I suggest we send over some of our strongest smelling liquor to the other thread where there is a mass outbreak of fits of the vapours.

InfiniteSheldon · 17/01/2017 15:27

TF what a moron 'nobody voted to leave the single marker ' er yes actually I did I knew what I was voting for as did my dh and oh I don't know several million of us at least.

RortyCrankle · 17/01/2017 16:01

Pours self a large red wine and sends up three cheers for Theresa May. An excellent speech, confirming what most of us want to hear. I was getting a little concerned but am now reassured that we are on the right path. I just want them to get on with it now.

Thank you to howabout for the 12 point list - I shall put it on my pinboard as a reminder.

I advise not reading the other threads on here, the Remainers are frothing over, unless you want a good laugh of course Grin

Cheers to you all Wine

SemiPermanent · 17/01/2017 16:02

Bored...
Meanwhile, in the Remain camp...

SemiPermanent · 17/01/2017 16:04

I would but apparently we are all Chihuahua's that can read the DM its beyond my capabilities Grin

Well, what a speech, I found myself nodding along furiously to it. I missed the part about the EU fragmenting if they squeezed to hard but what I did see, Bravo That Woman.

Good strong re buff to Merkel. Smile Funny that its come down to really Germany and the Uk again!!

RortyCrankle · 17/01/2017 16:15

Hahaha - poor darlings Grin

DebbieDownersGiveItARest · 17/01/2017 16:16

Cheers to you too Rorty Wine

DebbieDownersGiveItARest · 17/01/2017 16:17

I just feel relief the utter sheer madness Blair subjected us too - will come to a close. We have suffered, will we continue to suffer but thankfully, at long last - an end will come.

LazySusan11 · 17/01/2017 16:17

The venom on some of the threads from those who wanted to remain isn't very nice. All fear based scaremongers who really don't appear to like change. I resent the comments about being racist, uneducated etc. Not on

RortyCrankle · 17/01/2017 16:20

A serious question - how many BMWs and Mercs are exported to this country every year, without all the other stuff Germany export to us. I seriously don't see zero BMWs and Mercs in the UK after Brexit so think Merkel is going to have to find a way to satisfy both sides, or am I wrong?

CrystalMcPistol · 17/01/2017 16:21

'I would but apparently we are all Chihuahua's that can read the DM its beyond my capabilities'

And in English?

DebbieDownersGiveItARest · 17/01/2017 16:23

Rorty, Merkel is in very interesting position isn't she. She has asked Business leaders to stand by her. Will they? Will she sacrifice trade and business for the sake of the EU - I think she will, she has sacrificed everything else.

DebbieDownersGiveItARest · 17/01/2017 16:30

Apparently the young are going to suffer according to red because the old baby boomers are arrogant and cant think critically. Confused

The young, currently consigned to a life out of work across the EU of course don't matter, nor the young of our country hit by the biggest wave of migration ever - don't matter.

Its the young who may have to spend 5 mins applying for a 10 euro visa are going to get it where it hurts. Confused

SemiPermanent · 17/01/2017 16:31

Agree Lazy, much hyperbole and fearing for futures.
I'm so heartened by this now - hope the Supreme Court ruling goes ok.

SemiPermanent · 17/01/2017 16:32

I agree Debbie - the only people that matter are the right sort of people.
Offensive in the extreme.

CrystalMcPistol · 17/01/2017 16:33

I see.

CrystalMcPistol · 17/01/2017 16:35

Hmmm, I'm not sure Red would agree with your interpretation. But such is the nature of the internet I suppose. People mould statements to suit themselves.

SemiPermanent · 17/01/2017 16:37

Well I don't agree with some of her interpretations tbh - I enjoy reading her posts as a rule, but today not so much.

DebbieDownersGiveItARest · 17/01/2017 16:38

Yes It was only a quick skim read Crystal and a comment on one small part I saw. Hopefully she wouldn't say baby boomers are stupid and arrogant and wouldn't presume they wont be affected and no matter how many polls are done you still have no real idea how many people voted and where. You can get an idea - but thats all. Plenty of young people voted Leave as well.

And thank goodness. Grin

DebbieDownersGiveItARest · 17/01/2017 16:40

People mould things to suit themselves all the time, and whilst I enjoy rarely skimming through some of reds tracts - they are written with a big slant on them. Ie she - moulds to suit herself - thats what people do - all the time everywhere.

CrystalMcPistol · 17/01/2017 16:40

'I enjoy reading her posts as a rule, but today not so much'

She's usually quite calm and collected but today she's angry. Totally understandable.
