I know Corcs. I really don't know if the general mood will ever be restored whether we leave or not.

Does anyone else think the prince of darkness is up to his usual tricks with the recent leaked (false) reports?

OP posts:
surferjet · 15/11/2016 19:37

So now we know. Now we know that feminists don't actually like women and think many of them are stupid and selfish. Now we know the commentariat doesn't care for the working class and instead views them as the brutish disturber of decent politics. Now we know democracy is not a highly prized idea among Western liberals, however much they might have gushed over that film about the Suffragettes, as some of them now wonder out loud if we should have an IQ test for voting or leave really big decisions to experts. Now we know that, for all the focus groups and polls and meet-a-pleb initiatives the clapped-out political class has pursued in recent years, it doesn't actually give a hoot what ordinary people think, and would rather not hear it. Ever

I'm anti-Trump, but I'm loving the clarity his victory has brought to political life. Everyone's pretensions evaporated overnight. Ugliness exposed, elitism unveiled. Brilliant. More of this, please

Saw this on FB. I'd say she's summed it up pretty well.

SeekEveryEveryKnownHidingPlace · 15/11/2016 19:47

But isn't saying SOUNDBITE every time anyone refers to plans, lies, and all the rest a bit evasive and convenient?

RedToothBrush · 15/11/2016 19:57

You repeatedly try to shut down any discussions Leavers want to have you have your own thread full of worshipful acolytes can you not just hide this one?

If you don't like it, just ignore me. Problem solved.

I would LIKE to talk to people here. Genuinely. I am please to see others having the courage to come and talk on the other thread. There are things here, I do find reassuring, if I don't agree on the majority of stuff. There is common ground to be found somewhere in the midst of all this.

Leavers are more comfortable to post here that on the other thread, I get that. I do think its important we are least try to talk to each other a bit.

Corcory, I am interested in what you have to say if you do decide to have a change of heart. But I don't want to force the issue either.

MangoMoon · 15/11/2016 20:48

Southall - stop showing off with your moon gazing success!!

Tryingtosaveup · 15/11/2016 20:52

Came in here for a quiet drink and to discuss important issues..like the amazing moon last night.
Where are the darts? I want another aim at Blair.

Boredofbrexit · 15/11/2016 20:52

I saw the rain dirty valleys, she saw the whole of the moon.

Och takes me back years to a tent and the water boys performing at a highland show.

Trying...I am awarding you the f'ing George Cross or whatever it is for bravery and valour. You made it out the den of vipers😂

Got my keyboard warrior on for a bit on the FB this morning - ran out of steam and interest quite quickly though and buggered off in the end.

The repetitive, poorly composed ramblings of FB Remain!-ers was too much even for me to bear.

Funnily enough - even though they were very effective at calling me a Racist! Stupid! Idiot! and how I'd (single handedly?) Empowered The Racists! all the while demanding Answers! - not a single coherent point of news or interest was made by any one of the 40+ posters.

How odd!
Wink

MangoMoon · 15/11/2016 21:00

And YY to your post Surfer!

MangoMoon · 15/11/2016 21:01

Is there a viper's den on the go somewhere?

May have a wander and a nosey if there is!

Boredofbrexit · 15/11/2016 21:04

Yes it's called Leaves/FOM or something. Brimming with spittle.

OP posts:
TheUnworthy · 15/11/2016 21:15

Yes I am. I would vote leave now no question.

I was on the fence before re: sovereignty and an ever closer union.

I voted remain, when you get down to the bare bones of it, because of fear of change.

All I can say is after seeing the reactions of some I now believe a huge change was needed.

That and also having to face the hypocracy of an Eastern European man incandescent at the racism and bigotry of leave voters, virtue signalling to the heavens, then calling me a fucking n**r when he's had a few too many.

Boredofbrexit · 15/11/2016 21:18

But there are MANY who don't think so Grin
Shit that you've had abuse in your rl Unworthy WineFlowers
At least on here it's only words on a screen.

I will have a look on the other thread in a wee while I think - I'm too fatigued to get a froth on tonight though.

Boredofbrexit · 15/11/2016 21:39

I am thinking of writing to TM and suggesting f* all these shenanigans, let's just stop sending the big red bus stuffed full of dollar over to Brussels every month. Let's just run up an overdrawn fees account and leave by default. Wonder how long it would take anyone to notice?Grin

time4chocolate · 15/11/2016 21:40

Ventured onto FOM thread and yes it's gone all viperish.

Funnily enough I have just gone into the "google to invest 1billion in U.K...." and even that's negative newsConfused - I despair.

If anyone's interested I still can't see the chuffing moon Angry - Southall - Glad you got a good moon sighting Envy

Unworthy Wine.

Boredofbrexit · 15/11/2016 21:50

I read on another thread that Cameron is raking it in as a guest speaker. Wtf would want to listen to him, let alone pay to listen to him do you think? Unless it's mates, setting the costs against their tax bill. Next we'll find out he has charitable status.
