So it appears I posted the 1,000 message on our previous thread and now it's closed so I've opened us a new home!

@Waiting2BAMummy cm can be hit and miss in determining ovulation, you can have EWCM at all different times, I sometimes get it a few days before my period when I'm definitely not ovulating! I go by calendar first because my cycles are regular and everything else 2nd. Good luck this month, I wouldn't miss the donor or give up this month.

I'm 7dpo today and just have usual sore boobs and no other signs. I'm not buying an FRER unless I'm late. I'm going to do a cheap strip test on 12dpo and then 14dpo if no show. Obviously if there's the slightest hint of a line at 12dpo I will go straight to the chemist for a multibox of FRER's! I'm not holding my breath though. I've always 'known' when I've been pregnant, I'm one of those people who just knows!

CleverQuacks · 05/12/2019 17:36

I am due to ovulate next weekend (I think) I have booked a hotel to meet my donor for the first time. I am really anxious about it. I just don’t know what to expect. It’s going to be so awkward! I am doing AI and he is coming twice over the weekend. He seems lovely over messages but I can’t help thinking what’s the catch?

Waiting2BAMummy · 05/12/2019 18:06

Thanks, @Elvesdontdomagic, I haven’t given up my donor still visited last night but my Cm is dry/sticky now so I really think I have ovulated. Going to start using the progesterone cream on Saturday and see what happens.

I know you felt pregnant before but every pregnancy is different so it could be possible for you not to know. Try to keep the faith and I certainly have my fingers crossed for you.

Some people are just kind @CleverQuacks, I know it’s hard to believe. My donor is lovely, very respectful and just a genuinely nice human.

Have you set out with him exactly how you see this playing out? i.e. he goes to the bathroom does his thing and then leaves? At least having a plan where you know exactly what will happen makes it a little easier. After the first time it does become some sort of surreal normality and you do get used to it.

Good luck.

@Elvesdontdomagic we are the same number of dpo! I'm cramping like hell. Keep feeling like my period id on its way!

GreatestShowUnicorn · 05/12/2019 22:32

@CleverQuacks I met my daughters donor at a hotel I met him in the bar chatted gave him the key and he brought the key back when he was done.

Elvesdontdomagic · 06/12/2019 09:46

@CleverQuacks I know what you mean. The first month I met my donor was at my house and I was bricking it! What helped for me was he charged me £70 a go. It felt like he wanted the money then after my DD was born he didn't charge for my 2nd DD. Now I know more about him over email etc the last 5 years, I know the real reason he donated was because he wanted to have his kids out there in the world but didn't want to be a father. People have all kinds of reasons but the money thing did help for me! I think he used that to help me feel like it was a proper transaction and he wasn't after sex or a relationship.

A hotel is great, you have cameras all over a hotel so he'd be daft to do anything wrong! I really think you'll have no problems at all. It will be all over very quick too and it will get easier with time!

@Waiting2BAMummy thanks for the support, you're right I can't really know for sure! I've got my fingers crossed for you too!

@GreatestShowUnicorn yes I've been having cramping too. Really minor ones last night but a sharp stabby pain this morning in my left side and some mild period pains. I've been googling but it doesn't tell me anything lol!

CleverQuacks · 08/12/2019 19:47

Guys I need your advice! I am due to meet my donor on Friday and I am suddenly getting cold feet about having another baby. I don’t know if it’s just because I am anxious about meeting the donor or if it is my gut telling me not to have another child. Did anyone else get nervous when you actually started trying? Or should I call it all of?!

Waiting2BAMummy · 08/12/2019 20:25

I definitely did @CleverQuacks, after my first donation I was convinced I was pregnant and I suddenly panicked thinking what the hell have I done. It was apprehension.

If you didn’t really want this you wouldn’t have come this far I really think you’re just nervous about meeting him. Can you see him Friday and after the first meeting if you still feel the same call it off?

OP posts:
GreatestShowUnicorn · 09/12/2019 10:09

@CleverQuacks I know exactly what you mean every month I've tried I have this wtf have I done panic and then it doesn't work and I'm gutted and then as ovulation approaches the need increases again.

GreatestShowUnicorn · 09/12/2019 10:10

I've got one FR test I swore I wouldn't use it until what should be CD1 but my resistance was waning!!

Waiting2BAMummy · 09/12/2019 12:14

Just imagine you’re weeing on a £5 note @GreatestShowUnicorn that’s what I tell myself. If it’s going to be positive (and more likely so) it will still be when AF is due/late.

Easier said than done though I know.

OP posts:
GreatestShowUnicorn · 10/12/2019 00:02

@Waiting2BAMummy thanks I was feeling quite hopeful for a few days I now feel like period is enroute and it was all in my head!

Waiting2BAMummy · 10/12/2019 07:21

It’s not over until af shows @GreatestShowUnicorn many women report feeling like af was arriving before getting their BFP.

@LanieM87 is a great example of that she said af had arrived and 2 days later was posting her BFP!

OP posts:
GreatestShowUnicorn · 11/12/2019 11:20

@Waiting2BAMummy thanks I had spotting yesterday which I often get before my period but yesterday seemed very early as not due till Friday. I'm going to test tomorrow as I'd rather know before my period shows up. I only have a FR so if it's positive it should be clear by 13dpo tomorrow! 😬

Waiting2BAMummy · 11/12/2019 11:29

Good luck @GreatestShowUnicorn

I have my first meeting with my donor on Friday. I am nervous and excited! I know it’s unlikely I will fall pregnant on the first month but I am excited to get the process started. Any last minute tips?

Waiting2BAMummy · 11/12/2019 20:54

Are you using preseed @CleverQuacks? Good luck! The first time will be awkward but after that it becomes a sort of surreal normality.

OP posts:
Elvesdontdomagic · 12/12/2019 06:37

AF came this morning bang on time. I did do an IC 2 days ago-BFN of course!

Good luck everyone else this month!

Waiting2BAMummy · 12/12/2019 07:18

Sorry to hear that @Elvesdontdomagic

Good luck today @CleverQuacks.

How is everyone else doing?

OP posts:
CleverQuacks · 13/12/2019 09:04

Thank you @Waitinh2BAMummy! I am not nervous anymore. Just excited. I will update everyone later on how it goes!

CleverQuacks · 13/12/2019 20:07

I have successfully completed the first donation. It was a bit awkward but the guy was great. Now lying on the bed with my hips on pillows willing the little sperm to do their job. Doing another donation tomorrow.

How’s everyone else?

Waiting2BAMummy · 13/12/2019 20:33

Glad you’re okay @CleverQuacks tomorrow will be a little easier at least now that you’ve met him. Any idea when you’re due to ovulate?

I think I ovulated CD 13 this month which means I’m due AF between Sunday and Wednesday. The dull ache in my lower abdomen started right on queue yesterday so I think I’m out. That said I did also have lower back ache yesterday and today that I don’t normally get but I guess that could be because of the progesterone cream.

Good luck for tomorrow.

OP posts:
CleverQuacks · 13/12/2019 21:02

Thanks @Waiting2BAMummy. I think I ovulate tomorrow or Sunday. Unfortunately my donor can’t come Sunday. I am viewing this month as a practice month, getting used to my cycle because I have never tracked it before.

I hope you have luck this month. What is the progesterone cream?
