THE BREXIT FALLOUT CONTINUES - THREAD NINE

The Tories have settled their scores and May is now PM.
Is it May's Day or May Day for the people?

After careful consideration I thought the best way to sum up the Labour Contest was in one simple picture. May Day, might also be appropriate here too.

----------------

Things are moving fast, so hold on tight for the Brexit Ride

Sense of humour compulsory. No experience necessary though

Davies is an interesting appointment to me.

He apparently has had a plan for Brexit for some time. He has spent years working it out. Its not a 'hard' option compared with others. Its a statement of intent for Brexit.

But there is also a flip to this. If he can't deliver than no one can. And if he can't Brexit ain't happening. And Brexit will be the clear failing of Brexiteers.

It might not be what remainers what to hear in one sense, but one way or another it will silence the party once and for all. It either wins and we get a Brexit that works (in theory at least) or it fails and the right of the party are proven wrong.

She's put the rising star in her old role. To carry on her work.

She'll put reformers and moderates in the other roles. I wonder if she'll put someone into health who has a really pro-NHS stance for example. She is into academies herself so I don't think many MNetters are going to be happy with that. I think Gove might stay put - he's found his calling looking after unhinged knife wielding psychos. Plus the prison service like him.

hope not, Viking the lovely derxa has been quite eloquent on how much farmers need someone who has a fucking clue, not someone who will promise unicorns.

I really hope that this is all carefully thought out Red because on the surface it looks it, so I am hoping it stands up.

Who's going to stop her, anyway?

I'm hoping that she's given enough good job to Brexit heavyweights that she can safely ignore Loathsome and let her slide back into the political obscurity she so deserves, but I'll take some junior minister in Climate Change if it's deemed necessary.

More from Owen Smith here

Smith said he supported Corbyn on a number of issues including anti-austerity but said there had not been any policies to back up the slogan.
“Very often in shadow cabinet when there were difficult discussions about the European Union or economic policy or our attitude to Trident, Jeremy didn’t lead any of those discussions so there was a massive vacuum at the top of our party,” he said.

Who’ll go first out of the Brexit triumvirate? Davis via a principled resignation, Fox in disgrace or Boris with his cock in a trifle?

Generally still stand by my Article 50 predication (ever more unlikely; not never) but Davis appointment is a serious one. So, a wobble.
