I'll be voting Conservative. We are in a very narrow margin seat with the SNP. I have voted LibDem in the past but not now as I am a leaver and don't agree with their Brexit stance. I am however, even more determined not to have an indi 2 ref. at all. I really want the SNP out of this seat and give them a bloody nose by reducing their majority in WM as much as possible.

WrongTrouser · 07/06/2017 23:49

Thought I'd just pop round to give the Arms an airing before tomorrow night.

I'm the same GardenGeek, voting Tory first time, partly for Brexit purposes, but for many other reasons too.

Limer · 07/06/2017 23:56

Hello fellow Brexiteers, yes it's Theresa all the way here. Hoping my Labour constituency might turn blue if all the Ukippers from 2015 support the Tories this time.

Not been on MN for a while but I assume it's been the usual Corbyn love-in, socialist idealism, manna from heaven, bread and circuses, etc., etc.?

Corcory · 08/06/2017 00:40

That's exactly what it's been like Limer!

It's been wall to wall "don't vote Tory or you are a selfish psychopath" but oddly with added "and they will take away your house so you can't leave a large inheritance to your children, and if you are a wealthy pensioner, they will take away your winter fuel allowance".

Quite confusing really.

surferjet · 08/06/2017 08:10

Morning all - getting the drinks in for tonight.
No need to get food, I've been saving all the Biscuit I get whenever I say anything.
I'll be voting Tory btw.

surferjet · 08/06/2017 08:13

Yep - Caitlin Moran called anyone who doesn't vote labour a cunt - how lovely.

Labour calling everyone to vote for change, vote for something different, a better future for you!
Well we did that last June and you called us all thick idiots.

Charmageddon · 08/06/2017 09:02

Morning all!!

I'll be going out to vote blue later - will be ready for the nail biter tonight GrinWine

Carolinesbeanies · 08/06/2017 09:03

"Labour calling everyone to vote for change, vote for something different, a better future for you!
Well we did that last June and you called us all thick idiots."

This is poetic. Grin Happy election day all

WrongTrouser · 08/06/2017 10:37

I'm finding the campaign on MN for the lifetime beatification of Dianne Abbot somewhat wearing. It seems if we want to discuss whether someone who can't string a sensible answer together on terrorism prevention is suitable to be Home Secretary, we are no better than people posting racist and sexist abuse at her on Twitter. Who knew? It's not like it's an important government post that's going to effect all our lives or anything Hmm

And the "I can't make up my mind who to vote for. I have read all these posts saying JC is the new messiah so I think I will vote for him" rather irritating. It doesn't say much for the politics that the JC crowd have such a low view of people's intelligence.

time4chocolate · 08/06/2017 14:25

Just popping in for a quick lunchtime bevvie. [waves] and hopes everyone's not too worn out by all the political threads this week, it was bad enough earlier in the week and then the lady who can't been mentioned popped up on SkyShock.

Might have to see if I can grab 40 winks later as have a feeling I will be pulling an all-nighter.

Love your comment Surfer Grin

See you all later.

Charmageddon · 08/06/2017 14:29

Posted this on another thread, but it made me lol so posting again here...

I voted for leave but I've just voted for labour.

I voted leave because I wanted to save the NHS and stop the undercutting of wages by a large amount of low skilled immigration.

All of which the Tory's will either do nothing about it make worse.

Labour at least said why they would do in their manifesto.

time4chocolate · 08/06/2017 17:02

Fair do's Kildora Smile. I could be wrong but, I don't think we have all been/are all staunch conservatives in this pub. I know myself I have voted for a different party on occasion. However for this election I will be blue.

Charmageddon · 08/06/2017 17:14

Brexit crossed all usual party lines Killdora - we're all equally loathed as Brexiters on MN regardless of party WinkGrin

I've voted red, yellow & blue in the past - this time is blue, who knows for the future Smile

Killdora · 08/06/2017 17:17

True Grin

Charmageddon · 08/06/2017 17:28

At least you can take a break from the inevitable MN meltdown if Tories get in,
or partake in inevitable MN jubilation if Labour get in - either way, I'm fucked!

(Again!)

Limer · 08/06/2017 18:30

I was much more fired up for Brexit, far less so for this or any general election, because I think everyone has already made up their minds about the GE. Brexit really was a once in a lifetime chance - and I was determined to get a Leave vote.

Perversely I think Labour (and certainly Corbyn) were pro-Brexit, and if Labour had openly supported Brexit, the Tories would've folded shortly after the Leave result, and Labour would now be in power. But I'm glad that scenario never came to pass.

howabout · 08/06/2017 19:35

I'm a fellow Labour voting Brexiter. I agree with your analysis Limer. I fear May will severely disappoint on Brexit.

Charmageddon · 08/06/2017 21:57

Here goes.........

Carolinesbeanies · 08/06/2017 21:59

Gina Miller on Channel 4! Really?!!!

WrongTrouser · 08/06/2017 22:00

Good evening, has no-one got the drinks in yet? Wine

Charmageddon · 08/06/2017 22:01

Ooof.

Hung parliament?

Carolinesbeanies · 08/06/2017 22:02

It could be a Corbyn coalition of chaos! Well well well!
