Semi....never mind
At least you are not a "kept woman"
Lazy stereotypes abound it seems!!

Of course, your 'higher rate tax-paying husband' is keeping me after all.

Can I just take this opportunity to thank him, and apologise for not voting in the way my generous benefactors wanted me too.

SemiPermanent · 03/02/2017 18:47

My thoughts exactly Surfer Wine

Debs, you're perfect as you are - spelling & grammar are hit & miss with me too.

Just ever so slightly vexing when someone swans in to chastise Rorty for incorrect phrasing, yet says fuck all about the repeated mangling of the same words on their other haunt.

CeciledeVolanges · 03/02/2017 18:48

God, clearly you are semi

CeciledeVolanges · 03/02/2017 18:51

And it isn't pedantry, it actually means a different thing if you get it wrong. Given that I was correcting a post which included ad hominem insults about posters who generally put a lot of time and consideration into their threads, I think it was a mild form of retailiation, I can always compare this thread to vomit without provocation if you prefer of course.

Badders123 · 03/02/2017 18:56

Semi - I sincerely hope that I am wrong and
That we are bound for a new, bright EU free future
It's just that every stat and every word and gesture that leavers and their supporters make persuade me that we are all fucked
Good luck in your future life

howabout · 03/02/2017 19:02

Can I join in with the pedantry please - I've had a very long afternoon with toddlers. Wine

I agree with Semi Lose, Losers - been making my fingers itch for ages.

Also I have chlorinated water coming out my taps as I believe do most UK households and I'm pretty sure all the nice posh salad bags in the supermarket are also washed in all sorts. I miss American food!

As for economic probability I give you Michael Fish.

Have you been introduced to paragraphs yet?

They can be your friend.

But yes, thank you for taking time out to 'correct posts'.

SemiPermanent · 03/02/2017 19:05

Good luck in your future life

Thank you.
You too Flowers
Hope your mum is recovering ok.

Badders123 · 03/02/2017 19:05

Thank you

InformalRoman · 03/02/2017 19:09

Europe focuses on controlling pathogens such as campylobacter on the farm

And,....its still in the EU food chain, I don't get the point?

Because campylobacter, as a naturally occurring organism, is difficult to eradicate, but it's more effective to tackle the root cause than to treat the symptoms.

DebbieDownersGiveItARest · 03/02/2017 19:15

But instances of C are going up in the EU?

Does America not tackle root cause? A first world country?

SemiPermanent · 03/02/2017 19:29

The EU Ref in food terms.....

DebbieDownersGiveItARest · 03/02/2017 19:46

Lordy, Spot On Grin Grin

InformalRoman · 03/02/2017 19:47

The US is poor in tackling the root cause with chickens - it's cheaper and easier to wash the processed carcass than to tackle hygiene on farms.

howabout · 03/02/2017 19:51

(Sorry informal, this looks like I'm directing stuff at you - I'm not, I'm just pissing about)

DebbieDownersGiveItARest · 03/02/2017 20:00

very funny semi Grin

Informal not sure what ansa is on chickens Hmm The EU is seeing a rise is C, as some one said with Tipp we - or the EU would have had them anyway....plenty of farms in the EU are not meeting their own welfare standards...

Meat is one thing i am funny about I only buy Waitrose meat because they seem to be the only supermarket not involved in the many food scandals ( scandals that is I know even a waitrose chicken has this C thing) and care about the provenance of their food chain.

InformalRoman · 03/02/2017 20:00

S'okay Semi - I know you're just messing Grin
