I don't want another attack on me I already feel battered and bruised from people on here -I was watching Muse 'Uprising'' at Glastonbury, they were bloody fantastic and the lyrics jumped out at me (maybe I am going mad I don't know) but they summed up what I feel about the EU and why I voted how I did. Worth a listen if anyones has a spare five minutes.

All the variations of "did you regret your vote" threads. 😠It's like they're saying "all you stupid naive little dears, here's a chace to redeem yourselves. Ugh!

TriniRedVelvet · 28/06/2016 17:01

chance

Trini you have no chance of redeeming yourself in their eyes....these threads are started so they can stick the boot in over and over and over again.

I agree wholeheartedly about the comments regarding the BBC.....they go to the most controversial places and seek out the most controversial 'leaver' they can find on the streets. Wouldn't surprise me if they turn up in the green room of the Jeremy Kyle show soon.

BBC - Biased Bigoted C......can't think what the c could stand for Smile

Greenish Grin

TriniRedVelvet · 28/06/2016 17:24

GreenishMe best to just ignore them all. I'm done with banging my head against a wall.

BBC coverage is awful and Sky news is no better. They find all the doomsayers and trawl away to find the ignorant minority as well to cast it all in a bad light.

time4chocolate · 28/06/2016 17:25

For Claig - you are very brave Wink and I couldn't help but pop in Grin. That one is definitely Brew and Cake

To be fair to the Beeb, I've had the news channel on all day while I work and I have been pleasantly surprised at the coverage. It isn't all the usual negativity and gloom and doom they usually roll out.

There was the Weston feature I mentioned and also a couple of businessmen/employers who are delighted we are out of the EU, showing the piles of paperwork and EU directives etc. they have to wade through, and both saying how much more competitive they can become etc. etc.

The reporting has been pretty well balanced if I'm honest. Even an interview with John Redwood (who I normally can't stand) was quite reassuring - they let him speak, a lot of what he said made good sense, he wasn't constantly being interrupted etc.

TriniRedVelvet · 28/06/2016 17:34

Fontanella I think I caught the end of that segment. Perhaps they'll air it again or I could check on website.

Claig I popped in to the thread you're on. You're a brave soul. 💐

queensansastark · 28/06/2016 17:52

Just saw Alistair Campbell speaking on CNN....I just thought...shut the f* up with your blame, doom and gloom, we are a banana republic and shouldn't have happened blah blah.

queensansastark · 28/06/2016 17:54

and that the Leave vote has unleashed racism ...accounts racism..

Racism was within nasty people already..

queensansastark · 28/06/2016 17:55

Racist and hate in general is disgusting....but can we not blow this out of proportion please.

DoctorTwo · 28/06/2016 18:01

I voted to Remain. I do, however, believe in democracy, and as such I have to support the decision reached by the majority. I might not like it but I accept it. We lost, and we should just suck it up.

My Polish friends have just shrugged their shoulders and said "it is what it is, there's nothing we can do". So I've adopted that as my attitude too. Congratulations: you won. Now let's look forward together.

Fontella · 28/06/2016 18:02

Great post DoctorTwo

Great post DoctorTwo

Agree

Mooingcow · 28/06/2016 18:07

I think the BBC programme on the legal ramifications this afternoon was fair.

Women's Hour was OK and Andrea Leadsom magnificent in the face of hysteria, doom-laden pronouncements and general determination to stop her finishing a sentence.

Otherwise, the mainstream media seem determined to find stereotypes to give a vox pop to fit their insultingly blatant facebook-led agenda.

GreenishMe · 28/06/2016 19:18

There's another pathetic petition now in the form of a pleading letter to EU leaders.

So draining Sad

TriniRedVelvet · 28/06/2016 19:25

Smacks of desperation..... you'd think the EU is fronted by the pearly gates.

GiddyGiddyGoat · 28/06/2016 19:37

Still feeling sorry for yourselves then?? Jeez. Stick your little heads out of the bunker and engage with the REALITY of what is going on. Talking amongst yourselves in a toxic mixture of smug self-congratulation and blinkered self-pity isn't doing you any favours. HTH.

TriniRedVelvet · 28/06/2016 19:50

I thought I heard something. A faint moaning and rending of clothes. A ghostly click clack of phantom keyboards. Nope?? Back to my dinner then. Smile

Fontella · 28/06/2016 20:05

Ooh look Goady Goat's arrived to entertain us!

How lucky are we?

And sneering at your fellow human beings whilst thinking you are superior amd repeating "What is your plan???" over and over is so boring and tedious. HTH
