Had bad heartburn and cramping but guessing again this is the devil progesterone. Body and mind plays tricks on us doesn't it when we want something so badly!

RedPandaFluff · 12/06/2018 21:35

Progesterone is EVIL. I was completely convinced I was pregnant, so it was doubly crushing when I did the test.

It was pretty much this:

Thanks all. Going to take a little while to process, try and lose some weight and then give IVF a go...

Smithguy86 · 13/06/2018 09:08

So sorry to hear that lovely and red panda

Bear1980 · 13/06/2018 17:13

Sorry lovely it's always hard getting a negative especially when the progesterone is playing tricks on you. Good idea to take a break it can be frustrating but also quite refreshing to not be so focussed on it.

My hcg test was finally negative today (I am about 5/6 weeks post miscarriage). Feels weird being happy at a negative but means I can start to focus more on the future. I did want to do FET on my next cycle (hopefully will start next week) but think I am going to wait until July. It's been such a long time of weekly tests that I feel like I need a bit of down time before jumping back in.

lovelymojitos · 13/06/2018 18:03

Glad it's finally negative bear. I agree a break is a good idea, all the appts take their toll. Do they still have to give you all the drugs for a FET?
My weight's crept on since I started all this so going to try a shake diet to shift some pounds quickly to see if that helps before I move on to IVF.
Thanks all for your comments, it really helps to speak to people who properly understand.

TinyPaws · 13/06/2018 18:44

@lovelymojitos Sorry you got a negative, that sucks.

Bear glad you've finally got your negative, hopefully I'll get mine soon! I'm still feeling very sad about the miscarriage.

Clinic have sent invoice for my next cycle they've only gone and put the bloody price up!

Ttc2017 · 13/06/2018 18:47

Bear1980 · 14/06/2018 06:00

Thanks all.

tiny I am sure that you will get negative soon, it's been a long road for you. tiny I am sure that you will always have some sadness relating to the miscarriage but hopefully once you get negative you will start to feel a bit better. When are you due to test again?

ttc your right it is still very early. Hopefully you will get bfp in a couple of days.

lovely I need to lose a bit of weight as well just can't seem to get any focus. Gonna start a bit of exercise on Monday and see if that helps.

Ttc2017 · 14/06/2018 13:42

Tested negative again today I know still to early will wait now feel so tired n crampy and all the other so called preggy crap but sure of progesterone causing it thought these last few days would go quick but no not at all really don't want to have to take a break for month if this fails wamt to get straight onto next cycle but not sure they will let me argh over thinking is the worst! X

closephine85 · 14/06/2018 14:02

What dpo are you ttc? Hope it’s just too early for you.

I had my scratch yesterday - decided to go ahead with it and throw everything at the next cycle and then I can’t fill my head with what ifs. It wasn’t bad at all, was expecting it to really hurt!

Ttc2017 · 14/06/2018 14:04

Glad it was OK closephine I'm 10dpiui x

TinyPaws · 14/06/2018 18:32

Got a negative test today, finally.

Fingers crossed it was just too early for you TTC

Bear1980 · 14/06/2018 18:46

Ttc2017 · 14/06/2018 20:53

Don't think it's worked for me had some slightly redish brownish tinted stuff so looks like af on its way and early of all things! Absolutely gutted ;(

lovelymojitos · 14/06/2018 20:56

Glad you're finally negative tiny and that you can start again soon.
It's not over til it's over ttc, could be really late implantation bleeding? I will keep my fingers crossed for you. Feels like we're overdue for some good news as a group!

@sallyA1 hi Sally. I lurk on this thread. Have a 13 week old donor conceived daughter. My AMH was similar to yours at 8.9 and also low for my age (34 when it was done). The clinic convinced me to go straight to IVF which was unsuccessful and very expensive. I ended up conceiving my daughter on my second attempt at home insemination using frozen sperm. It’s something to try if you’re young and don’t have any fertility issues. An AMH of 9.1 is not a fertility issue. Also welcome to ask any Qs surrounding solo motherhood as like I said I’m 13 weeks in X

pickle162 · 15/06/2018 22:05

Well me and Thai seem to have very similar stats- my amh was 9-had mine done at 33 but iui's done at 34 and worked second go.
Amh of 9 is on the lower side of normal for that age range but my consultant said altho egg share would be out of the question it's a pretty good level for iui- it's not too low but not too high either so he estimated my medicated cycle at about 28% chance of conceiving
My little one is now 8weeks +2 -had her first lot of injections today so has been a very unhappy little poppet today :( but all worth it to keep her as healthy as possible

Ttc2017 · 16/06/2018 04:45

Got a very faint second line this morning 12dpiui photo doesn't do it justice it is pink not grey as it looks and came up within time limit however not thinking into it to much yet as have had false positives from frer before x
