I loved that there was one spoiled ballot paper.

Well done that MP!

BigChocFrenzy · 20/06/2019 19:41

Dreadful lack of choice, now mole
Would have been worth it if Rory or another human being had stayed in

Which of 2 venereal diseases do you want to choose for the country ? Confused

Iambuffy · 20/06/2019 19:42

Surely bojos dick has leprosy by now!???

BigChocFrenzy · 20/06/2019 19:42

Hunt is just as much a blatant Islamophobic shit as BJ

thethethethethe · 20/06/2019 19:53

Does Hunt voting remain mean anything except that he is ambitious and was doing what he was told to do / voting for the side he thought would win? I suppose it does indicate that he's not an ERG type loon. But then nor is Johnson.

ElenadeClermont · 20/06/2019 19:54

Glad Gove is out. He is reasonably competent and a true believer. Johnson and Hunt will definitely make a dog's dinner out of Brexit.

On my FB page the Conservative party is asking me what message I would like to send to the new leader. Confused DH and I couldn't think anything that bears print. Any suggestions?

BigChocFrenzy · 20/06/2019 19:56

the Hunt had no more feelings for Remain than BJ had for Leave

They are both opportunists who expected Remain to win
They just had a different career strategy to benefit from that

placemats · 20/06/2019 19:56

Any suggestions?

Good luck.

borntobequiet · 20/06/2019 19:56

Boris as PM will be more damaging to the Conservative party. No deal will kill it as will revoking/any form of B(R)INO. That might make it worth voting for him.

BigChocFrenzy · 20/06/2019 20:00

Elenade I'm sorry Gove is out for that very reson:
he is competent and understands the issues around Brexit

Of course he is a nasty shit who has harmed many people, goes with the Tory territory

BJ would probably try to make him Brexit supremo

  • Gove will presumably avoid that, as he's not daft and knows he'd just be the scapegoat afterwoods

BJ can't put Hunt in charge - another Remainer - and Hunt wants to be Foreign Sec anyway

Bloody hell, I hope it's not Raab again

ElenadeClermont · 20/06/2019 20:04

They would laugh Raab out of Brussels after 5 minutes.

Butterymuffin · 20/06/2019 20:05

I was another stealth Tory joiner. Will be voting Hunt although I don't like him, because I have a kind of visceral rage at the idea that Johnson, who has shamelessly lied and lied about Brexit for the same reason he does anything - to benefit himself - could become PM. He would be a total disgrace to the office. Hunt is pretty loathsome but has at least made some better efforts to help Nazanin Zahari Ratcliffe, unlike Johnson who is the reason she remains in jail. Poor choice but I wanted to have a say alongside the elderly white men.

BigChocFrenzy · 20/06/2019 20:07

They'll laugh out anyone who tries to renegotiate

At least they know Raab and already have the nickname "turnip" for him
Saves them thinking up a nickname for a new unicorn-hunter

BigChocFrenzy · 20/06/2019 20:08

I'd feel robbed if I'd joined the Tory party just to vote for leader
Money down the pan

placemats · 20/06/2019 20:12

'Money down the pan'

One turd versus another turd.

Ken Doll versus priapic Mr Blobby. (with due respect to Crace)

Not much of a choice. I agree.

LonelyTiredandLow · 20/06/2019 20:14

Slight deviation but is anyone else grimly interested in the Trump/drone/Iran situ? How he is meant to be pulling out of wars in ME but can't now use force and is making out that if there had been an American in the drone all hell would be breaking loose?
Too many red lines/walls. Another glimpse into the future perhaps.

MeganBacon · 20/06/2019 20:14

SecretToryMole
Same as you, I joined conservative party in September to get a vote. I planned to vote for anyone who wasn't Boris. Unlike you, I'm not a supporter of Labour under Corbyn.
The only majority view in the Tory membership is that a Corbyn government is worse than any of the Brexit outcomes. Boris is only popular because he can beat Corbyn (or because Corbyn won't call a GE against Boris) so having Boris avoids the worst of all disasters. If you are a Corbyn supporter, vote Hunt. I'll be holding my nose but voting Boris even though it pains me beyond words. It's a complete tragedy that politics has come to this.

placemats · 20/06/2019 20:15

I wonder who will be given the post of Northern Ireland secretary.

Actually, this is starting to look like fun!

PinkieTuscadero · 20/06/2019 20:17

Would Johnson be likely to promote Rees Mogg to the front benches?

BigChocFrenzy · 20/06/2019 20:19

"Corbyn won't call a GE against Boris"

fwiw, I disagree

He's always been fixated on getting GEs and not bothered to do much else

He agreed to May calling the 2017 GE when the Tories were 20% ahead in the polls

BigChocFrenzy · 20/06/2019 20:20

Difficult to find a more ignorant NI SoS than the current incumbent

but I suppose he could choose Andrew Bridgen
(who would promptly demand his Irish passport and voting rights)

placemats · 20/06/2019 20:22

To be honest

Ken Doll's turds would probably flush away easily and not reek that much.

Mr Priapic Blobby's turds will sink to the bottom, oozing a foul stench that requires a shit ton of toilet paper to dispose of it. Every day. Every single day.

BigChocFrenzy · 20/06/2019 20:22

Interesting that a Tory membership so fanatically pro-Brexit has to now choose between
someone who campaigned for Remain
and someone who cba, but thought Leave would help his career

The80sweregreat · 20/06/2019 20:25

I bet Jacob R-M gets a job in Boris's new cabinet.
I'm sure Lead some will also be a shoo in.
Francois will be the ' head of the TA, bring back rationing' department. On his own somewhere overlooking Dover with a big air gun.

borntobequiet · 20/06/2019 20:25

Well done all those undercover Conservative joiners. Wine to you.
