Everything about Brexit seems to have been done wrongly.

Setting red lines to rule out a compromise

The attempt to use executive power to trigger A50, that resulted in a court case

Triggering A50 before knowing what the UK wanted

Agreeing to the backstop before any Tory MP understood the GFA

Appointing a Brexit minister before checking he understood where Dover was.

May going on about NI and pissing off the DUP before they were just about to climb down.

Having a Meaningless Vote repeatedly with a gun to head.

Contempt of Parliament and just general fucking up.

Tonight, 3 days before we were due to leave the HoC finally sat down to decide what Brexit outcomes they thought would be a good idea - more than 2years after that should have happened.

And we now we are told the meaningful vote might be may even more meaningless by being wrapped up in the illusive Withdrawal Agreement Implimentation Bill.

Farce doesn't even cover it.

Anyway Indicative Vote results incoming in approx 15 mins.

Is Kenneth Clarke's CU different from Labour's because of their 'close alignment with the SM' thing? And why are TIG against Ken's?

JadziaSnax · 27/03/2019 22:28

PickleSarnie same with mine. Odious little got that he is Angry

JadziaSnax · 27/03/2019 22:29

That was supposed to say Odious little tit

Calamapo · 27/03/2019 22:30

Tom Clark
@prospect_clark
Only 14 MPs need to switch sides for there to be a majority for a referendum
Suspect that is doable

TatianaLarina · 27/03/2019 22:30

Most LDs only voted for revoke and PV

Good for them.

I’m voting LD at the next election. Unless Corbyn has been euthanised.

SingingBabooshkaBadly · 27/03/2019 22:30

picklesarnie Mine too Angry. Arse.

Wonder if we have the same one..?

ooItsAoBeautifulDayNow · 27/03/2019 22:30

I feel genuinely stressed out by their constant fucking shouting over people!

They are AT work, they work FOR US, we are watching totally embarrassed by their unprofessional and point scoring activity.

It is pathetic. And a number of them earlier weren't listening to ANYTHING - constantly on bloody Apple watches, laughing between themselves in private chats not even about what was being discussing, showing each other emails.

Whether you voted remain or leave this is a total fucking shambles and I'm ashamed of our parliament. In any other job this public exhibition of lack of attention, disrespect by constantly shouting and general disgusting behaviour would result in at best a formal warning and at worse firing on the spot.

I feel so angry and embarrassed of this process. If I hear right honourable lady or gentleman one more time tonight (which I will because despite the shambles I feel passionately about the debate that hasn't actually occurred in any efficient way at all,

Imagine watching this in other countries - they must think our entire system is fucking shit.

As an adopted person - news came today from a national adoption body that adoptions went down by 18% last year and a little over just 2,000 children found a forever home in 2018 - due directly to lack of funds from government that are required to successfully support adopters. This news pricked my ears up as it relates to a topic close to my heart but this and other important issues will be totally overshadowed by MPs having to constantly spend time on this joke of a Brexit procedure. Just one example of the pure selfishness of parliament - the LEAST they can do is publicly look like they actually give a shit and stop fucking shouting.

I have been politically passionate and active for as long as I can remember but the system is broken, inefficient and while we used to call one group "the nasty party" the attitude and behaviour over the last three weeks has suggested there are at least THREE nasty parties in there.

And my business' tax, personal tax and staff tax will be swallowed in the huge admin costs of the admin of this procedure.

Party politics, total shambles and as a former staunch labour voter I am now politically homeless.

A Labour and co-op MP just said "it's tired and we want to go home". Well so does everyone working for minimum wage for far longer hours than you without the ability to shout down colleagues even if they are total, utter CUNTS. They haven't even had that long a day, in high pressure roles I've easily worked min 12 hour days for 10 years+ now.

I am furious with their attitude more than anything else.

Sorry for essay it's cathartic to get it out before I try to sleep. Like an MP who ACTUALLY DID. In parliament. Today. A day that will change the country forever.

Short summary - the behaviour in the commons today showed little but selfish cunts.

CordeliaEarhart · 27/03/2019 22:31

Tatiana, clearly! He has been crap at holding the government to account, crap at uniting the party, crap at strategic thinking, and that's just the tip of the iceberg as it only covers Brexit!

In other news, the life expectancy of poor women in the U.K. has actually fallen over the last five years. Not just stagnated, but actually fallen - we are literally going backwards. And Labour should be fighting universal credit for all they're worth, but they are just shit.

I really hope the independent group manages to grow a bit before the next election, cos I can't see my voting for a labour candidate (who abstained on cherry's motion) while he is in charge.

OublietteBravo · 27/03/2019 22:32

I will be emailing my labour MP tomorrow to tell him what a good job he’s doing. We’re a tory/labour marginal - I really hope he keeps his seat at the next GE (he certainly deserves to).

They'd surely need more time than Monday because I think they aren't going to get much further on Monday. But then again maybe they never will. Even after a general election.

This has all been done as stupidly as possible since David Stupid Cameron first came up with his stupid idea. Angry

BercowsSilkTie · 27/03/2019 22:33

My MP Mr don't worry about NI because the WA will look after NI voted for NO DEAL! What the fucking fuck is he playing at Angry

TheElementsSong · 27/03/2019 22:33

Most LDs only voted for revoke and PV

That is literally their party position, so that makes perfect sense doesn't it?

SingingBabooshkaBadly · 27/03/2019 22:33

How can he vote for no deal - he doesn't seem to be an ERG member and appears to be very quiet in the house but he voted for NO DEAL.

mother Maybe he’s one of those people who thinks No Deal means status quo. Nothing would surprise me about that lot now.

TatianaLarina · 27/03/2019 22:33

On another matter TM doesn't look well , I hope she is getting medical advice

I hope she’s not. 👀

prettybird · 27/03/2019 22:34

Since we have no chocolate in the house, nor any quaffing wine, I'm really glad that I have the cats beside me to calm me a little Smile

JRM today:

"The great joy of the Tory party is that it has so many talented people in it.
It’s like finding a fast bowler in Yorkshire."

< speechless emoticon > 🤦🏻‍♀️

BercowsSilkTie · 27/03/2019 22:34

Were they whipped?

PickleSarnie · 27/03/2019 22:35

Mines Neil O'Brien @SingingBabooshkaBadly

He always, without fail, toes the party line (Bercow called him a syncophant the other day which cheered me up no end) So I knew he wouldn't vote for PV or revoke or anything like that. I'm surprised and disappointed that he voted for no deal though.

OutwithMyRemit · 27/03/2019 22:35

PMK

Peregrina · 27/03/2019 22:36

I do think the Tory party in Parliament will have some talented people, but that doesn't include the present cabinet, or you Grease-Knob.

tobee · 27/03/2019 22:36

I'd certainly never vote for the libdems if Layla Moran became leader.

ooItsAoBeautifulDayNow · 27/03/2019 22:37

Not. One. Shit. Given.

I'd complain to my local MP about this disgusting lack of respect to the public but my local MP is Theresa May so that'll do a fuckload of good.

They're acting like they've had the longest work day ever - SO MANY people work two jobs for 12+ hours a day. They're so out of touch it's embarrassing.

One of them said "tonight we have achieved sweet FA" and is this could n applied to the whole process to date.

😡

PickleSarnie · 27/03/2019 22:37

Maybe we all have the same one @JadziaSnax ! Although I suspect there are multiple odious gits in HoC!

SwedishEdith · 27/03/2019 22:38

The Independent Group voted AGAINST Ken Clarke’s motion for a customs union, would have passed with their votes

I was looking at that. Why? Purity of PV for now?
