Seriously? majority of people who voted for leave wanted control of our borders, we brought into your story of an Australian style point system now it seems there's still going be freedom of labour movement which is basically the same thing expect they get less legal rights.

I didn't just vote leave for immigration but yes it was a big reason and if I known this, if remain had a better hammered this home I bet MANY leave voters would not have voted the way they did. If anything if this happens, many leave voters will join the remain voters in rage at the lies we been fed. (NHS, Immigration)

I have been a vocal leave supporter on here but now I am feeling pretty scared about what I have voted for. I blame the remain campaign for having an totally shit and ineffective campaign and Cameron should never have been the leader of the remain camp, as majority of people despise him and don't take any notice of what he says.

I didn't sow anything, but my God, my children will be paying for this disaster. We appear to have a majority who have been wooed by Gove, Johnson and Farage! Heaven help us. A few memorable one liners about taking Britain back has persuaded the masses that we could actually do everything on our own. Whilst I am here, how many deserving causes now want a slice of the EU budget we currently pay? Farmers, Nhs, Housing, Schools, Fisheries, welfare benefits, pensions......... A never ending list. None of this will be possible if we go into recession. Never mind we all got to vote and Cameron got kicking so everything is alright in the world now!

Ginslinger · 25/06/2016 17:44

Crikey OP are you real?

theDudesmummy · 25/06/2016 17:44

You seriously feel aggrieved because you failed to inform yourself prior to the vote?

nightandthelight · 25/06/2016 17:44

Not insulted sapphire, just agreeing that we are fucked! The potential investors in Tata Steel have indicated that they are likely to pull out. Inevitable but sad :(

Theydontknowweknowtheyknow · 25/06/2016 17:46

The only thread of hope in this shambolic result is that there will be freedom of movement for people.

That was one of the bonuses of the EU and I hope it continues. Not just for people coming here but for those of us who want to leave the country of divided people and right wing politics that it will now become.

Theydontknowweknowtheyknow · 25/06/2016 17:47

If you want to do some good then raise a petition for bregretters to complain about the lies you were sold.

BMW6 · 25/06/2016 17:48

I voted Leave and always understood that if we want to stay in the Common Market then the trade off would be to accept free movement - those I discussed the referendum issue also knew this.

Just because the OP didn't I really would not bank on that being common among Brexiters.

Sure, levels of immigration was AN issue - but not the main one nor the only one for a lot of people.

NoCakeLeft · 25/06/2016 17:48

I don't believe that someone can be so stupid and blind. This thread must be piss take. Hmm

RebelRogue · 25/06/2016 17:49

I really hope you are taking the piss. If not, well, suck it up buttercup...just like everyone else will have to due to you and other dickbutts like you

MitzyLeFrouf · 25/06/2016 17:50

I blame the remain campaign

OP I would laugh if I wasn't busy gnashing my teeth and rolling my eyes. You and only you are responsible for your vote. Yes the Remain campaign was poor but the information was out there. The fact you fell for Leave's lies and soundbites is no one's fault but your own.

LumpySpacedPrincess · 25/06/2016 17:52

This is what makes me so cross, all the stupid, ill informed, jingoistic, nationalistic bollocks being spouted by leavers. Now, their creeping out of the woodwork with their regrets. How dare they.

Even the smallest amount of research would have told you this.

underrugsswept · 25/06/2016 17:52

You're either a troll or an idiot. I actually hope and suspect it's the first one.

Maybe if you'd taken responsibility for your own vote and done some research you'd wouldn't be suffering voter's remorse.

MitzyLeFrouf · 25/06/2016 17:52

Here's a nice soothing song for you OP

All The Lies That You Told Me

TheDowagerCuntess · 25/06/2016 17:54

This was an integral part of each and every list to remain, that I came across. It, along with everything else on those lists, was dismissed as scaremongering by Brexiteers.

A vote is a privilege - historically and presently - denied to many. With it comes responsibility that too many have no clue about.

MitzyLeFrouf · 25/06/2016 17:54

You dont get to switch sides either. There isnt a 14 day cooling off period'

A cooling off period would be wonderful. Oh if only!

happyandsingle · 25/06/2016 17:54

I voted leave for many reasons and don't regret it at all. A second referendum? Oh just fuck of and if it still isn't remain shall we just continue until it is ! That's the only democracy remain want to see there way or no bloody way!

SapphireStrange · 25/06/2016 17:55

night, thank you; that's kind. I too always thought Tata Steel was finished. I have to say that, rather than fighting to keep it, I'm inclined to think a more progressive way to handle it was by retraining the people who worked there.

But anyway, that's off topic.

Grin at 'dickbutts'

LacklusterGooseIsLoose · 25/06/2016 17:55

....

So Friday my company was in emergency meetings all day to try and come up with a strategy to preserve jobs whatever happens (and the outlook isn't good - logistics) and you're pissed off because you didn't research properly?!

Words fail me.

Sadly, I suspect you're not alone & interpreted "take back control of our borders" as "we will let less foreigners in".

Remain tried to tell you that trade deals made with the EU after Brexit would more than likely depend on the UK agreeing to freedom of movement.

I don't know whether to feel angry or sad that such a large proportion of the population believed that rivers would flow with milk and honey & unicorns would shit rainbows because "take back control "was said eleventy billion times.

Valentine2 · 25/06/2016 17:57

happyandsingle
Can you pls enlighten me? The reasons you voted For Leave? Just the top 3 WITH evidence?

Ineedmorelemonpledge · 25/06/2016 17:57

Maybe...just maybe....the remain campaign didn't mention it because it was pretty bloody obvious?

I think I went into nearly every Brexit thread here and told posters that I lived in a Schengen country with 25% (yes a quarter) of the population immigrant (including me Smile) and they have to accept this to continue to trade. They have to keep their borders open.

And they have no leverage to say no, because they aren't in the club.

So why would we be any different?

TheDowagerCuntess · 25/06/2016 17:58

And Brexiteers wonder why the losing side is quite so angry and bitter....

We - the 'United' Kingdom and the world - have to actually live with too many people's reckless decision.

Lynnm63 · 25/06/2016 17:59

Don't see a million leavers saying they regret it either. Just a few.

happyandsingle · 25/06/2016 18:00

And to all the remain voters with your constant abuse derogatory comments and dam right nastiness- you bunch of nasty fuckers.

MitzyLeFrouf · 25/06/2016 18:00

Great letter in the Times today about the 'United Kingdom'
