Its all going so badly and everyone is worried, but what can be done?

Do we want another referendum and the whole Brexit thing aborted? Do we want another leader doing something different? Do we think Teresa May is doing everything that can be done?

I say "do we think" but to be honest, I don't think anything either way of Teresa May, I don't know what to think.

I don't know what could make things better at this stage

The EU has offered deals, none allow for division of the 4 freedoms. It's UK keeps trying to divide the freedoms & move EU red lines.

Leave said "EU is horrible intransient controlling!" but "if we stand firm it will be easy to make EU move their position & not be controlling." Which is it?

Moussemoose · 07/08/2018 09:26

I've read, I lived in Paris and Brussels I know what happen to all those poor people and also who was responsible for their suffering

Lots of Europeans suffered greatly during and after WW2 which is why they wanted a better world. They forgave the sins of the past and worked together to build a better future.

This in contrast to some in the U.K. who cling on to past glory and refuse to forgive and forget.

If you are lurking and trying to make your mind up take a moment to consider do you want to be about working together and making mistakes but trying to build a peaceful Europe or would you rather be on the bus with people who are still apportioning blame 70+ years later?

Rosstac · 07/08/2018 09:51

Peregrina As per normal a remainer read what’s she wants, I didn’t say all, I said some, most leavers just want controlled immigration( no not the 3 month rule) what’s wrong with a job based visa system ?

Peregrina · 07/08/2018 09:58

I am some of the 17.4 million want a stop or pause to FOM,

Perhaps you should not write garbled sentences then Rosstac. I am some implies that you are at least two people of the 17.4 million who want to stop or pause immigration.

Missing out the "I am" would make it 'Some of....' but that is not what you wrote.

Rosstac · 07/08/2018 10:08

Peregrina Thank for taking me back to my school days with people making fun of my dyslexia,

Peregrina · 07/08/2018 10:14

I had no reason to know that you were dyslexic, so was not making fun of it. I just thought it was the usual Leaver ploy of saying, 'black is white' and when challenged, "it's obvious I said grey."

lljkk · 07/08/2018 10:18

Isn't a job based visa system what already accounts for at least 1/3 of the immigration to UK; and growing? Except the system is capped which means messed up at moment which is leading to shortages, especially for health care workers and scientists. Even the Torygraph says the cap needs removing and skilled workers should be allowed in without visas.

Helmetbymidnight · 07/08/2018 10:27

Rosstac doesn't do facts.

Rosstac thinks middle class people will lose their jobs and homes after Brexit but working class people will hardly be affected. Grin

She doesn't like the three month rule and would like everybody to ignore it, please.

Of course she is NOT A RACIST but she thinks any price to pay will be worth it to get the Poles out.

She thinks the EU are very very nasty because they don't just stop FOM and beg us stay in.
Why won't they? We're the most special people. Snot fair.

Ihatemycar · 07/08/2018 10:49

Ok we can argue all we want and you can say I don't know history or make sense.
All I hear is I don't like the leave vote and I'll complain until I'm blue in the face.
Voted out and whatever we say it's irrelevant. Not up to us either way what happens next. We are at the mercy of politicians and the EU.

Helmetbymidnight · 07/08/2018 10:58

Yeah it’s clear you don’t listen or take on board any information.

At the mercy of politicians like jrm, Boris, Farage and Davis? And at the mercy of the eu? Well what a great position to be in. Well done brexiteers.

The 17 million dont sound happy either: but no doubt they will cheer up come end of March.

lljkk · 07/08/2018 10:58

Don't forget Big Pharma, international corporations, Big Banks and mega-corportists like the Koch Brothers & their Libertarian agenda.

Rosstac · 07/08/2018 11:06

Helmetbymidnight There you go again remainers writing worlds that have not been said, I don’t want anybody that’s here and in full time work or education to be removed, I don’t know where you get that from, making things up as usual, it has been said many times that wanting to control immigration doesn’t make you a racist, it just means people like you can call people racist,
If The EU will not offer anything on FOM I hope the U.K. leave on a no deal and so be it, I never thought that way before but after ready certain people on here I hope they get hit hard and knock them down a bit, perhaps they can suffer as well

Helmetbymidnight · 07/08/2018 11:27

If The EU will not offer anything on FOM

We are leaving the EU. It is not down to the EU to offer anything on FOM.

