Just that really. 52% voted to leave. I know Mumsnet isn't completely representative of the electorate but you would expect at least a few people to be banging the Brexit drum. The ones that were quite vocal seem to have lost their voice. Perhaps they're just bored with the whole thing but their silence really is deafening.

Because Leavers are generally divided into 2 camps

• surfers crowd who genuinely don't give a shit what happens as long as we leave as they can afford to ride the storm, maybe even profit from it
• those who are convinced nothing will change that adversely affects them, made up of a significant proportion of people who haven't realised Brexit was about more than just immigration

Nothing is going to convince the former and if the latter ignore all of the signs that we are not going to get our cake and eat it, there's no convincing them either.

When people start to personally feel the adverse affects then they might start questioning things, trouble is, it'll probably be too late b to then.

Thing is Bear there are winners & losers in every aspect of life, politics being the obvious one. When labour get in some people celebrate & some people cry - same with the Tories. No political decision is ever going to please everyone.

I find that most Remainers can't understand most Brexiteers purely on the basis that most Remainers don't really have any soul.

The negiotitaions have been described as 'disturbingly deadlocked' today; I realise the don't give a shit crew won't care, but hopefully it will start to register with those who think we're going to get our own way, that we're really not.

I think there is definitely something in the arguement that for many brexiteers, facts, evidence, reason and statistics means nothing compared to that feeling in their heart that Britain can stand alone!
