Brexit

Europe's Leading Statesman Gives 'Em Hell

Farage addresses the European Parliament after historic Brexit vote.

He says "most of you have never had a real job in your lives" and they all nod in agreement. Farage says "the little people defied the multinationals" and the multinationals sadly agree.

As Farage speaks to the world, puppets panic, stooges are stunned, elitists take a lie down, globalists are gobsmacked and the people party.

At the end of Farage's speech, the Establishment broadcast their pre-recorded booing tape in order to drown out the roar of defiance of the British people.

After Farage, Marine Le Pen speaks and says that the Brexit vote is the biggest event in Europe since the fall of the Berlin Wall.

Antagonising our Eurpoean partners before negotiations is madness. He better be nowhere near the negotiating table. He is a liability and will ruin us. I cannot believe that there are fools cheering him on in this.

Showmethewaytogohome · 28/06/2016 17:39

time forgot the Smile

time4chocolate · 28/06/2016 17:40

claig - cross post there.

GoodLoveShinesBrightly · 28/06/2016 17:41

Thought provoking? In the sense that it is unbelieveable that people actually believe this contradictory, nonsensical bollocks? None of it stands up to scrutiny, any scrutiny is met with "sovereignty" or "elites" wooliness.

Showmethewaytogohome · 28/06/2016 17:42

Claig

Trump REALLY is a racist y'know . Can I ask are there any non-white members of the anti-establishment? (Now don't you try and go and use Pol Pot cheeky......)

GoodLoveShinesBrightly · 28/06/2016 17:42

And Farage a leading statesman, do me a FAVOUR. That was sarcastic, right? Or is it statesmanlike to insult the other MEPs. Dear God almighty.

glassgarden · 28/06/2016 17:44

Claig is a real person and does a great job of holding her temper in the face of much goading bickering and puerile sarcasm

I'm in her camp and her posts make good sense to me :o [thumbsup]

claig · 28/06/2016 17:46

time4chocolate, you know how people have attacked you for voting Leave. This is part of our bullying environment where Leavers are called "stupid", "thick", "old", "racist" etc, just like Cameron called UKIP supporters bigots, fruitcakes and closet racists. This is how our democracy declines and the people are disrespected for voting the way they do.

The reason I bother challenging these stereotypes is because I care about our democracy and our right to disagree agreeably without calling each other names that shut down democratic debate.

Otherwise we will end up with a 1984 Big Brother groupthink as being the only allowed politically correct thought.

The Brexit victory was the biggest victory for free thought in 100 years, we challenged the Esatblishment consensus and won, we won our sovereignty back.

I'm actually wondering if Claig is a "writer" for the Daily Mail. They have the same style of over embellished titles only to be completely the opposite of what's going on. :D I realise the writing style pissed me off because it reminds me so much of the DM! Is there anyway to hide a whole poster and any of their threads they start in the future? I don't want to read any more posts from this idiot.

claig · 28/06/2016 17:47

Thanks, glassgarden Smile

'I don't want to read any more posts from this idiot.'

Just get off my thread, that's the easiest way. I only post on a few threads, so you can easily avoid the ones I am on. No, I don't write for the Daily Mail, but I do read it.

OP posts:
GoodLoveShinesBrightly · 28/06/2016 17:49

I'm pleased for you then, I hope Brexit will turn out to be as successful as you hope, at the moment the reasons for leaving the EU that claig and others have given sound like nothing more than total woolly conspiracy theory nonsense to me though personally.
Fingers crossed it's not the unmitigated disaster it has been predicted to be by just about everyone and seems to be shaping up to be.

Alisvolatpropiis · 28/06/2016 17:51

I do so enjoy your threads claig. Whilst I don't think you're a troll, I do think there is more than a little bit of deliberate goading in your writing style.

But hey, if that is how you get your kicks, carry on.

GoodLoveShinesBrightly · 28/06/2016 17:51

You see, there you go again "get our sovereignty back". You do know that the UK is a sovereign nation within Europe, don't you?

claig · 28/06/2016 17:51

'Can I ask are there any non-white members of the anti-establishment? '

Dr Ben Carson is black and is a potential VP pick for Trump and was a Presidential candidate, just like Herman Cain was and many more.

You are clearly obsessed with race and dividing people on those lines, but anti-establishment is all of the people.

BungoWomble · 28/06/2016 17:52

At least with leaving the EU, there is now no reason for UKIP to exist, is there? So we can get rid of Farage now and stop having his blight on Britain's (sort of) good name?

Whisky2014 · 28/06/2016 17:52

No, I don't write for the Daily Mail, but I do read it.
That's worse!
No, I just want to know how I can hide you, all your comments and any future posts on any other topic before I ever have to lay eyes on your name again

Showmethewaytogohome · 28/06/2016 17:53

Glass that is sweet

However, holding up a racist. Sorry a number of racist bigots as great statespersons is in itself goading - especially to all those people who believe that no matter the colour of someones skin is, their ethic origin or their religion they have the same rights and privileges as anyone else

The 'people' that yourself and claig hold in so much esteem are to be frank revolting and if you wish to come on a public forum (which is your right) then I am sure you will understand it is only logical that people will want to challenge you on those views

sorenofthejnaii · 28/06/2016 17:54

claig

Ok, so you've got Brexit. What do you want a post Brexit Britain to look like?

Do you think the post Brexit Britain is going to be the one we eventually get?

claig · 28/06/2016 17:54

'I do think there is more than a little bit of deliberate goading in your writing style. '

You are probably right. It depends what you mean by goading. I do find it funny to challenge stereotypical arguments and do overdo the sarcastic humour which may seem like goading. I do find it funny to challenge stereotypes and it may come across badly. But I do it to generate debate and discussion as I think that makes it more interesting.

claig · 28/06/2016 17:56

GoodLoveShinesBrightly, you have quoted a Chatham House article. They are the Esatblishment. I tend to believe Farage more than them. But it is a democracy, and others believe Chatham House and Cameron more than Corbyn or Farage.

OP posts:
claig · 28/06/2016 17:58

'at the moment the reasons for leaving the EU that claig and others have given sound like nothing more than total woolly conspiracy theory nonsense to me though personally.'

That is fine, that is why we are in a democracy. We don't all agree, but we can agree to disagree agreeably without calling each other nuts or robots or racists etc

OP posts:
GoodLoveShinesBrightly · 28/06/2016 17:58

See, not responding to the rebuttal of the woolly sovereignty argument.
This is what Brexit has legitimised and unleashed. www.independent.co.uk/news/uk/crime/manchester-tram-racist-attack-abuse-video-footage-get-back-to-africa-teenage-boys-abuse-suspects-a7107466.html
I expect you'll say it's an isolated incident.

time4chocolate · 28/06/2016 17:59

thumbs up to you claig - I was thinking today that this is like being in some sort of George Orwell 1984 scenario.

claig · 28/06/2016 17:59

'Fingers crossed it's not the unmitigated disaster it has been predicted to be by just about everyone and seems to be shaping up to be.'

We don't know. But when we come back here in 2 years' time, I think we will all be doing well and we will all realise that they lied to us with Project Fear.
