Bear, are you OK - You Sound wound up.

SemiPermanent · 30/01/2017 16:32

Looking forward to seeing him grab Putins hand when they meet and go down stairs then

Slopes, not stairs.
Slopes.

As has been repeated.

SemiPermanent · 30/01/2017 16:34

This thread scares the shit out of me to be honest.

Shock Well if this thread scares the shit out of you, no wonder you're so hysterical about the other stuff...
SemiPermanent · 30/01/2017 16:35

Do you think he fancies her Debbie?

Wow!
Wonder if he went in for a snog too?!

Bearbehind · 30/01/2017 16:37

Bear, are you ok- you sound wound up

I am having a bad day as it goes but this thread isn't helping!

Thanks for asking though.

SemiPermanent · 30/01/2017 16:40

Signature patterns re the 'Ban Trump!' petition are being forensically examined on the Westminster thread.

Apparently there are correlations between high Remain voting areas and the numbers of petition signatories from those areas.

I think this is significant PROOF that Remain voters are more caring than Leave voters (as well as cleverer, natch).

surferjet · 30/01/2017 16:42

Bear. Wine just chill out fgs, you know what it's like on here, but you also know we consider you our friend.
Sorry you're having a bad day Flowers

Oh Bear, sorry you're having a bad day (genuine) BrewCake

Step away from this thread - it will just wind you up more.
Often when I'm in a shitty mood or having a crappy day I seem to deliberately seek out things to wind me up even more, and then make myself feel even more rubbish.

Bearbehind · 30/01/2017 16:47

Thanks for the Wine Cake and Flowers

I only wish things IRL could be resolved so easily.

DebbieDownersGiveItARest · 30/01/2017 16:47

Lets all give Bear a Hug Smile and a large drink. On me.

Semi, no I don't think he does but some posters who Like to watch Trump in motion feel he has crossed boundaries with TM Grin.
Just musing on the instant combustion's that would occur in some of the electorate on both sides, if they get it on... Grin

They certainly feel the need to prove this caring side, but if I was dismissive of all the awful stuff they are, I too may be scrabbling round on easy targets to prove I was caring as well.....or maybe not.

Dapplegrey1 · 30/01/2017 16:49

bear - what's your view on only people above a certain IQ/level of education being allowed to vote?

SemiPermanent · 30/01/2017 16:50

Most things are ok in the end, even though it seems inconceivable at the time - I'm a veteran of shitty, seemingly insurmountable things.
Lots of love to you, and genuine good feelings xx
Flowers

Bearbehind · 30/01/2017 16:51

dapple could you be anymore goady?

SemiPermanent · 30/01/2017 16:53

Lol Debbie Grin
I now have 'let's get it on' playing in my head whilst imagining T & the Donald... ❤️ ❤️ ❤️

DebbieDownersGiveItARest · 30/01/2017 16:57

Embarrassing for Tm/DT too. Some one mentioned they hope he doesn't try to touch the Queen, he does seem to lack etiquette Grin imagine Blush

InformalRoman · 30/01/2017 17:40

It wasn't just the hand holding bit - it was Trump then tapping her hand to signal it was time to release that was really telling. It's a power thing, like when men shake hands and then do the elbow grip or shoulder pat thing

WrongTrouser · 30/01/2017 17:45

A slightly more cynical interpretation would be that for some it is yet another weapon being wheeled out of the anti-referendum-result armoury (excuse clumsy metaphor).

For you Bear Wine

SouthallGirl · 30/01/2017 17:49

Trump is really taking a lot of heat from the exceptionally undemocratic Democrat voters - much admiration from me. Feminists have taken to the streets and are hysterical that more MENA should be allowed into USA. Ummm ........ do not remember any protests in the UK or USA about how lightly the perps got off a year ago and continue to do so. That's a type of feminism I have definitely never come across before.

SouthallGirl · 30/01/2017 17:51

I've been away from the news for a fortnight. Is it true that some MPs here have started a petition not to allow the President of the US to come to Britain? Did I hear correctly? Who are these bozos?

RufusTheSpartacusReindeer · 30/01/2017 18:28

but interesting that some remainers want to chew the fat about the May/Trump Romance going down a few steps - than TM 100% Assurances over Nato.

Really sorry i missed the memo that said that i had to reply to every question on here whether addressed specifically to me or not Grin

i agree with bear on that one

Sorry you are having a bad day bear

SemiPermanent · 30/01/2017 18:35

Southall, it's all very exciting - The People Have Spoken apparently (well, a million people have clicked on their smartphones to register that they agree with an e-petition).

Whether Elvis and Mickey Mouse have signed it as with the Demand For Another Referendum petition is as yet unknown.

Regardless, there is an e-petition where disgruntled citizens Demand! That the Donald not be allowed a state visit to the UK.

Apparently this is Very Necessary, as it shows him that We The People of the UK don't like his Muslim ban.
(Even though we all ignored the fact that Obama created the framework & named the countries in the first place, obvs).

And it is Outrageous! that a politician/president should act in a manner consistent with their rhetoric.
What We The People Expect! Is that our politicians should continue to say one thing and do something completely different.

We do not approve of truthfulness.

Apparently.

SemiPermanent · 30/01/2017 18:35

I am paraphrasing, obvs.

surferjet · 30/01/2017 18:40

Petition to stop the elected president of America visiting the queen filed in the bin - as expected.
Did anyone really think a petition would stop the most powerful man on Earth coming here? America, one of our closest allies?

Tryingtosaveup · 30/01/2017 18:41

Sorry you are having a bad day Bear. Just try and remember that this is only an MN thread and not RL.
Having said that people should remember that DT has just been democratically elected by the American people.
He repeatedly said what he was going to do if h. e was elected. I remember him saying, to cheers from the crowds that he would ban Muslims.
He has not banned Muslims. He has ordered a temporary ban on all national from 7 countries irrespective give of religion. Many Americans are in favour.....look at the BBC website.
I remember being very annoyed about Obama ( whom I admire) commenting on our referendum. We have no right to try and influence things when the democratically elected POTUS keeps his promises to his electorate.

RufusTheSpartacusReindeer · 30/01/2017 18:42

Eerrmmm

I am not sure that stopping from coming was the point of the petition

Happy to accept that there may be more than one petition though
