The Americans talk about ' Hispanics' a lot. That's people of 'Spanish-American' descent isn't it? It's not people of Spanish descent? It's actually 'indigenous Americans with maybe some distant Spanish blood and they speak Spanish'? Is that right?

Hispanic and Latino people are those descended from the old Spanish Empire - so people from Central and South America and some of the Caribbean, including Mexico, Cuba, Puerto Rico etc.

I've just been reading that government officials are confident of a win with regards to the A50 court case. I don't see why some MPs are already stating their intention defy the results of the referendum if they aren't confident of getting a vote??

The only way round this refusal to take things on board is to resign certain politicians to go and live in such areas for a few years. Then they may get it.
