A lot of people conceive after 40, my aunty had a ‘surprise’ for her 40th in the form of my cousin 😂. I don’t know why but I woke up thinking about clomid this morning. Have you ever used it? I also had a terrible dream that I had run out of eggs because I started my periods so early! I was 9.
OPK was negative today.

I haven’t used clomid @KLO0224 but I I am using soy isoflavones which is dubbed natures clomid.

When are you expecting your positive opk?

My donor messaged to say he can’t do this month so am going to have to try and find a new one 🤦🏻‍♀️

Our fertile window should be opening now, our donor is home from working away until the 16th so we should catch it whenever it happens.
When do you take the soy isoflavones? Is there a certain time in your cycle?
I think if it wasn’t for the fact that it’s our friend helping us, I would struggle with meeting donors I don’t know. I think you are brave for doing that!

You take the soy for 5 days starting days 1-5 so you can take 1-5, 2-6, 3-7, 4-8 or 5-9. They says days 1-5 and 2-6 help you produce more eggs but they are less mature. Days 4-8 and 5-9 give you more mature eggs but no extra and 3-7 is the best of both worlds.

Soy is half the strength of clomid and the minimum clomid dose is 50mg with a max of 100mg.

I’m not brave I’m desperate! I wish I had someone I could ask. Well I do know someone that I did think about asking but it would just get weird I think.

But is weird worth it to get what you so desperately want!?
I will look into the soy maybe for next month. Are there any negative effects?

It can give you headaches @KLO0224 it is recommended to take it at night so you sleep through any potential side effects.

It is worth it of course I just don’t know if I should ask. The guy I have in mind isn’t so much a friend as an acquaintance. He worked for an agency my company works with and he’s kind of a client but we do chat about none work stuff. Idk I’m going to give it some serious thought

I would definitely give it some thought! It may eliminate some stress each month and allow you to relax in the process a little more.

Saying it out loud to you though does make it a little more of a possibility now than I thought it was.

No love lost if he does say no, like you said you don’t see each other in person and just need to stay professional on the phone. And you never know unless you ask! Go for it, you literally have nothing to lose 😊

On day 5 of flashing smileys! Doing my head in! We did day 1-3 insemination, skipped day 4 and will be doing it again tonight! Fingers crossed I ovulate tomorrow at some point. Donors been great and very accommodating but I don’t want him to feel we are taking advantage. It’s unusual this cycle for me. I usually get 2 days max flashing or even straight to solid!

I’ve caught up with you now! I’m using easy@home strips with the premom app that reads them for you. I’m expecting my peak either tonight or tomorrow. My donor came over on Friday night and is due again tomorrow. I did message him earlier to say I thought I might get my positive this evening and would he be able to come over today but haven’t heard back. Hopefully tomorrow night won’t be too late.

Oh hopefully he checks his messages and can make it tonight, looks like it would be perfect timing.
I have a few dippy ones left, I might try them alongside the clear blue to see if they are getting darker or anything! We were in a position to give it a really good shot this month so I’m annoyed ovulation is eluding me!

It’s so frustrating when you think you have it all planned out and then your body has other ideas @KLO0224!

I know, luckily donor lives right round the corner and is currently furloughed due to the tier system so he is readily available.

I do for about half an hour and put a soft cup in for good measure.

Still flashing and had this pop up on the app. I’m so confused, this has never happened before and I feel so disheartened.

That’s probably just a standard message triggered by x number of days of flashing. I’ve read posts from women who had more flashing days than usual randomly one month but they did get their static.

Could you have missed your surge? Try to keep the faith @KLO0224 though honestly I know how hard that is.

I don’t think I have missed it, I’ve had no change in CM which is usually my biggest indicator. I don’t know, I’m stressed with work and this lockdown has got to me this time. Maybe it’s just an irregular cycle. We have got another donation tonight and then think we will call it a day for this month.

Fingers crossed ovulation is just a little delayed due to stress @KLO0224. I honestly feel how disappointing it is for things to not be going as they should as it’s hard enough getting AF but it’s a killer when you can’t even try properly.

You’re allowed to be PO’d. I really hope things sort themselves out soon.

I know the app told me to stop testing but I had loads of sticks left and I wanted to know what was going on with me this month so I carried on testing. I’ve got my peak today! I’m annoyed but relieved at the same time. Annoyed that we tried so hard during the flashy period, but relieved that I am eventually actually ovulating. Donor is supplying us tonight and tomorrow so hopefully, we have caught it properly this time!

Fertility friend says I ovulated last Monday but OvuSense is saying Tuesday so I’m 7/8 dpo. Planning to test Christmas Eve if the witch hasn’t already arrived as I’ll be late by then
