Has anyone used the Boots recycling scheme?

If so can I recycle tablet packets? The white plastic ones with foil on the back that the tablet is pushed through?

I can’t find them on the list but am sure they were on the poster that I saw in store.

I don’t visit a branch often so don’t want to start collecting them if they’re not part of the scheme.

BAD NEWS - you can no longer use the beauty recycling and blister pack recycling coupons in the same transaction ,rules changed yesterday according to the cashier that served me , so no more 600 points on a £10 spend , boooo 😩

That’s a bit mean. Thanks for the heads up.

Not sure-. But Boots must know! They accept them for recycling

The item is accepted in recycling app
take picture of toothbrush and then enter item type/make then product only

I had a feeling that might happen! Ah well it was good while it lasted and 500 points back on a £10 spend is still pretty good, IMHO

I just spent £35 in Boots and I only got my £5 beauty points. Did I mess up? Could I also have recycled 15 blister packs and got another £3 in points?

No you didn’t mess up , you only get £5 worth of points for a spend over £10 regardless of how much over the £10 you spend . I try and spend as close to that amount as possible and if spending £35 I would do it in 3 transactions on different days ( you can do 8 a month ) assuming you have enough items to recycle and you live close enough to visit boots often .
you also can’t use the blister packs recycling in same transaction now but you could have split the items assuming £35 wasn’t 1 single thing and got £1 back for blister recycling , so you would have had £6 in total.
You can only do 1 beauty and 1 blister pack recycling per day .

One item was £32ish so I couldn’t split the transactions up. (17 advent calendar for DD. She loved the one I got her last year)

i did maximise all my other points and got over £7 of points.

I’d say you did alright then 😊
