To suggest Londoners stay in London

You voted differently to where I live - by a huge margin. In your newspapers that you write (in London) you have said over the years how much you contribute to our local economy through your second homes and buy to let investments. But you refuse to live here permanently. I don't have to ask you why - you already know.

The last fishing boat in my town only left 3 weeks ago - hopefully they can come back and when they do, we will be enjoying the 'catch of the day', not you, so you can go back to London and wax lyrical or make some money describing it.

I'm going to Cornwall for my hols. Liked the idea of supporting local economies.

Won't be going next year.

OP, one of the reasons that house prices are so extortionate in London and many Londoners can't afford to buy one home, let alone two, is because of wealthy foreigners buying them up and not living in them. So, if your OP had just been about that, most Londoners would be sympathetic.
But then you had to go down the stereotyping route. I honestly think that some people think that everyone who lives in London is a banker or a journalist/media type. We do have 'normal' people here you know eg nurses, retail assistants, teachers, cleaners, secretaries etc.
If there's one group of people you really can't stereotype, it's Londoners because London is a)huge and b) extremely diverse.
There are over 100 nationalities here. There are people who are staggeringly rich and those who are staggeringly poor.
Hope your hangover's not too bad.

The time that you sleep at OP is the time a lot of Londoners actually get home. What a luxury life you have there, eh? All fish and chips and local beef. Good luck with that. We will still survive. Think about yourself now.

Bees. We've got urban bees. And lovely Kensington gardens honey. And I grow my own tomatoes, herbs and garlic.

EmpressOfTheSevenOceans · 27/06/2016 22:29

I saw BEE SEX in Streatham at the weekend.

RustyPaperclip · 27/06/2016 22:32

EmpressOfTheSevenOceans · 27/06/2016 22:39

RustyPaperclip · 27/06/2016 23:38

RustyPaperclip · 27/06/2016 23:39

RustyPaperclip · 27/06/2016 23:47

To be honest, I've completely lost sight of the whole point of this thread (sorry OP, are you coming back?) I just like the banter Grin

RustyPaperclip · 27/06/2016 23:49

OddSocks please come back!

Theydontknowweknowtheyknow · 28/06/2016 00:00

Rusty I think the whole point of the thread was to demonstrate that many people's reasons (like the OP's) for voting Leave had very little to do with the EU itself and more to do with regional differences and resentments.

Which of course is a fantastic way to decide on an issue that will affect our economic future and that of our children.

Nice one OPHmm
