Noise enforcement squad!
Where's the landlady? Surfer?
We've been advised of a a lock in and it's reported that the jukebox has been stuck playing Pulp - Common People - all night.

Pizza hate to break it to you this way - bit like being dumped by text - but it's not a real pub dear. We've all got real life's, jobs, kids, debts, where we all have to be serious and responsible. Everyone needs a little downtime. I'd give you a biscuit but the pubs run out.

Bored it's not me who came up with such a ridiculous metaphor but it is you who refers to themselves as 'landlady' and taking it just a tad serious.

It's been mildly entraining. So long.

SeekEveryEveryKnownHidingPlace · 10/11/2016 16:03

It really shouldn't be any surprise that you lot are sometimes considered a little hard of thinking, you know.

OH BUT HEY LOOK THE FRUIT MACHINE IS MAKING PRETTY COLOURS OVER THERE!

IamWendy · 10/11/2016 16:04

This thread is supposed to be a relaxed thread. It's not the leavers posting epic rants posts with a million links to an even longer rant text about how wrong we are. At what point are we allowed to simply chat about things without having to cite sources or attach 6 graphs?

Maybe this refusal to allow people to discuss things in their own way is why remainders are so shocked at referendum and election results.

Ugh, another wall of text from red

I make no apology. I'm not forcing you to read it. I have freedom to post as I like. I do not have to post to your standards or even for your benefit. There are plenty of others on MN.

If you would like me to summarise though:

The suggestion that the Illuminati worried is a totally bullshit idea

SeekEveryEveryKnownHidingPlace · 10/11/2016 16:05

In fact, it's fucking puerile, deliberately ignorant, infantile, willful stupidity, isn't it? I suspect all this lock-in whimsy is partly calculate to antagonize anyone who does think you're stupid or want to discuss things seriously - but it really does just confirm all the cliches of Leave voters which apparently bother you so much.

I do get that some people want to avoid the very long detailed posts but the fact is, none of you on here are actually up for discussing Brexit and its implications at all.

howabout is the most recent in the very long list of Leavers who say 'I'll give you a reason' tell us about something that isn't caused by and won't be changed by leaving the EU then not actually discuss it further.

It is tedious and saddening that all you actually want to do is sit on your fluffy clouds singing la la la.

BoredofBrexit · 10/11/2016 16:13

I don't think my sense of humour conforms to groupthink standards.

Wendy, how about playing something by that top band The Illuminat next?

seek, spot on! Despite frequent claims about the "working class man's" alienation and the hegemony of the "elite", my request for a definition of those terms has been ignored repeatedly. If I was so confident using those terms as some posters are, I'd be more than happy to share my views as to what categories mean. Until then, I will continue to consider anyone who uses them as unthinking parrots repeating the demagogues' soundbites.

BoredofBrexit · 10/11/2016 16:15

Sit HERE bear, In this thread, yes, we don't want to partake. Some of us post in a different way elsewhere.

God help us all if 'the elite' do decide they need to listen more carefully to this kind of braindead drivel. I get that it's meant in the spirit of a nine year old saying 'la la can't hear you, oh does anyone hear a silly fly buzzing', I really do.

But wouldn't you think that if you were capable of rational discussion and thought, and you were also offended at being thought as thick as mince, you might want to counter those images? Unless you knew perfectly well that you couldn't?

Fuck, I'm so elite.

Bearbehind · 10/11/2016 16:19

If you don't want to talk about Brexit what the fuck is the point of this thread being in the EU referendum section then?

MangoMoon · 10/11/2016 16:20

It's rather illuminating to see who posts nasty shit & seems to derive an amount of pleasure from being twats to other anonymous folk.

Also, just pointing out that the illuminati bollocks was started by someone who just pops on these threads every now and again to make goady cunty comments to & about posters who happened to vote Leave.

SeekEveryEveryKnownHidingPlace · 10/11/2016 16:20

Clearly Brexit doesn't have to mean Brexit, Bear!

IamWendy · 10/11/2016 16:21

Typical smallfox: more disablist rubbish.
Dunce- A person who is slow at learning; a stupid person:

surferjet · 10/11/2016 16:24

This thread was my idea & my idea alone, so if you want to complain to anyone complain to me.
I started it in the innocent hope that we'd chat about Brexit without all the arguments that were happening on all other ref threads.
I was hoping for some 'light relief' if you like, just a place to not get too bogged down with links & statistics & remainers 'demanding' answers.
I know the pub idea was a bit crass but I'm not a marketing genius sadly, & I wouldn't be a pub landlady if it was the last job of Earth! It's just cyber escapism.
So, either enter these pub doors in the spirit of the thread ( friendly & inclusive ) or walk on by.
Anyway, it's almost getting dark so time to get the drinks in Wine
Cheers everyone!

jaws5 · 10/11/2016 16:29

So it's now "disablist" to point out that someone's arguments are shallow and repetitive?

Bearbehind · 10/11/2016 16:30

surfer you don't 'own' this or any other thread- you can't insist all complaints are directed to you.

I actually agree with mango about some of the posts this afternoon but all that is doing is detracting from the fact posters on here can't support things they say.

You do genuinely seem to want a place that you can spout all the nonsense you like and no one will challenge it but, really, what is the point in that?

SeekEveryEveryKnownHidingPlace · 10/11/2016 16:32

I think Surfer does actually think she's a landlady!

birdybirdywoofwoof · 10/11/2016 16:33

Also, just pointing out that the illuminati bollocks was started by someone who just pops on these threads every now and again to make goady cunty comments to & about posters who happened to vote Leave.

Was that directed at me? I don't think it was but I'm getting paranoid now what with the revolution and all Grin

But seriously, is I'd imagine the illuminati - in the real sense - are actually shitting it today and moving all their wealth into gold. a view shared by many Leave posters?

SeekEveryEveryKnownHidingPlace · 10/11/2016 16:34

IamWendy can you cite any examples of people being diagnosed with Duncism?

The Dunce's cap was given to children deemed the bottom of the class - in those wonderful politically incorrect times you're all so fond of - being a dunce wasn't a disability!

time4chocolate · 10/11/2016 16:43

Wow, what's going on with everyone today Confused.

Whilst I would normally say it's a bit early, sod it, I'll see you at the bar surfer Wine Wine

Bored - that was a feisty old shift you had, if your knocking off feel free to join me at the bar.
