Yes Cheers to Claig, hope she returns soon in a new disguise Wine

Mother if you live in Belgium, in what specific way are you worried about the Brexit effect on the UK? Do you plan to return here?

WrongTrouser · 08/02/2017 22:22

Fwiw I think fake's reference to Jo Cox was a cross post in reply to woman's about NF but what *woman's had to do with anything else on the thread, I can't say

Inkanta · 08/02/2017 22:22

DebbieDownersGiveItARest · 08/02/2017 22:40

Late to party cheers everyone WineWine loving the not so veiled threats to the Lords! Vote for it or we will exterminate you. Confused. If they are so opposed maybe they will be happy to loose job. Semi your prayers obviously worked on Diane Grin.

I think as the eu goes down they will be much happier going down without us. We were always the plucky thorn in their side. Other people recognise what we brought to table but not same from inside eu.

DebbieDownersGiveItARest · 08/02/2017 22:49

But mother your posts always sound samey like you don't read the links etc. I posted large tract on the bleached chicken thread. I aim no farming expert but I aim just enough interested in food to know we in the UK have leading standards on pig farming, keeping chickens etc. Maybe if you don't actually live here this is why you don't seem to realise this. Standards on eu farms are patchy and low. Mass disease has spread in animals in eu, because they don't classify this strain no one cares.

Now once we have left we can throw off this shoddyness and keep our own high standards.

As a Scot, I'm dying inside watching these utter, utter nincompoops.

Hardly post much. Not since Claig, Chris and South got banned. Lonely without my fellow centipedes so I find myself here. Can't really enter a Trump thread these days it'll be 10 vs 1

time4chocolate · 08/02/2017 23:09

Missswatch - Southallgirl is still around Smile. I think Chris maybe under a new disguise? but my spidey senses are not picking up Claig though Sad. I don't blame you for giving the Trump threads a wide berth, more like 50v1 than 10v1 Wink

howabout · 08/02/2017 23:24

Ach because there's at least a million of us that choose to do things differently Wine

In small land locked countries like Belgium I can see why FOM maybe a better prospect for them. Because they are so small, its also un likley those countries will have such a big draw as UK does to the whole EU and therefore unlikely to have such immigrant inbalance as the UK does.

I live in the UK and therefore I can see how damaging Immigration has been. Thats one reason however why I voted out.

DebbieDownersGiveItARest · 09/02/2017 09:40

BTW I have no issue with the way you post mother - its more concern that some remain voters seem locked in a vice and cant see the positive reasons for leaving, like increasing animal welfare standards and labeling etc. I think if some remain posters could at least try and be more positive - they would be generally happier about Brexit Smile

boredofbrexit · 09/02/2017 10:30

I think you need to check out a map of Europe?

Whilst you are all celebrating please just spare a thought for those friends, colleagues, neighbours and associates (all 3 million of them) who are still no more certain over what their future may be in this country.

Whilst I fully expected the bill to be passed, I am utterly disgusted that our parliament voted against the amendment to guarantee their right to remain. We as a country are surely better than that? Using people's lives as negotiating chips?

I don't know how anyone can be gleeful at the moment. And before anyone suggests that it will all be OK and we won't tear families apart and kick them out - clearly that is not true or the amendment would have been passed. It only works as a negotiating strategy is the risk is real.

This amounts to a large proportion of the families in my daughter's school (5 families with at least one EU parent in her class alone). Seeing the stress and hurt this is causing is heartbreaking. They don't all have a home in their birth countries, or any way of returning. They have made their lives here and now there is a chance that they will be forced to leave.

This is utterly disgraceful behaviour and rather than getting me on board (which to be honest I desperately want to do) it's pushing me further away from supporting our heartless government and useless opposition party.

DebbieDownersgiveitarest · 09/02/2017 11:38

I think you need to check out a map of Europe?

Yes I know Belgium and Netherlands have coast I used the wrong phrase but as a stupid uneducated leaver what do you expect Grin

In my minds eye I see small countries with many other countries along their borders, ie France, Luxembourg, Germany and Netherlands etc. They have totally different needs and so on than the UK.

Mother I too know Slough well Smile you are probably near ish me or where before you left the UK.

But really top of my agenda for voting was the welfare of the people in the UK

In which case you will have read Slough Councils memorandum to Parliament? Which details the direct impact of immigration in Blairs time to Slough, ie specific numbers and so on in local schools? It was also Slough that was the basis of the Panorama program on mass immigration and also Slough mentioned in a later date in Beds in Sheds study and rougue landlords.....
