Right, Francois is on. Talking about Monty Python. Time to head off to bed I think.

Ooh the gorgeous Monsieur Mark Francois on BBC now! Quick get the remote for Sky!!!!

Miljah · 26/05/2019 23:55

Labour. Sorts yourselves.

BigChocFrenzy · 26/05/2019 23:55

and deep blushes from the non-BREX UK contingent, born
as they try to pretend Widdecombe is from outer space, not UK

Icantreachthepretzels · 26/05/2019 23:55

Sky just said 'relatively modest gains' for Lib dems and Greens in the SW in relation to BXP ... but if considering the collapse of UKIP (29) and the BXP increase (36) ... that's only an 7% increase ... the same as the greens and nearly half the gains the Lib dems made.
The pretence that the BXP have come from 0% and shot up needs to stop. They have taken the whole UKIP vote - their increase is only what they increase on UKIPs performance in 2014.

HazardGhost · 26/05/2019 23:55

Am i the only one who whoops?

Just whooped for Oxford.

derxa · 26/05/2019 23:56

Tories received a kicking in Scotland too, Derxa Good!!!

Icantreachthepretzels · 26/05/2019 23:56

That man just said the referendum was binding! It wasn't binding. no one corrected him!

BigChocFrenzy · 26/05/2019 23:57

The Brexit Party wins the East Midlands, again picking up three MEPs.
Labour and the Lib Dems gain one seat each.

Quintella · 26/05/2019 23:57

I love that Magid Magid is now a Green Party MEP.

Miljah · 26/05/2019 23:57

Labour, recognise that you need to be in the game to win the game.

People want clarity.

This flippy flopping destroyed you tonight. Had your line been for a second referendum, ' here are the facts' referendum, you would have done well.

TemporaryPermanent · 26/05/2019 23:58

Cornyn has to go.

It's not really fair but tonight - I blame him and I blame him hard. If he'd stood up as what everyone knows he is, a Lexiter, from the beginning, we might still be leaving but he would have drawn the poison from Farage's balls, and made room for a Remain social democrat party with time to stand up or fall over. Past Labour leader's must be spinning in their graves.

RedToothBrush · 26/05/2019 23:58

Hyndburn (North West) result: Brex: 39.1% (+39.1) Lab: 25.5% (-6.7) LDem: 8.1% (+6.5) Con: 8.0% (-12.0) Grn: 7.5% (+3.2) UKIP: 5.4% (-29.2)

Samantha Yarwood @samyarwood89
So quick bit of maths, with only Tameside left to come in here for GM at Manchester Central, Tommy Robinson has 15,428 votes. To put that into prospective - the Lib Dems got more votes than that just in Trafford. @MENnewsdesk

Oooo its Midnight and the BBC have found a Lib Dem.

BBC reporting giving me the rate, but Welsh whiskey is helping me to see the positive side. I know Brexiteers are claiming wins, but really so far hard Brexit is not actually winning percentage vote wise. (sorry that's not very erudite)

WhenIsTheEasyBit · 26/05/2019 23:59

Brexit are 'picking up' what Brexit have dropped. Still Farage, just different badge.

NoWordForFluffy · 26/05/2019 23:59

Mark Francois on BBC now.

Knobber.

He's a prize twat. Isn't it past his bedtime?

Miljah · 27/05/2019 00:00

OYBBK yes, the clarity will emerge tomorrow.

BigChocFrenzy · 27/05/2019 00:00

Tories lose another leader:

Ashley Fox, leader of the UK Conservatives in the European Parliament, has not been re-elected in the South West Region.

RedToothBrush · 27/05/2019 00:02

SHUT UP PETER

So Wales went firmly remain on the popular vote...

Swansea (Wales) result: Brex: 31.7% (+31.7) Lab: 18.5% (-14.9) LDem: 16.0% (+12.0) PC: 15.0% (+5.5) Grn: 6.7% (+1.5) Con: 6.2% (-9.9) UKIP: 3.1% (-25.1)

Bury (North West) result: Brex: 31.6% (+31.6) Lab: 21.4% (-12.1) LDem: 16.3% (+12.1) Grn: 11.4% (+5.4) Con: 9.7% (-13.6) UKIP: 3.5% (-24.1)

Just trying to remember another Labour leader who came from a London constituency? 🤔Anyone know? Corbyn coming from London not helpful.

NoWordForFluffy · 27/05/2019 00:03

Ann Widdecombe can wish to be the fourth member of Take That if she wants. It's just as likely to happen.
