Westminstenders: Brace Yourself It's Gonna BeBoris

It seems inconceivable that Hunt can beat Johnson. And whilst we are all considering the horrors that Prime Johnson can bring...

Let's not forget Brexit, whats Brexit?

Already there is talk that Boris has gone soft on 31st Oct as an absolute. But he's also promised the earth to the ERG.

So what suits Boris best?

What does his ego demand?

What does Boris want his legacy to be?

Our fate rests on Boris's whims and personal desires.

And if you are Scottish, Muslim or otherwise not rich, white and male you might have reason to be concerned.

Lib Dem’s would need a swing of 9.8% to win Brecon and Radnorshire - which is much lower than the current national polling. And if both BXP and Tories stand then that will split the Leave vote.

Looking at the EU election result, Brexit party would have won seat but if Remain parties united it would be totally different! LD/PC/Green must get their act together on this one!

If so, perhaps people will see that a Corbyn led Labour Government is not an inevitability if the Tories fall!

bellinisurge · 21/06/2019 14:33

Not excusing his behaviour, explaining why it isn't domestic abuse, Charlottesville and other similar

Enough to matter ?

placemats · 21/06/2019 14:35

Blobby is a liar and cannot be trusted. He's a lazy shite as well. I can't for one minute understand why this useless twit would be given the honour of Prime Minister. But then, stoopid rules nowadays.

placemats · 21/06/2019 14:36

Boris's ego demands that it be massaged.

Note: his ego isn't in his brain.

LonelyTiredandLow · 21/06/2019 14:37

I'm sorry to anyone who has been offended by my posts that now decides not to engage. I was actually trying to understand why Leavers aren't angry or showing much concern that they will be held to account when they haven't ever really had a say in the direction of Brexit.

I also enjoy the input of our leavers and wouldn't want to think they weren't welcome. Just would like to see a bit more 'real feeling' than continuous search results for any minor "yay" moments this country is still having whilst in the EU.

LonelyTiredandLow · 21/06/2019 14:37

And I am a single mum living in the SE England if that makes any difference Hmm

Peregrina · 21/06/2019 14:39

the most prolific posters seem to be males who don't live in the UK.

I post regularly. I am neither male nor have lived anywhere else but the UK. I don't have any other passports, so I don't have any bolt holes to go to either.

Songsofexperience · 21/06/2019 14:40

Ha, speak for yourself!

placemats · 21/06/2019 14:42

Boris and Natasha in No 10

Female and live in the north west (not particularly prolific but thought I’d stick my oar in anyway Grin)

borntobequiet · 21/06/2019 14:46

The Mumsnet Brexit boards are a strange old place - the most prolific posters seem to be males who don't live in the UK.

You haven't been reading them then.

Icantreachthepretzels · 21/06/2019 14:46

Very wise Louise. The Mumsnet Brexit boards are a strange old place - the most prolific posters seem to be males who don't live in the UK. I just lurk occasionally to see what the current Remainer groupthink is.

Well, that describes leclerc and literally nobody else. But let's not allow facts to get in the way of a bold statement. That's not the brexit way!

Nice flounce Louise very elegant dodging of answering what you 'knew' you were voting for (sans details - which would emerge later) whilst making remainers look like big meanies. Masterfully done.

DGRossetti · 21/06/2019 14:47

the most prolific posters seem to be males who don't live in the UK

I'm not justifying myself for anyone - particularly some random on a chat forum that could be a male who doesn't live in the UK.

Basilpots · 21/06/2019 14:48

Another Uk living female here too.

DG interesting re Boris suggesting one almighty can kick into 2021. Also noted leaving in 31st has been dialled down to ‘feasible’. ERG going Johnson when they had no deal Raab as an option puzzles me too. Johnson easier to manipulate perhaps.

NotJustACigar · 21/06/2019 14:49

.

TatianaLarina · 21/06/2019 14:49

I’ve ‘engaged’ with Louise before, you’d don’t get anywhere.

Howabout is a good poster though.

TatianaLarina · 21/06/2019 14:50

Nice flounce Louise very elegant dodging of answering what you 'knew' you were voting for

Spot on.

Bearbehind · 21/06/2019 14:50

the most prolific posters seem to be males who don't live in the UK

I’m not aware of 1 prolific poster who’s not in the UK let alone most of them being so.

Funny how louise has flounced when the question of what Leave actually means came up isn’t it?

Bearbehind · 21/06/2019 14:51

Oops, crossed post

LonelyTiredandLow · 21/06/2019 14:52

I suspect a flounce/lurk is as close as we will get to seeing how they feel when put on the spot to explain their position. No one in parliament wants to do it either; hence the stalemate.

So the plan is...hide. Oh and blame male posters in the EU.

Iambuffy · 21/06/2019 14:53

Bye

Songsofexperience · 21/06/2019 14:55

I think the question can be narrowed down to WHICH brexit did leavers vote for. There isn't A brexit. That's the point, and it should be easy enough to answer.
I know I want remain with
CU and SM but no Schengen and no Euro. I'd like to hear the leaver equivalent of that.

Icantreachthepretzels · 21/06/2019 14:56

I'm not justifying myself for anyone -

Which is fair enough. But anyone who reads these boards and engages in reality will know enough of your history to know that this:

the most prolific posters seem to be males who don't live in the UK

Does not accurately describe you. (unless i missed Brum declaring independence. Birmexit?)

What we have is a person dropping into the board (by their own admission, they do not come here often - they are not a regular lurker ) to tell a lie that suits themselves. It should be called out. And mocked.
