Westminstenders: Indicative Crossiants

RedToothBrush · 26/03/2019 18:23

Tomorrow the Indicative debate starts at 3pm

The Speaker will choose options to go to vote.

Vote at 7pm for yes or no for each option.

7.30pm The SI debate on extension followed by vote.

Announcement of the indicative vote sometime between 8.15pm and 9.30pm

Meanwhile the DUP have indicated they would prefer a long delay (and presumably EU elections by default) rather than May's deal, in a strange twist of Brexit.

Do the DUP intend to abstain or vote against the deal? I was under the impression they had to go against it to really put the boot in rather than abstaining.

Belindabelle · 27/03/2019 20:55

What an idiot. He wouldn’t even get in my kitchen cabinet.

RedToothBrush · 27/03/2019 20:55

Steve Bullock @ guitarmoog
Marc François: "We are debating tonight whether to extend Article 50."

No you aren't. Art50 has been extended.

You know when you were a kid and your English teacher used to bore you to death saying, "make sure you read the question properly and just assume you've read it right"

Well that's Mark Francois. The kid who couldn't read the English comprehension test.

Guardian live feed: The DUP will definitely be voting against May’s deal, not abstaining, a source confirms.

keepforgettingmyusername · 27/03/2019 20:55

The DUP are just as stubborn as TM to be fair. They never, ever bend or change tack.

lonelyplanetmum · 27/03/2019 20:57

I know this is really inane, sexist vacuous etc but that thing with men wearing a ring on their middle finger like Mark Francois?

I always find it a bit double glazing salesman ish. Sorry for any male Westminsterenders who do this.

Butterymuffin · 27/03/2019 20:57

Hmm, the BBC are very keen to tell us all about people coming over to the deal. I wonder why?

Ah, Mark Francois is another of those who doesn't consider Remain voters 'people'.

AutumnCrow · 27/03/2019 20:57

Mark Francois is a big thick wanker.

Political analysis ^^

lonelyplanetmum · 27/03/2019 20:58

Apologies to double glazing salesmen too, sorry , sorry.

woman19 · 27/03/2019 20:58

Francois's finishing flourish in his best Ray Winsone voice, threatening angry brexit wizards.

"Don't say you weren't warned."

Met with Frankie Howerd "oohs" from the other side, Grin

tobee · 27/03/2019 20:58

It's been almost all wall to wall asshats hasn't it?

Whatthefoxgoingon · 27/03/2019 20:58

I concur.

BiglyBadgers · 27/03/2019 20:59

I'm bored now. I just want the vote results so I can get on with my evening and drink my hot cocoa in peace.

Butterymuffin · 27/03/2019 20:59

This may be the only time I will ever applaud anything the DUP do.

Who's this current bellend speaking? He's waffling on about how tonight shows we don't have sovereignty. Oh the irony.

DGRossetti · 27/03/2019 20:59

Shadow minister resigning ?

AutumnCrow · 27/03/2019 20:59

And he sweats.

RedToothBrush · 27/03/2019 20:59

Richard Bacon up. Shot to opposition benches and picture of MPs visually expressing their desire to lose the will to live.

Division called.

'consumed by a ferocious rage'

Welcome to the Remain world Steve.

And I never say this because I believe national healing is needed, but to him, reading that, i do feel like saying - 'you won, get over it'

MarshaBradyo · 27/03/2019 20:59

Get on with it pointless waffle

Calamapo · 27/03/2019 21:00

Mark Francois needs to get back to whichever episode of the Fast Show he escaped from.

Butterymuffin · 27/03/2019 21:00

World War 2 klaxon!

There should be a new version of Godwin's law about this.

Icantreachthepretzels · 27/03/2019 21:01

The DUP will definitely be voting against May’s deal, not abstaining, a source confirms.

... that weird moment when you find yourself appreciating the DUP Confused

stopped clocks and all that.
speaking of which - I am also in the minority that prefers GMT.

Apileofballyhoo · 27/03/2019 21:01

Ah Westminstenders, you all gave me several giggles. The Orange and the Lemon and £25 bargains and Mark WWII Francois not reading the question...

Fingers crossed for the indicative votes.

lonelyplanetmum · 27/03/2019 21:01

Just a reminder that David David said “we know from past experience that the EU always leaves agreement to the final moment possible at the 11th hour.”

Runningintothesunset · 27/03/2019 21:02

Pretzels - why do you prefer GMT out of interest?
