Seriously? majority of people who voted for leave wanted control of our borders, we brought into your story of an Australian style point system now it seems there's still going be freedom of labour movement which is basically the same thing expect they get less legal rights.

I didn't just vote leave for immigration but yes it was a big reason and if I known this, if remain had a better hammered this home I bet MANY leave voters would not have voted the way they did. If anything if this happens, many leave voters will join the remain voters in rage at the lies we been fed. (NHS, Immigration)

I have been a vocal leave supporter on here but now I am feeling pretty scared about what I have voted for. I blame the remain campaign for having an totally shit and ineffective campaign and Cameron should never have been the leader of the remain camp, as majority of people despise him and don't take any notice of what he says.

Daniel Hannan has always been very clear.

If you haven't listened then that's your fault.

JasperDamerel · 25/06/2016 17:32

The OP was taking the piss, right?

AdultingIsNotWhatIExpected · 25/06/2016 17:32

I can only forgive the Bregeters if they form an action group to personally sue the Leave Campaign for misinformation, & campaign to get MPs like Gove & Boris etc. unelected. Otherwise your Regret is not real.

this x100

if you claim to regret it, get your placard out, paint "I voted out based on lies, Give me a chance to retract it" and get to london (and sign the petition for another referendum)

Or else you don't fucking mean it so STFU

SapphireStrange · 25/06/2016 17:33

Thanks, KiwiMummy. I have to say, I do begrudgingly admire the Mail's ability to turn on a sixpence.

muminthecity · 25/06/2016 17:34

Jesus Christ. And you wonder why leave voters are being called thick Hmm

iwouldgoouttonight · 25/06/2016 17:35

I've not got involved in any of the threads on here about the referendum, but OP if you're serious, what the fuck is wrong with you?!

I'm not degree educated and don't read newspapers that often but even I knew that I needed to find out a bit about what I was voting on. It said all over the place that voting either way will have little or no effect on immigration.

And it was blindingly obvious that the £350m figure to be apparently spent on the NHS was nonsense. They admitted weeks ago that the figure was misleading and it said could be spent on the NHS, not will. Yet I keep reading about people being surprised that the NHS won't suddenly get £350m a week. I despair, I really do.

ChipStix · 25/06/2016 17:35

But we get a new hospital every week!

To be furious if this is true-the freedom of movement
TheCunkOfPhilomena · 25/06/2016 17:36

This should cheer you up OP. Maybe next time you'll think about what you're doing when you're asked to vote for our future, if we ever get a next time.

This would hilarious if it wasn't so tragic.

I could beat Cameron with a stick and not stop for putting the country through this. Everyone knows that a vast section of the UK population are impervious to all logic and reason with regards to the EU.

Maybe this needed to happen to teach people about the importance of facts as opposed to knee-jerk bigotry.

WeirdAndPissedOff · 25/06/2016 17:37

Rebecca - the remain camp DID say about the freedom of movement, and about the money not going back into the NHS, and about the possibility of recession.
Only before the referendum it was "lies" and "scaremongering".
Now it's a reality.

SDTGisAnEvilWolefGenius · 25/06/2016 17:37

Rebecca - plenty of people tried to warn you and those like you about the risks and drawbacks of leaving the EU, and were howled down for using scare tactics and Project Fear.

It is no-one's fault but your own if you bought into the Leave campaign's lies and chose to ignore all the warnings.

raisedbyguineapigs · 25/06/2016 17:38

Oh honestly. What did people think would happen?bIt was said over and over again that the price for trade agreements was going to be free movement. Did you really think that the EU were just going to roll over and let us trade with them? They are going to play hardball to stop others leaving. We need the EU as they buy 40% of our goods.
And good luck Cornwall, Wales and all the other areas now begging for the equivalent money from the Tory government that you were getting from the EU. It will all go into propping up the financial sector and giving them incentives to stay in London, and in increased welfare payments for the new unemployed.

SapphireStrange · 25/06/2016 17:39

I know. Shower of cunts. (sorry for the language but I feel so strongly about all this)

SeekEveryEveryKnownHidingPlace · 25/06/2016 17:40

Agreed. It's hard not to conflate a leave vote with unforgiveable stupidity when you see stories like that one.

nightandthelight · 25/06/2016 17:41

I live in Wales sapphire and I could cry. This will destroy us.

Valentine2 · 25/06/2016 17:41

Ha ha ha ha ha

Brandonstarkflakes · 25/06/2016 17:41

And he remain campaign is the only readily available source of information on the structure and workings of the EU is it? Jesus!

No of course not Hmm But the Remain Campaigns job was to ya know, try and persuade people to stay in the EU and I was just pointing out they made a crappy job of it and didnt do anything to sway the people who swung it in the end.

SapphireStrange · 25/06/2016 17:42

Sorry night, I realise there are also Remainers in Wales and didn't intend to tar everyone with the same brush... Blush

megletthesecond · 25/06/2016 17:42

chip Morris must be overwhelmed with potential material right now.

YellowPrimula · 25/06/2016 17:42

FGS this was pointed out on numerous occasions by the experts on EU law plus by the Remain side during the campaign. they keep saying this again and again , the fact that people chose not to listen is one of the mysteries of this whole sorry business. If we want to sell our goods and more import take our services into Europe we will need to accept freedom of movement that will be the condition.

Carriemac · 25/06/2016 17:43

Sometimes democracy is overrated.

Absolutely

Panicmode1 · 25/06/2016 17:43

This post just makes me want to cry. Again.

The British public should NEVER have been allowed to vote on such a massively important issue. It's too complex and it's now too late.

Broken Britain indeed.

whois · 25/06/2016 17:43

Threads like this do nothing to challenge my perception that people who voted leave, were on average, fucking stupid and unable to do any research or critical thinking for themselves.
