Wales what have you done?? No Green or Lib Dem seats!

RedToothBrush · 26/05/2019 23:27

Con aren't getting a seat in West Mids....

OP posts:
DryIce · 26/05/2019 23:28

Am I being too simplistic - my husband is accusing me of being overly optimistic - but, while any number of BP seats is too high, they seem to be to just be taking the UKIP votes, plus a few. I'd rather they weren't, but it doesn't seem as bad as it could have been?

MaudBaileysGreenTurban · 26/05/2019 23:28

Over 500k votes for BXP in W Mids. Fuck.

TaxiPlease · 26/05/2019 23:28

Windsor & Maidenhead (South East) result:

Brex: 32.7% (+32.7)
LDem: 31.5% (+23.1)
Con: 13.5% (-26.3)
Grn: 11.2% (+3.6)
Lab: 4.6% (-6.5)
UKIP: 1.4% (-26.8)

BigChocFrenzy · 26/05/2019 23:28

Hannon Hyperbole ?

Sky News Politics@SkyNewsPolitics

'This is the worst result my party has suffered in its 185-year history.'

Conservative MEP Daniel Hannan says it has been "a very bad night" for the Tories and blames confusion in the Commons over Brexit.

RedToothBrush · 26/05/2019 23:29

West Mids
Brexit 3 seats
2 Lab
1 LD
1 Green
1 Con

I stand corrected. They did.

The Britain Elects prediction had Lab with 2 and Greens with none.
Lab losing more to the greens than expected.

W mids, Birmingham. 507 thousand for brexit party. (missed the rest) three seats, swapped from ukip who had three last time and have lost their seats.

labour one seat, lost one seat,
cons lost a seat,
greens won a seat,.

BigChocFrenzy · 26/05/2019 23:29

You pandered to fascists and that never ends well

BlackeyedGruesome · 26/05/2019 23:30

perhaps radio four misreported/I misheard. as there is one seat less on their list... was typing as they announced

Quintella · 26/05/2019 23:30

John Curtice - 'There may be some leave voters in the Labour Party, but there aren’t many of them left'

MarshaBradyo · 26/05/2019 23:32

Clarity is winning - quote. Not surprised

BigChocFrenzy · 26/05/2019 23:32

Not many Remainers left in the Tory party either - skedaddled to the LDems

and pandering to fascist just made the fascists stronger, so you lost Leavers to them

Tory plonkers

derxa · 26/05/2019 23:32

Scotland firmly Remain

Quintella · 26/05/2019 23:32

Am pleased that Seb Dance retained his seat though.

Me too. And Batten losing his seat - whoop!

RedToothBrush · 26/05/2019 23:33

As it stands we are on course for
25 Brexit
15 LDem
12 Lab
6 Green
1 Plaid
2 SNP
8 Con

Or thereabouts.

That would put the LDs on course for second.

I think its hard now for the Brexit party to exceed 25 seats.

Basilpots · 26/05/2019 23:33

Maud they got 428 last time (Ukip) Con and Labour collapsed pretty sure he would have expected a whole lot more than that.

TaxiPlease · 26/05/2019 23:33

MarshaBradyo · 26/05/2019 23:33

I am surprised about Brexit in Wales don’t they get loads of EU finding (I have lost the thread these days, might be wrong)

SwedishEdith · 26/05/2019 23:34

Voting CHUK in Wales and NE has granted BXP a seat each.

PMK.

Thanks Red.

I'm transfixed. I foresee as much sleep as I had on referendum night!

HazardGhost · 26/05/2019 23:34

Pleased with the WM results the tactical voting was all for holding the lab seats and trying to get a green seat and more votes for Lib dems.

I was nervous voting lib as there was a chance the Labour vote collapsing would get more BP.

So yeah...not bad not magical but not bad!

BigChocFrenzy · 26/05/2019 23:35

✅ Seb Dance
❌ Batten
❌ Yaxley-Lennon

Excellent !
