According to the FT on Twitter 😳

3 small minded, smug UKIP politicians (with nothing to offer) on Newsnight last night also made my blood boil.

As well as two Tories who think it is a foregone conclusion that we will now be out of the single market as well because the people have spoken out against the free movement of people - no they bloody well haven't (as Evan Davies pointed out).

It's perfectly clear that NF's new role is shit stirrer at the European Parliament. He said so. He clearly doesn't find his role there too demanding. I will put money on him living in another country within 5years now that he's fucked this one. Most likely Germany? His wife must want a break.

I will give him that he has worked 24/7 for his single goal for years. A role model for those who want to achieve - have no truck with compromise or reality, pick your goal and keep driving towards it whatever happens.

Showmethewaytogohome · 05/07/2016 08:33

Oh when I saw NF I thought you meant the National Front! Not far off tho

SapphireStrange · 05/07/2016 11:15

Isn't is great we've got women going for the top job in both parties

Theresa May is seriously talking about repatriating other EU citizens.

So no, not great, not just because she's got a pair of tits and a skirt suit.

Alisvolatpropiis · 05/07/2016 12:36

Quite, Sapphire.

bojorojo · 05/07/2016 13:59

No, Theresa May is NOT saying she is repatriating EU citizens. Please get your facts straight. She is saying that the position of EU citizens here is the same as the position of UK citizens in Spain or other EU countries. It is up for negotiation with the EU. Vote leave will alter their legal right to be here and it will also alter the position of UK national in the EU. It is an obvious outcome of vote leave. Sadly, it is what people voted for. Her position is to prevent other EU countries making life difficult for our nationals living abroad, eg no health care on the EHIC cards, imposition of visas etc. I am not a Conservative but I do think we need to understand how negotiation will happen and what has to be included. We voted that we no longer want free movement of EU nationals. I hate the idea, but this has to be negotiated or there will be riots! It will not be pleasant.

bojorojo · 05/07/2016 14:00

NF's role at the EU is not demanding - he rarely attends! Takes the money for nothing! He who shouts loudest etc......

rosierrosierrosier · 05/07/2016 14:27

It is up for negotiation with the EU.

I honestly thing this is f*ing disgusting. People have lived in this country for decades paid taxes, contributed to society in all sorts of amazing ways whilst turning their backs on their home countries. Absolutely disgraceful to use human beings who settled here perfectly legally as bargaining chips. Angry

Whats disgraceful if that we even got here. Give people what they vote for - Which was never ever what we have now. If the EU never existed, and it was proposed as what it currently is, we'd all vote no. I'd vote yes by the way, but 90% of the population would vote no, based on freedom of movement, ability to use NHS, ability to claim, ability to be housed etc.
Very uncertain times for people who have lived and worked here for years, but vindication for those who feel conned. We can't forget them or dismiss them. Look what happened when we did....

Threepineapples · 05/07/2016 18:14

I had the misfortune to hear a few seconds of his interview on LBC this morning where he basically said the attacks on Polish people following Brexit were nothing compared to the attacks on the Leave campaign political figures, like the "baying mob" who hounded Johnson.

Odious tosser who needs to fottfsof and then some more.

crossroads3 · 05/07/2016 18:27

where he basically said the attacks on Polish people following Brexit were nothing compared to the attacks on the Leave campaign political figures, like the "baying mob" who hounded Johnson.

Angry Farage would say that the world is flat and have us believe it. Johnson follows a close second. They can both go to hell in a handbasket as far as I am concerned - along with quite a few others.

Showmethewaytogohome · 05/07/2016 19:29

cross I agree whole heartedly. My concern now is that we are hearing leavers like NF claim that all the current issues are just spin. That so called 'remainers' are talking up all the awful racist and political and financial issues to prevent Brexit

Will they ever stop?

annandale · 05/07/2016 20:49

Oh Christ I've just seen the future and it is NF as the host of a US style shock jock radio show on a station funded by 'Arron' Banks. Syndicated to nationalists in every rain-soaked backwater of the world.

JudyCoolibar · 05/07/2016 23:30

There seems to be a really rather credible theory that he didn't resign, he was kicked out - heatst.com/uk/coup-kip-nigel-farage-didnt-resign-from-ukip-he-was-sacked/

mathanxiety · 06/07/2016 06:21

That all makes a lot of sense, JudyCoolibar.

niceguy2 · 06/07/2016 13:44

like the "baying mob" who hounded Johnson.

Not sure which "baying mob" was being referred to. The only one I saw was a pack of journalists and a single guy who was berating him.

So the "baying mob" I saw was the press more than the Remain camp.

sorenofthejnaii · 06/07/2016 19:26

He's standing in for Katie Hopkins on LBC this weekend. Will we see the difference?

JudyCoolibar · 07/07/2016 00:40

Good grief, LBC is getting to be the radio version of the Mail. Why on earth do they feel the need to fill air time with the babbling of utter fools like Hopkins and Farage? The idiot Ferrari is bad enough
