Just thought I would start a thread for anyone who has applied for a place at BRIT school

Her name is constance and she posted ‘How I got in the brit school’ three years ago.

So some offers yesterday for KS5 dance hope it was good news on here!
Regarding waiting list I think if you appeal you have to have to give good reason as to why you think you weren't given a fair chance at first audition?
You have to audition again I think.. start from scratch.
But if you wait you may just get a place anyway..
There will be definitely be kids who don't take places ..I know of two ks5 who are seriously considering other colleges...

Everyone is given a fair chance. Not everyone is having a great day. If DC gave their best performance I agree waiting is best.

So the longer you wait the better. Ones turned down for a place pretty much near before any offers.

I know some ks4 girls who haven't got in have been told.

It was different for us as it was all done during covid!

I hear that dance ks5 get offers tomorrow, let's hope so as I am stressed waiting lol

Do you think that applies to external candidates as well as internal @Arthurwhitewhisker (no offer going out before offers)? Still waiting on KS5 MT 😩

They were still auditioning o Monday for ks5 Mt final rounds so it may be a few more days.
I know of an out of catchment girl who got a ks5 dance offer yesterday.

Hi @Arthurwhitewhisker I know few people got KS5 Dance offers yesterday...hopefully you will hear soon.

No internal have had offers yet so who knows. Needs to be soon though. It does kids no good to get stressed waiting x

Thanks, @Primrose44 We know someone who had their audition on Monday 27/3 so were hoping to hear later this week then someone on this thread said they would still be doing MT auditions on 31/3. Shouldn’t be too much longer I hope.

My daughter who is current ks4 has been told tomorrow

Only what I posted about a friend getting a place offered Monday.
She's out of catchment so not sure if they hear first?

Just spoke to the admissions department at Brit. They have been on a break (school term time’s different to other schools) She said they just got the KS4 decisions given to them by the Film and Media Department and those emails will go out next week. The head of department has been unwell for a few days too. Fingers crossed for next week ✨

She got in, so blooming relieved she can carry on her journey there! Ks5 dance

That’s great news @Arthurwhitewhisker !! You can both enjoy your weekends now. Still waiting for KS5 MT decision. At least I can stop checking my emails every 5 minutes over the weekend 😂

Anyone have any idea about MT outcomes (KS4)?

The email last week apologising for the delay said they “aim to have all decisions in place and relayed by the first week in April”. I interpreted that to mean by today as next week is the first week in April but as we’ve not heard I assume it’ll be next week. Hopefully, it’s the same for all strands still waiting to hear 🤞🏻

Maybe it was only sent to some strands? We’ve been waiting since 27/2. The suspense is killing me too 😩
