It is such a pretty colour the FT isn't it . The Americans are being jolly rotten aren't they , the ungrateful beasts Smile

TalkinPeace · 06/03/2018 13:08

frumpety
But as I said when I first fell down the rabbit hole of this thread
America trade policy consists mainly of bullying and sulking

and Tump has deliberately left posts unfilled at the WTO so it cannot adjudicate on his shenanegins

frumpety · 06/03/2018 13:08

Sorry not sorry ! Right need to go off and watch HIIT videos on youtube , note the word watch Wink

LondonMum8 · 06/03/2018 13:11

No arguments will get through to the numpties here, they just need to start directly feeling the pain and the global abuse from the likes of Trump and Emperor Xi. Sadly the country is going down the drain in the process - such are the wonders of idiocracy.

user1471450935 · 06/03/2018 13:16

Bear,
I am sorry you hate my writing style, no one ever told my how to write on here. On education threads I posted on my style was accepted.
Can I just say, you all say I over acting and I am welcome on here, but you certainly don't give out that feeling. You all seem to think it is easier to attack, never give help, just attack.

Well for the 5th time I don't have an English O level or Gcse. writing is close to impossible sometimes, it takes me 4 times longer to post and at least three previews to get spelling and context right. I am truly one of education's strugglers. So my been here is my triumph, over 33 years of self doubt. It may irritate you, but try living in my world.
I can't easily explain things.

I provide every source I use, as you have asked for, usually dismissed by others on here, so much brighter then me, I wonder do you ever meet people like in real life, because I hope if you do you assist them, and not treat them like me on here, life a big enough struggle, knowing most people think your thick, with been reminded regularly.

Frumpety it is easier to admit to been thick, then be called it, self defence, over 32 years Sad

JWIM · 06/03/2018 13:19

user you are resilient and determined. Please continue to explore what lies behind the headlines and entrenched positions.

frumpety · 06/03/2018 13:22

User sorry you had a difficult time of it at school . I stand by what I said though , you are NOT thick . Hate the word being used to describe anybody, says more about the person using the word than the person they are directing it at .

bearbehind · 06/03/2018 13:27

Loving your last post user much easier to read- thank you Grin

SilverySurfer · 06/03/2018 13:27

I'm here for my six monthly check in and to wave in solidarity to the Leavers. It's really depressing but I guess not surprising that so many Remainers still cling on to their unwarranted superiority complexes and the doom and gloom continues. It must be exhausting.

Ciao.

bearbehind · 06/03/2018 13:35

Thanks for that helpful contribution silvery Hmm

gussyfinknottle · 06/03/2018 13:35

There's no point in feeling superior. We are in this shit storm together caused by people who voted differently to me.
However, forgive me if I laugh my arse off watching the chickens come home to roost even if I'm as badly affected by it as everyone else.

LondonMum8 · 06/03/2018 13:56

@SilverySurfer Good good, keep checking. Just a few more ticks until the proper shit show. In the meantime don't let any facts interfere with your Brexit delusion.

LondonMum8 · 06/03/2018 14:13

BTW Fun fact: UK is on course to fall behind India in terms of GDP this year and land in the 7th place globally. Our 2016 foreign aid budget was over £13bln :D, yet we are leaving the UK in part because £10bln discounted EU budget contributions required to enable a certain industry generating £70bln in tax receipts is deemed excessive. If this is not sheer idiocy I'm not sure what is.

AgnesSkinner · 06/03/2018 15:01

Don’t forget that £1 billion of what we send to the EU each year counts towards our foreign aid budget, which we signed up to with the UN.

user1471450935 · 06/03/2018 15:40

My post on page 26, 0709 was probably my greatest success. It was my opinon on the Ilatian elections. If you had asked me 7 days ago, I would have honestly said don't know or think Italy is heading out of EU

But by using my new knowledge, look at searching europe's view on Italian elections, I end up with completely different views.

Then to have a poster who lives in Italy, say it was a refreshing change from usual stuff posted here. Was amazing. I know no Italians or ever have been there.

But by widening my horizons I learnt alot. I aren't asking you all to change your views , but just look for yourself. I am shocked every day now, how little the uk media tells us of Europe, without its biased views.

Sorry I know I am naive, but think most of my fellow citizens are exactly the same when it comes to the EU

bearbehind · 06/03/2018 16:07

user I’m sure you mean well but most of us round here haven’t had to be told by talkin 2 weeks ago to analyse information in order to form an opinion.

If you’ve never done that before and are happy with your new found skills then great, but please stop preaching to those who have been doing this all our lives.

Yes, we might reach different opinions and yes, there might be people who choose to ignore facts that are out there, but generally people on these threads analyse the information available and then comment.

FaithHopeCharityDesperation · 06/03/2018 17:16

Just seen this article on NI citizens & having EU representation (earlier in the thread it was mentioned).

Although this doesn't address the specific issue that was being discussed (Irish identifying NI citizens), it does cover the EU's proposal to keep just NI within the customs union.

I've formed no opinions on it, was just interested - I've not enough knowledge in this area to comment one way or another.
Just thought people might find it an(other) interesting quandary is all.

DGRossetti · 06/03/2018 17:19

Mays insistence that we don't stay in the customs unions starts to make sense.

What a pretty pickle ...

LondonMum8 · 06/03/2018 17:26

"BriefingsForBrexit.com - because the Heil is not biased enough."

gussyfinknottle · 06/03/2018 17:26

Having a different set of rules for NI would be seen as a betrayal of the Unionists and be the "slippery slope" to Irish unity.
I was a Remain voter. I'm Irish descent.
