Now I feel very confused about you Westminsterenders posters. I thought I was reading information from like minded people? Can't believe none of you chose croissants? ShockShock

TheElementsSong · 26/03/2019 17:54

Anybody feeling at least a small and petty sense of amusement at the increased number of rattled Leavers posting around MN lately? Well, OK, a small and petty sense of amusement at the ones saying that "If Democracy is Killed, I'll Never Vote Again" and also the "That March was just 5 Germans and a dog walking past the cameras over and over again!". Less amusement at the ones threatening widespread violence (whilst, in what I might suggest is cowardice, adding that of course they themselves would never do such a thing, oh no).

dreichuplands · 26/03/2019 17:58

toobe I chose croissants, a sweet and savoury snack. But I ended up with PV rather than revoke.

woman19 · 26/03/2019 18:00

the ones threatening widespread violence

Any posters doing this would be breaking the law, elements .

I am sure Mumsnet will be deleting /reporting to the authorities any illegal posts.

"In criminal law, incitement is the encouragement of another person to commit a crime. Depending on the jurisdiction, some or all types of incitement may be illegal. Where illegal, it is known as an inchoate offense, where harm is intended but may or may not have actually occurred."

Apileofballyhoo · 26/03/2019 18:00

I chose croissants and got revoke. Also Donald Tusk and John Bercow.

67chevvyimpala · 26/03/2019 18:01

PestyMachtubernahme · 26/03/2019 18:02

Tobee I can't believe nobody picked fondue as first choice.

NoWordForFluffy · 26/03/2019 18:02

Bratwurst, Soubry and Tusk here for PV. Is it Ms Soubry swinging it?!

Sostenueto · 26/03/2019 18:05

Well of course I chose Berkow!

prettybird · 26/03/2019 18:06

The Government response shows that it knows that there is a massive amount of dissatisfaction amongst Remainers - and that they are already thinking of a potential GE before 2022.

By continuing to remind those that signed the petition that Labour too supports Brexit, they are deliberately tainting their opposition in the hope that they will somehow retain control - or rather, stop Labour getting control Hmm

But they are pushing Scots towards the (Remain supporting) SNP Confused. Now, I don't mind that Wink - but it shows how little they care about the Union or Scotland (but there again, they've always been able to ignore Scotland Sad).

dontcallmelen · 26/03/2019 18:07

I choose waffles, John Bercow & Tusk Lord Adonis got revoke.

Sostenueto · 26/03/2019 18:07

OhYouBadBadKitten · 26/03/2019 18:10

Butterymuffin · 26/03/2019 18:11

clear instruction 😆

from a democratic vote 😆

reduce confidence in our democracy 😆REDUCE?

What a shoddy defence.

Loved the ASMR pretty!

Sostenueto · 26/03/2019 18:15

Well I have dinner in front of me but a bit of a dilemma. Unable to get 40,000 Creon so chemist gave me equivalent in 10,000 Creon. Problem is I'm supposed to take 4×40,000 with meal that means 16 10,000. By the time I take that lot I will be full and won't be able to eat my dinner!

Peregrina · 26/03/2019 18:17

Yet again the weary argument that over 80% of those who voted, voted for parties which promised to uphold the result of the Referendum. Even if that were true there is no mention of the fact that the Government lost its majority and that its mandate to implement May's version of Brexit, is questionable. I was going to type that it was Government Policy, but that is doubtful. It's May's policy and some of her party's.

I do curse Labour for not coming out more strongly for a policy which could not be twisted the way it is being done.

TheElementsSong · 26/03/2019 18:20

British people cast their votes once again in the 2017 General Election where over 80% of those who voted, voted for parties, including the Opposition, who committed in their manifestos to upholding the result of the referendum.

You know how there are people who say that they can never forgive the LibDems because of tuition fees and that they got into bed with the Tories? People I knew told me that they weren't going to vote LibDem in 2017 because of it, despite otherwise despairing to me about the "Respect Da Will!" position of the other major parties.

What length of time should it be before I agree to forgive the Labour party for the 80% Fucking Shite? I mean, we've established in principle that this is an entirely reasonable position to take, yes? I'm thinking: heat death of the universe.

Banks and Farage tweeting their excuses almost word for word;

Farage: This is not a deal, it is a legally binding international treaty. We are being asked to swap one for another, the new one is even worse.

Banks: It’s not Brexit , it is a binding treaty and it is designed to see us fail completely as a country. Remain is a better option than this toxic surrender document. You should have been an MP , given that appalling analysis...

Peregrina · 26/03/2019 18:35

People I knew told me that they weren't going to vote LibDem in 2017 because of it, despite otherwise despairing to me about the "Respect Da Will!" position of the other major parties.

This infuriated me with my own DCs, whose college days were long behind them, but questions about the housing market, schooling and health care were three very current issues. Fortunately two decamped to Labour areas, and for the third, the Green candidate stood down in favour of the LibDem, so the LibDem got the vote and helped to oust the useless Tory.
