If you voted leave, please answer at least three of these, it must include #6.

  1. Can you name a bad EU law?
  2. What will you do outside the EU that you couldn't do inside the EU?
  3. How will WTO tariffs keep us competitive?
  4. How will border controls keep our lorries moving?
  5. Why would any Multinational stay in the UK with tariffs, mountains of “country of origin” paperwork, and border hold ups?
  6. How can you solve the Northern Ireland problem?
  7. The EU citizen Hostile Environment. We now have twice as many NON EU immigrants coming to the UK to work than EU, how is that better?
  8. Under WTO rules any one of 163 countries can hold a trade deal up for years, is that taking back control?
  9. Trade deals take 8 years on average, what do we do in the meantime?
  10. Where do you get your information from, ever thought there may be a hidden agenda?

Very interested to see the responses.

In fact Surfer, if you had actually read some of my posts you would see that I am now of the view that the UK should leave NOW with the worst possible terms so that food imports stop, possibly the army on the streets to stop rioting when the food runs out and all the rest. Only then will some gradually realise that there has to be a better way.
It would be shit, people would die unnecessarily.
HOWEVER I would not actually wish this on ANYONE, there are plenty of other problems on the world with out this self inflicted stupidity.
At this point we differ, you have voted to make other peoples lives worse.

surferjet · 27/11/2018 11:39

If your little mind can't cope with the concept of 'common good' then you are the one in need of help but with the irony that you wouldn’t get any

I agree that you are far more intelligent than me.
& sadly, I did go through a very difficult time about 5 years ago when I did need help ( see even tiny minds hurt sometimes )
But I didn’t get much help, well actually that’s not strictly true, I was put on an 18 month waiting list for a 45 minute appointment.
This lack of help was well before brexit.

BorisBogtrotter · 27/11/2018 11:55

"This lack of help was well before brexit."

And it won't get better because of brexit either.

In fact falling immigration and fewer EU workers in the NHS mean less tax funding and fewer staff to spend the funding on,.

1tisILeClerc · 27/11/2018 12:08

International cooperation and freedom of movement.
I went to a party a while back and present were members of an organisation that has volunteers from across Europe and elsewhere. They work to help the poor and victimised in Myanmar, Afghanistan and other places. They have to deal with girls/young women who have been raped so severely they have to have major surgery to put their various organs back in place.
Forgive me for not feeling sympathy for those with 'Leavers' who couldn't give a shit about others.

mummmy2017 · 27/11/2018 12:36

But we do care about others.
I am sure the UK contribute mega bucks to help support the girls your working with.. Or other similar projects.
Get real about the food your project fear zombie ideas are laughable, on a par with the bus... Make great sound bits but not true.
But saying thiese things is one way to try to prove your point... Even if only fools on here believe you....
We can use WTA. From day one.. The boss of it said so two years ago...
It will be short term. Not long term.

1tisILeClerc · 27/11/2018 12:50

That project was nothing to do with me as I was only a friend of a husband, but the relevant bit is international cooperation, something that leaving the EU is making more difficult.
I have also been to Africa where it is a tradition that they will offer a meal to anyone visiting. This I found embarrassing as a well fed 'Westerner' just visiting and they were offering half their family's food for the day.
Voting down the WA 'deal' is not 'Project Fear'. If you look around where you live and see those sleeping rough, that is not 'Project Fear' it is 'Project shit reality' for them and leaving the EU will make it 'project even more shit' as there is no indication that the Tories especially will actually DO anything about it. Billions are being spent on vanity projects because it makes the government look good (in their minds). It would look a hell of a lot better to resolve homelessness and those who can't afford to eat properly and it wouldn't actually cost that much, in the grand scheme of things.

Talkinpeece · 27/11/2018 12:50

See for mummmy facts will never get in the way of BELIEF
But I feel just like that about the EU. That no matter how many experts you produce the EU is not good for the UK.

She cannot tell us who the UK is stopped from trading with
but she believes that leaving will make everything OK
without a shred of evidence

mummmy
in five years time I hope you'll come back and tell us all the good things Brexit has brought you

BorisBogtrotter · 27/11/2018 12:57

"We can use WTA. From day one.."

It appears not, twenty other countries have objected to our schedules, we can temporarily trade under current ones, but they will have to be changed. BY OTHER COUNTRIES IMPOSING IT ON US!! ( Froth, rage, dribble)

Oh and its WTO.

Not sure what the Women's Tennis Association has to do with trade.

mummmy2017 · 27/11/2018 13:11

WTO is the organisation.
WTA Is the document...

If your arguments are so iron clad... How come they are not making Millions change their minds...
Could it be your wrong on some fronts...
But if course remain are never wrong... And the sky is falling in... Said the little red hen.

BorisBogtrotter · 27/11/2018 13:15

"WTA Is the document."

Nope there is no "World Trade Agreement" document.

"How come they are not making Millions change their minds... "

Well the evidence is that more people have changed their minds. But people like you don't need facts, just whatever you think is right.

You are wrong, yet again.

You also use ellipses incorrectly.

Talkinpeece · 27/11/2018 13:18

mummmy
When Brexit happens, how will you tell in your daily life?
What will get better?

WTA Is the document...

No, really it isn't.

The original GATT, as updated, is still the umbrella treaty for goods, and GATS is the treaty for services, plus there is an agreement for trade related IP, a dispute process, plus dozens of other agreements.

Buteo · 27/11/2018 14:46

Here's a picture to help everyone visualise what the agreements look like.

A little quiz for leavers mainly, but anyone may answer
1tisILeClerc · 27/11/2018 14:54

Thanks Buteo.
Looks like my application form for my driving licence in France.

mummmy2017 · 27/11/2018 17:30

Did you know that correcting the English in someone's post has been proved as a last resort by someone with a failing argument...
Just saying...

mummmy2017 · 27/11/2018 17:33

Well the government are going to give us all 10k a year so no one has too work. Free house as well.... Fuel and food is going to be free... All due to the pot of gold at the end of the EU rainbow...

Buteo · 27/11/2018 17:52

mummmy I think if anyone really wanted to correct your grammar they'd have a field day. Nothing to to do with failing arguments.

mummmy2017 · 27/11/2018 18:08

You are no teacher to me.
I am your equal as a human being.
So what if miss a comma or something.
My personal views are mine.
Yours are yours.
What will be will be...

1tisILeClerc · 27/11/2018 18:16

{I am your equal as a human being. }
At the point where you deliberately disadvantage others you are not 'equal'.

Bearbehind · 27/11/2018 18:22

mummmy do you honestly never stop and think to yourself ‘what if all these things people are saying are true and I actually end up being even worse off’?

Buteo · 27/11/2018 18:44

mummmy you’re clearly not one of my students Wink

mummmy2017 · 27/11/2018 19:21

Bear I want out so badly...
You know this..
Nothing the EU have done in the last Two years has change my views.
This is a club you were never supposed to leave. Even though they had a clause to do so.
How can that be right?

TheyBuiltThePyramids · 27/11/2018 19:24

You're not equal Mummmy in that you are happy for people to suffer in the future in your blind willingness to ignore what is going on. The EU is not making you suffer now, nor in the past. Govt policies are to blame. I really cannot wish this shower of shite on anyone. Though as someone else posted, there is a tiny little part of me that thinks that full on No Deal Brexit should be imposed ( for a week) as nothing, but nothing else will ever get the full enormity of this across.

TheyBuiltThePyramids · 27/11/2018 19:26

The EU didn't have to do have anything. It's us that is leaving. They said what the rules are that's it.
