Only 1 rule.
No c&p posts a mile long, they’re just boring & no one reads them.
Keep it short, sweet, & to the point.

@Mrslife
I think you have time to nip out to the 'offie' to get some in for this evenings drinking and tunes.
Not sure it is the EU causing the decline of Morris dancing, The Germans certainly have their version as do the Spanish.
I think the Polish ........no I am not going there.

CardinalSin · 11/09/2018 14:07

@Mrslife - I hope they beat the Maypole viciously with their jangly stiicks!

In a LIGHT HEARTED and NORMAL way, obviously...

Mrslifecrisis · 11/09/2018 15:55

Cardinal There is nothing light hearted about Morris dancing. Those who practice this noble craft suffer for their art and take it EXTREMELY SERIOUSLY.

"this country ". ConfusedHmmDo you mean England then? Or parts of England.
And if you look at the detail of the Good Friday Agreement you will see how UK/Ireland membership of the EU was crucial.

bellinisurge · 11/09/2018 16:11

@10degreestostarboard not really history for me. Sadly plenty of experience of IRA bombing campaigns on the mainland given where I live.
Stirring that shit up isn't jolly.

10degreestostarboard · 11/09/2018 16:17

Let’s face facts - Scotland has half a foot out of the door and Northern Ireland will follow the money, as they have done since the end of the ‘troubles’

Sorry if that bursts your bubbles

10degreestostarboard · 11/09/2018 16:18

Bellinsurge

Completely agree - the eu shouldn’t be stirring up Northern Ireland

bellinisurge · 11/09/2018 16:20

The EU isn't. The vote to leave is. Ever wonder why they voted Remain as the majority vote in NI?

10degreestostarboard · 11/09/2018 16:21

Bellinsurge

Because the eu will buy them off, like they were bought off via the good Friday agreement

They will follow the money

bellinisurge · 11/09/2018 16:23

@10degreestostarboard - really don't get it, do you?
Oh well.

1tisILeClerc · 11/09/2018 16:43

I think for the good of all, particularly on this thread, that 10degrees should spend a few minutes on the Northern Ireland thread in AIBU, it was on the second page when I checked a moment ago.
Maybe you, 10degrees should read the comments from those whole lived that life, and who lost family members, regardless whether anything was right or wrong. Maybe engage with those posting there.
The EU do not want those days to return but has been said, the UK has to resolve it as their Sovereign responsibility.

Hazardswan · 11/09/2018 16:50

Quitlings ready to quit again on NI and Scotland. Hey, let's throw in the towel on Gibraltar to! And Cornwall has wanted to be it's own country for ages so let's quit Cornwall as well. That naughty London voted remain lets quit on the capital and it can be it's own island amongst England.

bellinisurge · 11/09/2018 16:55

I will now plagiarise the term Quitlings. It's ace.
It'll cheer my dh up no end.

Thecrabbypatty · 11/09/2018 17:12

Blimey is this still rumbling on with you terriers? If your life has diminished to the level where you are getting your kicks from hoarding food and squabbling on the losing side of an argument online which, honestly, you can do nothing about, I think you need to get out more and move on. You are wasting your breath and your typing fingers. No one cares what you think, you're not changing anyone's mind, you're not in a position to call a do over on the vote, it's over. Just get on with your lives. Or actually do something productive, rather than just bicker with strangers.

You're worried, that's ok. Most people arn't and that's OK too. Seriously. Time will tell and that's the end of it. Jeez Hmm

bellinisurge · 11/09/2018 17:15

Hi @Thecrabbypatty - room for everyone here. Not sure I'll be buying you a drink, though.
Cheers.

InfiniteSheldon · 11/09/2018 17:17

Nigel was great today

10degreestostarboard · 11/09/2018 17:18

Bellinsurge means that she/he won’t need to buy you a drink... because like a good prepper she/ he has plenty on hand! That’s the thing about prepping - some ridicule it as ridiculous and tin foil hattery, but it ain’t!

Oh wait, that’s wrong

1tisILeClerc · 11/09/2018 17:19

@Infinite.
Did he have plans made for him?

bellinisurge · 11/09/2018 17:19

Thanks @InfiniteSheldon - but unless he's crawled back under a rock, I'm not looking.

10degreestostarboard · 11/09/2018 17:19

Farage should be knighted - who’s with me?

bellinisurge · 11/09/2018 17:19

@10degreestostarboard - whatever make you happy.

10degreestostarboard · 11/09/2018 17:21

I know what makes you happy sunshine

A nicely stocked larder! :)

KennDodd · 11/09/2018 17:34

@1tisILeClerc

I don't think @10degreestostarboard gives a shit about NI or the people who died in the troubles. Not sure really if they care about anything. But, at least they're honest about it, it seems to me most Leave voters were completely ignorant about NI and those who weren't didn't give a shit anyway.
