Well here we are, almost 9 months on from the referendum & A50 is finally set to be triggered this month.
We've had petitions, marches, tantrums & tears, from the hardcore remainers desperately trying to stop the will of the people, but they can't.

So let's get the champagne out of the cellar ready & waiting - this is the last Brexit Arms thread so let's celebrate!

Of course, the 'Remoaners' will have to figure out how we we can make Brexit work.

You hardly expect the Brexiteers to do it. Working anything out just isn't their thing, is it. D'oh!

Bearbehind · 20/03/2017 21:16

I am hoping after the 29th remoaners will start to accept reality and start to think about how we can make Brexit work.

That sums it these threads really.

Brexit was your choice- you should have figured out how it can work before making that choice.

Kaija · 20/03/2017 21:16

"I am hoping after the 29th remoaners will start to accept reality and start to think about how we can make Brexit work"

I'm on board. Tell us exactly what we are supposed to be doing. Getting on a bus to Boston to pick fruit? Training as a trade negotiator? If you have any more ideas I'm all ears.

Valentine2 · 20/03/2017 21:17

Not "we" Anon. Brexiters and Remainers are oceans apart right now. YOU wanted it. YOU got it. YOU make it work. It's my country too but Brexit wasn't what I wanted precisely because I had NO idea how it will work. Confused that's why I am Remain.

Badders123 · 20/03/2017 21:17

Sort your own fucking mess out
😡😡😡😡😡

Anon1234567890 · 20/03/2017 21:17

Why should WE start to think about how to make Brexit work? Not my circus. Not my monkeys.

So its not your country then?
If you don't want to make our future better then I hope you will at least stop trying to make it worse.

Valentine2 · 20/03/2017 21:20

And that is why I think surfer has an obligation to keep this thread going because after 29th, Remainers will have absolutely no idea what to do.

Valentine2 · 20/03/2017 21:22

Anon
X posted with you and replied your point in that.
It's absolutely my country too but Brexit wasn't what I wanted precisely because I had NO idea how it will work. that's why I voted Remain.

Badders123 · 20/03/2017 21:26

And anyway you are all sick of experts, right?

Maybe next time you need surgery you could
ask Keith 2 doors down what he thinks?

You've got what you wanted

Fucking deal with it

Kaija · 20/03/2017 21:27

So anon, what are you planning to do to make Brexit work?

Badders123 · 20/03/2017 21:27

Valentine - this doesn't feel like my country anymore

I think Teresa the appeaser has a shock coming on her "victory tour" 🤔

Badders123 · 20/03/2017 21:29

God, yes!

What's the plan?

Some of you have been hankering after this for years!

Did you give any thought to what would actually happen?

At all?

Badders123 · 20/03/2017 21:30

Anyway...
Leaver or remainer
Best of luck
We're going to need it

Valentine2 · 20/03/2017 21:31

Badders
Oh no I am not abondoning this country easily. And if Surfer stops this thread, I would write to MNHQ to get her permanently banned. It's not fucking football we are playing at. It's national security and sovereignty. And Mumsnet is a national asset IYSWIM. Angry

Valentine2 · 20/03/2017 21:32

I can't be bothered to direct my grammar or spelling now. Apologies for that.

CountMagnus · 20/03/2017 21:32

Brexit will be a great generator of civil service jobs - there's a plus point.

GhostofFrankGrimes · 20/03/2017 21:37

Brexit will be a great generator of civil service jobs - there's a plus point.

but Brexiters hate bureaucracy! Wait till Brexit gets sticky and the civil service will feel the wrath of the patriots!

GhostofFrankGrimes · 20/03/2017 21:41

Why would posters leave the thread after A50? If you are dining at the michelin starred restaurant called Brexit you wouldn't just want the appetiser you'd want a main course and dessert surely?

CountMagnus · 20/03/2017 21:41

But it will be proper red-white-and-blue-John-Bull British bureaucracy - none of that wasteful EU behemoth bureaucracy.

RufusTheRenegadeReindeer · 20/03/2017 21:43

Valentine

You could always start a new thread if surfer doesn't fancy it

An 'under new management' type thing

I do quite like the Brexit Arms, i think it was started with good intentions and i like some of the clientele

Badders123 · 20/03/2017 21:43

But there will be jam

Jam!!

As much as we want!!!

Valentine2 · 20/03/2017 21:45

count
Can you please explain a bit more? civil service is a vast area and it would be great to hear a bit of elaboration as to where these jobs will be needed?

RufusTheRenegadeReindeer · 20/03/2017 21:45

I dont like jam

Prefer marmalade

GhostofFrankGrimes · 20/03/2017 21:45

2 Brexit certainties.

  1. The Eu will be blamed when things don't go to plan. The UK can do no wrong. The gutter press will lead the attack on the "nasty" EU.
  1. Remainers will be expected to get behind Brexit - which is leaver code for "help! experts what do we do now!?"
surferjet · 20/03/2017 21:46

Valentine2

I have no obligation to you or anyone to keep these threads going, Hmm if anyone else wants to keep the Brexit Arms going they're more than welcome! You included.

I've got a fucking life & I'm not wasting anymore of it arguing on mumsnet.,
