With all the newspapers and economic reports screaming there is no/ only positive impact of brexit so far, do you think the Remainers were all wrong and needlessly projecting doomsday scenarios ?

What's pathetic is ignoring the fact that it's you who are in bed with the bankers and the global corporates, who basically want to shaft ordinary people, and you can't even see it. You think you're on some great mission of social justice? How wrong you are. There is a class of people commonly known as 'useful idiots'. I'm sure you know what that means. If not, google it. It may be enlightening.

WinchesterWoman · 02/10/2016 19:00

Most people in the EU have about the same access to healthcare as we do with the NHS.

Uh huh.

smallfox2002 · 02/10/2016 19:00

But will they want to come Larry? If you make the process more difficult and incur expense while doing it it will deter people.

Also the point that the ignorant poster above was trying to make was that the NHS was suffering because of immigration. It isn't.

One you have the healthy migrant effect, two you have the fact that stopping immigration would have a detrimental effect on funding, whilst not having a corresponding fall in demand.

The NHS is not under pressure because of immigration. It is under pressure because of austerity.

larrygrylls · 02/10/2016 19:00

I am not an expert on why eu workers come to work in the nhs. However, the reason they are here will not change with Brexit, and nor will their right to remain.

WinchesterWoman · 02/10/2016 19:01

But come to think of it you're perhaps a bit of a fascist yourself, despite your twinset-and-pearls posting style, no?

my goodness

we are getting desperate

WinchesterWoman · 02/10/2016 19:03

I'm truly astonished by the idea that EU immigration has no impact on the NHS. Do you ever listen to people outside your own bubble?

the reason they are here will not change with Brexit, and nor will their right to remain.

Unless you have some more information, you don't know this. People are already leaving because of Brexit, or not taking up posts, and this is before anything tangible has happened.

smallfox2002 · 02/10/2016 19:15

Larry, if we make the process of getting a job more arduous here, as it will undoubtedly be, it will be harder to attract workers who have freedom of movement to other countries. Especially those who have skills that are in demand.

Bearbehind · 02/10/2016 19:19

winchester I would really like to hear how you think the 'useful idiots' you refered to will benefit from leaving the EU.

It is pitiful to think it's a simple as 'I disagree with the bankers and they want to remain so I'll vote Leave'

It's looking like the people of Sunderland are suddenly realising what their vote might actually mean.

What will the 'useful idiots' gain?

WinchesterWoman · 02/10/2016 19:23

No I'm afraid it's a different set of people I think are useful idiots. The people who think their continuing remain campaign is a mission of social justice.

Bearbehind · 02/10/2016 19:23

Ok, whatever.

What will the Larry drivers in Doncaster gain?

Bearbehind · 02/10/2016 19:24

Lorry not Larry

WinchesterWoman · 02/10/2016 19:25

The Guardian

smallfox2002 · 02/10/2016 19:26

Didn't you vote for democracy WinchesterWoman? We are allowed to continue the debate.

WinchesterWoman · 02/10/2016 19:28

[http://moneyweek.com/bernard-connolly-george-soros-is-wrong-about-brexit-and-the-pound/ Why George Soros is wrong]]

Yes of course you're allowed to continue the debate. Continuing the campaign to overturn a democratic vote is, however rather a glib interpretation of the word 'democracy'.

WinchesterWoman · 02/10/2016 19:29

Why George Soros is wrong

larrygrylls · 02/10/2016 19:29

Smallfox,

It just is not true unless the reason to work in the uk is v marginal. Again I am not an expert but when I managed a banking department I employed quite a few non eu citizens. It only takes a half way decent hr department to make the process virtually painless.

WinchesterWoman · 02/10/2016 19:31

Someone called me a fascist. I wish I could remember who it was.

Bearbehind · 02/10/2016 19:32

If you voted Leave on the basis on that Guardian article winchester there's clearly no point in continuing to engage with you.

I hope your choice bites you on the arse.

ItsAllGoingToBeFine · 02/10/2016 19:33

Yes of course you're allowed to continue the debate. Continuing the campaign to overturn a democratic vote is, however rather a glib interpretation of the word 'democracy'.

That's a slightly odd thing to say, or don't you think we should have general elections every 5 years?

smallfox2002 · 02/10/2016 19:37

It also depends on whether you believe that such a small majority gives a democratic mandate to the path being perused. It is ironic too that the royal prerogative is being used to force through this, and it isn't being allowed to be debated and voted on in our sovereign parliament.

See I don't believe that the foot stamping about democracy and the "will of the people" is accurate. Its an attempt to close down the argument, and its not working,.

I

WinchesterWoman · 02/10/2016 19:40

Why, Bear? Obviously it wasn't - I posted that in response to the question about lorry drivers in Doncaster - but why? I don't like to brush people aside like chaff but maybe you do.

I think maybe the 'fascist' label came from one of the people who want to overturn a democratic vote. Some people might call that ironic.

Cxc78 · 02/10/2016 19:40

I don't know if you are a fascist ww but you are certainly a bit simple Grin
Let me guess, big pharma is killing us as well?

WinchesterWoman · 02/10/2016 19:42

Also rude, wrong - and possibly a stalker! That's quite an impressive tally. Smile
