AI" that people are so keen to flog was any good, we'd be able to CleanFeed forum postings and just leave behind the real meat. The fact we can't (and in fact the fact that AI bots are pisspoor at spotting other AI bots) suggests we may have to wait awhile for that robot butler.

HateIsNotGood · 19/07/2019 17:55

I think a lot of posters on this thread need to give their heads a serious wobble. It's been post after post calling mummy every insult you can, including 2 by clerc that were so bad MN deleted them. And because she just states things how she/he sees them - she's a bot.

And you all seem to think you have some form of 'higher ground'?

Jason118 · 19/07/2019 18:00

But she/he spouts such bullshit, it's difficult to ignore Smile

1tisILeClerc · 19/07/2019 18:06

I'm mortified.

Carry on - I'm not playing with the mean girls tonight, enjoy your bitchfest.

jasjas1973 · 19/07/2019 19:19

Hates I'm sure she doesn't need you to defend her unless........ Grin

Its a forum on a highly emotive subject, if a poster puts up unsubstantiated nonsense then they will be asked to put up or shut up, its pretty simple really.

pointythings · 19/07/2019 19:27

Hate on the Brexit part of the site of all places, if you post, you will be called upon to substantiate your statements. Endless meaningless waffle will be called out. If you don't like it, post elsewhere.
