We have heard much talk about "the will of the people" recently. If you are not one of the people supporting the Tory hard Brexit or "Brexit at any cost", you may be interested in "Stop the silence", which gives a voice to the rest of us - those who voted Leave thinking of a Norway-style model, those who thought they were saving the NHS, those who voted Remain. Please like on FB and re-tweet.

Oh, and welcome Biggsy, I assume Brexit Hq have just realised that they need someone to bombard Mumsnet again...

woman12345 · 28/02/2017 17:36

The scripts are sometimes a bit samey, CardinalSin . Maybe the writers have been deported Grin

TheElementsSong · 28/02/2017 17:37

It's after 5pm folks Smile.

woman12345 · 28/02/2017 17:39

And, as we were, [ brew]?

There is hardly a day goes by that there isn't a fundamentalist re-moaner screaming in the news about Brexit being the next apocalypse. On mumsnet its a lot more frequent Grin. Rather than Stop the silence, how about we campaign to have a little bit of silence because my ears are bleeding. Gin almost gin o'clock.

RufusTheSpartacusReindeer · 28/02/2017 17:41

Seriously elements they knock off at 5?

Where is the dedication!!!

What about the right wing remainers???? I am getting concerned about them

whatwouldrondo · 28/02/2017 17:43

Actually Biggsy did post late last night, can't think why i checked back.....

woman12345 · 28/02/2017 17:44

They're clearly not foreign workers, then, knocking off so early.Grin
It's funny, they must be interns at westmonster. It's a job, I suppose. Or not.

whatwouldrondo · 28/02/2017 17:45

AnonbecauseIjustsignedonanddon'twantanymoreofanidentity* You could start with giving the Daily Mail rhetoric a rest

YERerseISootTHEwindy · 28/02/2017 17:46

Sorry I think this is spammy. I think if you want to post this it is supposed to be in the petitions section.
I tried to do a similar thing about a different issue and it got reported. Not being mean, just letting you know I think it is against the rules.

comfortandjoyce · 28/02/2017 17:49

Yeah, keep pretending anyone who dares oppose your opinion is a paid troll, it's a good substitute for reality and critical thinking. All the 17 million Leave voters who won the referendum were paid trolls too, right?

Right?

YERerseISootTHEwindy · 28/02/2017 17:57

No I do not believe that to be true. I did one opposing a second scottish referendum and it was deleted. I was not paid to post it. I was told it was not in the right place as it breeches guidelines. This looks like the same thing to me. I believe strongly in free speech, but what is good for one on mumsnet is surely good for another.

CardinalSin · 28/02/2017 18:01

Try reading Comfort.

I've engaged with plenty of disagreement on these threads, but I am absolutely sick of the trolls who do keep turning up and using Kellyann Conway tactics to divert away from the arguments going on and make out that they are the victims. There were plenty of shills during the campaign (maybe some names will spring to mind), that MN were entirely complicit with, and every time a new user comes on, just for a few days, to "argue" on these threads it's pretty effing obvious what is going on.

I'm happy to argue with anyone who is actually engaging in the points raised, but it seems, more often than not, to be the Conway/Trump/Farage form of straw man argument. And I have to say, you're pretty adept at it yourself.

RufusTheSpartacusReindeer · 28/02/2017 18:06

Dont worry yersel

I dont think comfort was referring to you

YERerseISootTHEwindy · 28/02/2017 18:08

If this thread is not treated in the same way as mine it will taint my view of mumsnet.

RufusTheSpartacusReindeer · 28/02/2017 18:10

yersel

Have you reported the thread?

YERerseISootTHEwindy · 28/02/2017 18:16

I have yes (sorry op just think same rules for everyone) Grin

comfortandjoyce · 28/02/2017 18:17

Oh my goodness, I'm supposed to "engage with the points raised"? The most common points raised tonight have been that the government is the same as the Nazis for enforcing immigration regulations. How exactly do you "engage" with that beyond pointing out what a crock of shite it is?

twofingerstoEverything · 28/02/2017 18:18

Leave voters who won the referendum were paid trolls too, right?
Hmm
Bit of a leap you've made there, comfort.

whatwouldrondo · 28/02/2017 18:19

Yersel It isn't a petition though. It is just a link to a webpage / Facebook page. Plenty of those across Mumsnet, it is in the spirit of sharing information about campaigns, on everything under the sun, not eliciting signatures to a petition.

comfortandjoyce · 28/02/2017 18:21

twofingerstoEverything

No, the leap is Remainers calling online Leave posters paid trolls when 17 million people voted leave in the real world.

CardinalSin · 28/02/2017 18:22

Feel free not to Comfort, if you think it's that bad. Or maybe start your own thread where you can stun us all with some amazing pearls of infinite wisdom to show us all how misinformed we are...

TheElementsSong · 28/02/2017 18:23

No, the leap is Remainers calling online Leave posters paid trolls when 17 million people voted leave in the real world.

I'm sure you'll be able to C&P the exact post that calls all Leave posters paid trolls.
