If anyone says they know what will happen this week....

... They don't.

Weird how “illicit encounters” made itself into a link Confused

NoWordForFluffy · 25/03/2019 19:55

I'm watching Only Connect instead of the HoC as I can't face anymore of it. They've got some bloody stamina to still be plugging away though. But probably getting nowhere!

Oh god, Steven Tyler??! 🤢🤢

TalkinPaece · 25/03/2019 19:57

We are watching the BBC chillax film about a katana maker

RedToothBrush · 25/03/2019 19:57

I have to admit going out this afternoon with sick child looks to have been preferable to the alternative on offer here.

I have not watched anything today nor logged into twitter since 12.00noon.

Been bliss. Not that I can keep it up for long.

Guardian reporting that the EU have confirmed extra passport checking and stamping to make it easier to spot Brits sneaking into the EU and staying more than 3 months. (and other stuff).
I quite like having my passport stamped, it reminds me where I have been over the years.

Sostenueto · 25/03/2019 19:58

My first husband was 10 years older than me a d got married 5 times ( I was his first) and all disasters because he always solved an argument with his fists. My second husband was 10 years younger than me, the less said about him the betterAngry
After 30 years between them I figured I'd done my hard labour!
But Berkows brains and yes his ties ......but really going through that sex bit all over again is so booooring! After all give or take half an inch they're all the sameGrinGinGin

RedToothBrush · 25/03/2019 19:59

I love passport stamps.

This is a plus for Brexit. Entry into the EU through various entry points will be something of a new found hobby.

I cannot understand the Bercow love (apart from his thwarting Treeza). He's vain, pompous, rumoured to be a bully and I cannot bear his affected, hammy bellowing.

He's altogether too pleased with himself.

Bring back Betty Boothroyd, I say.

Runningintothesunset · 25/03/2019 20:01

Dominic Grieve has just said how lovely everyone was on the march. Compared to the vitriol he’s had from the other side. I’m convinced he’s one of you on this thread Grin

If you are secretly here Mr Grieve - keep on doing what you’re doing, I think you’re amazing!

Calm down chuck, TMI !

BigChocFrenzy · 25/03/2019 20:02

sos I'm hoping Grayling just uses a sex doll, but I'd rather not think about it
Most likely, it never happens, because he's no better at managing that than his day job

TalkinPaece · 25/03/2019 20:04

@redtoothbrush
Before I got my UK passport I'd get my blue one stamped all over Europe.
Arriving in Spain by boat, the kids looked so sad that the nice man stamped theirs as well (little picture of a boat and all).
I love passport stamps
utterly misses the point of Brexit

RHTawneyonabus · 25/03/2019 20:06

Loved Soames speech - channeling Grampa.

tobee · 25/03/2019 20:07

Yeah the football's not going the way I hoped Shock

Butterymuffin · 25/03/2019 20:08

So basically in taking pleasure in passport stamps, we've been able to come up with one more advantage to Brexit than the people advocating for it have done. Grin

bellinisurge · 25/03/2019 20:09

I miss my blue passport and all the stamps I got. Not enough to fuck up the country for, though.

tobee · 25/03/2019 20:10

Been googling Montenegro. It looks so beautiful. Another place that's going to be harder to get to. Sad

RedToothBrush · 25/03/2019 20:10

The first time I travelled abroad was in 1989. After that I travelled abroad on a collective school passport.

The first time I travelled by myself wasnt until the EU was created. I have only ever had a red EU passport.

Oh and a white EU passport. You get those for being a tool whilst abroad...

May’s party-first policy could come back to haunt her

https://www.thetimes.co.uk/article/05f853f6-4f1e-11e9-a278-59bc5c47bf2d

Civil servants are increasingly alarmed at the naked partisanship displayed by the PM and her cabinet

As the cabinet met last Tuesday....

the country was embroiled in a full-scale constitutional crisis
and businesses were warning of a national emergency,
but Theresa May’s main concern appeared to be holding the Conservative Party together Angry

I am told that the minutes of the cabinet meeting contain at least five references to the Tories’ narrow political concerns

According to the official account, written by Sir Mark Sedwill, the cabinet secretary, ministers discussed how the government is
“committed to delivering Brexit — not to do so would be damaging to the Conservative Party”.

prettybird · 25/03/2019 20:12

I like passport stamps too. My current one doesn't have any as we've not been to South Africa recently. Smile

BigChocFrenzy · 25/03/2019 20:13

Alex Wickham@alexwickham

Govt source anger at No10

"She said at cabinet she would not do no deal.
She said the same in the House. Now they have put it back on the table.

She went big on Tuesday [MV3] at cabinet.
Now they are saying it won't be Tues.

There is a reason people talk about trust issues."

NoWordForFluffy · 25/03/2019 20:14

My last passport had loads of stamps. I was gutted when I had to replace it.

The Egyptian visa was particularly lovely!
