Hello everyone,

I just thought I'd start a thread for everyone whose kids have applied to the Brit school for sixth form entry in 2024. Hope you are all doing well.

Just wondering whether anyone has heard about the January auditions yet? DD is applying for the music strand and getting anxious.

Today has been tough lol! I was holding out so much hope that we would hear something. I'm just going to put it out of my mind for the next few weeks and hopefully we'll get a wonderful surprise once the email finally goes out! Have a great weekend everyone!

I am so sorry for spreading false hope ... looks like I was fobbed off! I am with DrRhapsody will have got to try to push to the back of my mind. Love to you all x

I just feel like we’re never going to get a decision now and maybe it was all a dream 🤣🤣. Don’t worry, another week won’t make any difference on the long run 🤷🏻‍♀️. Have a great weekend x

My daughter auditioned for Dance pathway last week. Out of catchment. Do you think this will take as long as the MT pathway responses?

We've just heard. DD got in out of catchment. Can't quite believe it!!

Congratulations, my Son is also in and also a drummer. I still can’t stand up 🤣🤣🤣

We literally just heard , he didn’t get in , so sill be accepting London college of performing arts x

Yeah I got an email , I presume he did too but he’s actually at an audition at arts Ed right now 🙈🙈lol . I’m just glad we’ve already received an offer that he’s happy with x

@Jaynebec that’s the main thing. My daughter only applied to the Brits. She’s petrified now!

My daughter heard back from the Music stream, and didn’t get in. She’s so upset.
We both received the email at the same time. Around 1pm.

No, we only live 30mins away. Such a shame, I wonder how many are actually auditioned. I know there are only about 22 spaces for those that aren’t already there for GCSEs. She been going to Britkids for the past 2 years, which she has loved.

Have just found this thread! we are waiting to here for daughter who applied for MT pathway. A friend she made on the audition day has heard she has been put on the reserve list but we are yet to hear… even more nerve wracking now ! We are out of catchment also 🙈

I’m surprised they haven’t sent out all responses for the same course in one go.

good luck to everyone still waiting to hear! Well done to those who have been accepted and to those who did not get the answer they were hoping for, I hope they find a course that allows them to continue following their passions!
