Brit School Sixth Form 2024

I just thought I'd start a thread for everyone whose kids have applied to the Brit school for sixth form entry in 2024. Hope you are all doing well.

Just wondering whether anyone has heard about the January auditions yet? DD is applying for the music strand and getting anxious.

Daughter got in, I filled in the acceptance paperwork, called them they said they had it but on the application page it still says offer pending… is that same for everyone?

Same here. Offer pending. I haven't called because I felt sure if they hadn't received our acceptance they'd have been in touch.

Just would like a ‘thanks you can stop worrying now’ email or an ‘offered accepted’ sign!

my daughter is on the reserve list for Theatre is anyone else been reserved or got a place. I know it’s impossible to tell but just want a little bit of hope that she gets a place 😊

Beyond excited here as DS2 has just had the email and has a place at the Theatre course - he auditioned on 19th Feb.

Didn't expect to be so excited 😍 @Roman4864 I expect places do come available - don't give up. Worth a call to see how long the list is? We have 14 days to say yes so I expect some places will free up after that

my daughter would have been ecstatic with an offer but will be happy that she is on reserve so fingers and toes crossed she gets a place. 😂. Enjoy your day and hope your son comes out of school floating on air 😄x

We got the email today for theatre, my daughter auditioned on the 19th. Best of luck for those on the reserve list.

I called today to check acceptance forms had been received. As I suspected they don't acknowledge receipt but will be sending info through soon.

would be much easier for an automated email rather than all of us calling them!

Hello everyone well done to those with places good luck to those on the reserve list. My daughter was successful in gaining a place on FMP.

Found out back in March daughter got a place, filled in paperwork and never heard anything again, apparently they are having a meeting this term, anyone heard anything from them?

Still nothing...

Haven’t head anything - reluctant to turn down second choice sixth form at this rate!

I’ll try to stop panicking…..

I don’t think the meetings will be till after June purely because they know all schools and themselves will be having various exams happening.

Hi do you think we will hear after their GCSEs about what happens next? I looked at the Brit calendar to see when they have inductions there are two dates does anyone know ?

Or if I made a mistake on the acceptance forms!

Hello 👋 I did call admissions a while back … never very forthcoming with information, I did manage to find out that there will be an induction day during the first week of July and we will hear about it nearer the time. 😊
