Westminstenders: Indicative Crossiants

RedToothBrush · 26/03/2019 18:23

Tomorrow the Indicative debate starts at 3pm

The Speaker will choose options to go to vote.

Vote at 7pm for yes or no for each option.

7.30pm The SI debate on extension followed by vote.

Announcement of the indicative vote sometime between 8.15pm and 9.30pm

Meanwhile the DUP have indicated they would prefer a long delay (and presumably EU elections by default) rather than May's deal, in a strange twist of Brexit.

Imagine being stuck in a HoC lift with Mark Francois, without Mhairi Black to keep him at bay.

TemporaryPermanent · 27/03/2019 21:02

Frark Man Swizz. I do hate him.

How have all these people been elected by thousands of people?

keepforgettingmyusername · 27/03/2019 21:02

Ulster says no!! 🇬🇧

Tag teaming asshats

Bernard Jenkin is apparently the Bernard who stole Richard Curtis' girlfriend and the reason why every RC film features a Bernard who is a figure of fun.

Irrelevant to tonight's proceedings but the Four Weddings chat from earlier reminded me.

The80sweregreat · 27/03/2019 21:05

They are calling Theresa's exit ' Trexit'
It's a moveable date : not set in stone.
The DuP are voting against the deal.

Belindabelle · 27/03/2019 21:05

It’s an interesting day when the DUP are the ones showing a modicum of integrity.

The80sweregreat · 27/03/2019 21:07

The DUP : they hold all the cards.

Triglesoffy · 27/03/2019 21:09

Richard Curtis is an arse, isn’t he?

RedToothBrush · 27/03/2019 21:11

What type of person do you have to be to date Richard Curtis AND Bernard Jenkin?

Pretzels - why do you prefer GMT out of interest?

Because it's real. The Greenwich meridian is longitudinal zero which starts off every time zone in the world and when the sun is at it's highest point over the prime meridian then it is 12:00. It's the time on the royal observatory clock. It's the time that British mariners kept their chronometers at so they could calculate their longitude (and creating a reliable chronometer was an herculean task in and of itself - a yorkshireman invented it and it revolutionised the safety of sailing). It's been all of Britain's standard time since 1858 legally but was first adopted by train companies in 1847 - so it is important to our railway history as well as our maritime history. It means something.

BST is a load of ballsy wank that allows people to drink wine in their gardens until 10 o'clock at night in summer - weather permitting. It just doesn't compare.

The80sweregreat · 27/03/2019 21:16

I rather they didn't mess about with the clocks.
My neighbours get drunk and loud in the summer in the garden if it's nice. Anything stopping this is a big plus.

Calamapo · 27/03/2019 21:16

What type of person do you have to be to date Richard Curtis AND Bernard Jenkin?

An Andrea Leadsom type in Laura Ashley and a black velvet alice band, I suspect.

Triglesoffy · 27/03/2019 21:16

Someone who is power hungry red

doIreallyneedto · 27/03/2019 21:16

@Belindabelle - It’s an interesting day when the DUP are the ones showing a modicum of integrity.

You're confusing belligerent obstinance with integrity. The DUP are incapable of saying Yes.

SwedishEdith · 27/03/2019 21:23

This made me laugh.

Mark Francois 100% thinks waitresses that are polite fancy him.

Pretzels - my reasons too. And do I need it to be light outside when I go to bed at 10 pm? No.

Peregrina · 27/03/2019 22:27

Have they made any sort of decision about the clocks going back or forwards? Or have they been totally consumed by Brexit?