Do you not understand this at all??

Helmetbymidnight · 07/08/2018 11:36

You are so DESPERATE to end FOM (apart from the three month rule! Grin) that you are happy to see the British economy go on long-term decline, conflict return to Ireland, food prices rise, industries decimated, peoples lives turned upside down, the NHS sold off, science and higher education suffer etc, etc, etc.

You HAVE to be either thick or a racist.

I suspect both in your case.

Most Leave voters have worked out what it was now. Not you though.

Good luck.

Rosstac · 07/08/2018 11:50

Helmetbymidnight What do you not get. if they don't agree a deal with the UK we will be leaving with no deal, which will end FOM as it stands at present.

I love all you remainers with your crystal balls, you have no idea how it will turn out, if we leave with a no deal, All this doom and gloom,
Oh yes the SO called experts, that have been wrong time and time again
I will ask you again I know its hard for you not to mention it as you keep on and on about it, how do we control immigration ( DONT MENTION THE THREE MONTH RULE )

I know I am not a racist, it depends who your putting me up against If am thick or not, but its nice to now its remainers that have to stoop to name calling, I thought you were all much better than that

Bearbehind · 07/08/2018 12:00

I know I am not a racist

Would some who is racist ever state that they are?

I suspect not🤔

Peregrina · 07/08/2018 12:00

We do know that the peace in N Ireland could be endangered. We do know that aviation can't 'just fall back on WTO terms' because they don't cover aviation. We do know that large numbers of EU health care workers have left and the number coming has dropped substantially.
To me, those seem like three important areas which we are right to be concerned about, and more than two years after the vote, no Leavers in authority have made any constructive suggestions. No doubt because it's all right for them, being wealthy white men, whose wealth will cushion them to a large extent.

Mookatron · 07/08/2018 12:05

What I WANT is for the UK to revoke article 50. I never wanted to leave the EU and I will not be happy when (I daren't write 'if') we do.

HOWEVER I am quite prepared to shut up about it it if someone can up with a realistic, workable plan that isn't just 'you lost get over it'. It's kind of up to the Brexiters to work out a plan since the remainers plan should really rely on, well, remaining. But I'm happy to contribute to that plan. I just have absolutely no idea where it will begin or what it will be.

JWIM · 07/08/2018 12:13

If we leave with no deal the many, many EU legal agreements that the UK is party to will end. So it is not a matter of 'guessing' what will happen. So if we are no longer a member of the European Aviation Safety Agency then legal/regulatory consequences automatically apply - no rights to fly, maintenance no longer approved, pilot qualifications not recognised etc. The same known consequences of 'no deal' have been identified and described by our Government, the EU, the media, people on Forums like this.

Rosstac · 07/08/2018 12:20

As I’ve said many times before I willing to bet £100 to a charity ( that’s all I’ve got in savings) that with or without a deal aeroplanes will still be landing and taking off in the U.K. after 29 March 2019
The racist stick time after time, give it a rest and come up with another reason apert from racism that people might want an end to FOM

Ihatemycar · 07/08/2018 12:28

@Rosstac we most give up. The remainders won't hear a word we or the other 17.4 million that want to leave have to say.
All they want is to stay end off.

According to them Armageddon it's round the corner.
I just don't get this EU adoration.

Ihatemycar · 07/08/2018 12:31

@Helmetbymidnight I'm happy. I haven't changed my mind about leaving the EU.
The same way we are arguing here the politicians argue because some think they can put their agenda before a democratic vote and a mandate.

Bearbehind · 07/08/2018 12:43

give it a rest and come up with another reason apert from racism that people might want an end to FOM

You tell us

What possible reason is there for the financial cost of Brexit to be a price worth paying for a minimal reduction in FOM.

There is no doubt the country will pay a price for Brexit- there is simply no evidence at all that suggests otherwise.

Why is FOM more important to you than that?

Rosstac · 07/08/2018 12:49

Ihatemycar I just find it amazing that after all this time all they talk about is the bad things that will happen if we leave the EU, Not once in this time has any of them told us about the good side of the EU (if there is one) the things they might do to help the environment, Health, etc nothing just nothing, time and time again its all about the bad its they are scared of the EU, we are and will always be Europeans

Ta1kinpeace · 07/08/2018 12:49

Freedom of Movement is great for Brits.
THey are in for ONE HECK of a shock when it ends
