But then again Theresa May said there would be no election. She also said that we were leaving on 29th March and now the date is 12th April or maybe 22nd May. So who knows what actually is applicable? The Government could collapse before next week, for all we know.

Tolleshunt · 26/03/2019 22:37

I am absolutely fucking bealing about that response to the petition. Absolutely bealing.

The fucking cheek to harp on about democracy, with all that has gone on with the chufffing bus, Russian intervention, May's loony 'strategy', the red lines the public didn't vote for, putting her own stupid deal for a vote twice, and then wanting to try her luck for a third time, chunnering on about the 2017 election when there was no choice to vote for a mainstream party that opposed Brexit....

I could go on. And on. But I won't.

I fucking despise that stupid, stubborn, arrogant woman.

I don't even have the words to describe how enraged I am right now.

Send them a message about the the Revoke petition and lack of debate before any decision.

derekthe1adyhamster · 26/03/2019 22:45

I will be voting lib Dems in the local elections in May. Lib Dems don't get a look in in my constituency. It won't make a bit of difference but I will feel I've done my bit. I am very cross with the response

Tolleshunt · 26/03/2019 22:52

Well, I guess that's 5.8 million who won't be voting Tory....

Littlespaces · 26/03/2019 22:59

There is a gaping space for a central REMAIN party.

Tolleshunt · 26/03/2019 23:01

The Independent Group, Little....

Shame they didn't break away some months ago. They could have had some real momentum by now.

BagpussAteMyHomework · 26/03/2019 23:05

Greens...

KennDodd · 26/03/2019 23:18

Lib Dems

TracyBeakerSoYeah · 26/03/2019 23:27

17.4 million people then voted to leave the European Union
As the Prime Minister has said, failing to deliver Brexit would cause “potentially irreparable damage to public trust”, and it is imperative that people can trust their Government to respect their votes and deliver the best outcome for them.

16.1million people voted to remain in the European Union
The Prime Minister should also know that failing to change her mind would cause “potentially irreparable damage to public trust”, and it is imperative that people can trust their Government to do the best for the British people by cancelling Brexit & remaining in the European Union

Tolleshunt · 26/03/2019 23:40

Exactly, Tracy!

As if we would have trust in a government that carried doggedly on with this fiasco.

I really am starting to think that Theresa May has lost the plot.

Very slow now, comparitivly. Wondering if it has enough oomph to reach 6 million tomorrow.

Chottie · 27/03/2019 02:02

5,814,053 still going............

notangelinajolie · 27/03/2019 02:10

Just signed for 2 of my DDs and the cat and the dog

lonelyplanetmum · 27/03/2019 06:18

Just put in the details for five (non proactive) but remain minded family and friends and retired neighbours.

All they now have to do is click the link- hope they do.

Hyacintharehighersincelasttime · 27/03/2019 06:30

No wonder TM doesnt want to call a general election

brizzlemint · 27/03/2019 06:35

I really am starting to think that Theresa May has lost the plot.

I think she has and who can blame her? I'm not a supporter of her but I do think that the amount of stress she is under would drive any of us to despair and worse. I know she chose the job but how would any of cope with that amount of pressure in our daily jobs?

Fazackerley · 27/03/2019 06:53

Can't vote Green since they decided to call women 'non men' shame as Caroline Lucas seems quite sound.

BlackeyedGruesome · 27/03/2019 07:32

can't vote for green since they thought it was a good idea to have a paedophoile who tortured a 10 year old girl as an election agent for a candidate.

not voting for libdems as they have welcomed said candidate with dodgy decision making to their party.

Fazackerley · 27/03/2019 07:34

Yes agree. Also the greens trans manifesto is unpalatable to me with all the schools nonsense

windysowindy · 27/03/2019 07:41

The nerves 😭😭😭

mellongoose · 27/03/2019 07:48

How can they possibly say they will not revoke Article 50 when it hasn’t even been debated?

It has been debated. It was last week or the week before (I can't remember). My MP spoke in this debate. It hasn't been voted on yet, but it has been debated. The purpose of a petition is to secure a debate. Nothing more.

IceRebel · 27/03/2019 08:13

It has been debated.

I thought it was being debated on April 1st?? Confused

brizzlemint · 27/03/2019 08:16

Can't vote Green since they decided to call women 'non men' shame as Caroline Lucas seems quite sound.

^ This. I will never vote for anybody who describes women like that. However do you have a link to where she said it?
