Keeping everything crossed for you 🐢 it is your turn sweetie for things to go right x

@TinyPaws still a bit early so hopefully that second line will occur

@Mandy002 That's a really good idea to ask for a scan, you don't want to get out there and then they can't do it
What I've learnt after being on this journey/thread since sept 2015 is that actually no ones iui or Ivf journey is straight forward. Whether it being af screwing up when can have the treatment, cysts, sperm not being delivered, lining not thick enough, lining too thick, follicles not getting big enough, too many follicles. Bfn's, bfps that then result in chemical mc.
It's a bloody rough journey but just keep fighting on x
Getting pregnant is reliant on a lot of luck, so many processes internally have to happen so even if cycle goes vaguely to plan it don't end there

Smithguy86 · 18/02/2018 11:21

I know it's hard but don't count yourself out yet tiny, you could still get your bfp! Fingers crossed for you! Do you have to o to the clinic for a blood test or just a urine test?

Mandy002 · 18/02/2018 11:37

That's very true @pickle162. I just don't like the thought of anyone else having this kind of tailspin! I wouldn't wish it on my worst enemy! It's becoming more and more difficult to stay positive with each trip to the loo 😐😬

Latenightreader · 18/02/2018 15:02

I have a medication query and my clinic is closed...

I've been doing my clexane and lubion injections at 7pm. I'm going to the cinema tonight - it starts at 6.15pm, so I'll probably have to leave about 5.45. I've also read the lubion leaflet and it says it shouldn't be taken at the same time as other injectable medicines (the clinic never mentioned this - just said they needed to be taken 24 hours apart). My instinct is to take the lubion before I go out, and the clexane when I get home. That makes sense, doesn't it? Nothing I've forgotten?

Experiment627 · 18/02/2018 15:11

@TurtleTree so pleased you have started up again! (BTW tis I, the fast one, with a new username).
Hope you managed to sort meds out. Do not I had a single treatment without some medicine drama.

Well said pickle this is a 🎢

@Latenightreader What is lubion? Think your plan sounds reasonable.

Latenightreader · 18/02/2018 15:15

Lubion is injectable progesterone. The pessaries weren't giving me a high enough dose.

Everhopeful76 · 18/02/2018 16:18

Bless you late. A pain doing injectable progesterone.
Have you been taking them at same time up to now? Because if so can't really see a probl, nor spacing them out a bit. Esp if clinic didn't seem to raise it at all. Sure it's fine. I took clexane at random times throughout day so I d suggest maybe keeping the Lubion at a more fixed time and not to worry x

TinyPaws · 18/02/2018 16:59

Smith My clinic just has you take a urine test, no blood tests.

Thanks pickle I will test again on Tuesday if no menses by then.

I tested early as my gf is here and she won't be around on my official test date. I'm not holding out much hope and I do feel some faint cramps, maybe period is on its way. I normally have no more than a 13 day luteal phase so but I think the drugs have messed with my system so not sure what to expect.

late I have no experience but that sounds sensible!

Experiment hi!

TinyPaws · 18/02/2018 20:18

Cramps have been increasing in intensity over the last 3 hours, feels like period will start tonight or tomorrow morning.

TurtleTree · 18/02/2018 21:07

Thanks pickle, hi Experiment!

Tiny lots of people seem to experience cramps in the 2ww, doesn't necessarily mean it's over yet. Hoping for you.

Re testing - my clinic wanted me to wee on a stick after a fresh transfer but with the FET I have to have a blood test, as apparently the meds can give a false negative on the wee sticks. Not sure if this explains the differences? This is IVF, not sure what the rules would be for IUI, maybe depends on meds taken?

Smithguy86 · 18/02/2018 21:14

Tiny I had really bad cramps from about 10dpo to 14dpo the worst was the night before our blood test they were worse than any period cramps I've ever had!

TinyPaws · 18/02/2018 21:41

Period is here. Obviously very disappointed. :(

Will phone clinic tomorrow as plan is to do a back to back stimulated IUI cycle.

TurtleTree · 19/02/2018 07:24

Sorry to hear that Tiny, big hug x

Mandy002 · 19/02/2018 08:15

So sorry to hear that @TinyPaws look after yourself

pickle162 · 19/02/2018 08:32

So sorry to hear that Tiny ☹️hope you can get booked in for next cycle

Smithguy86 · 19/02/2018 12:15

So sorry to hear that tiny, big hugs x

TinyPaws · 19/02/2018 14:03

Thanks for the good wishes lovely people.

Still trying to get through to the right people at the clinic, have called 15 times so far.

TinyPaws · 19/02/2018 21:38

Appointment booked for tomorrow. I'm not even nearly over the disappointment but want to push on for another try. Will be much more jaded this next cycle!

Wonky35 · 20/02/2018 00:13

So sorry tiny. That must be really tough doing it back to back like that. Try not to be too jaded.

I also did the injectable progesterone late (prontogest though). Was on it for about 10 weeks in total and by the end of it my ass was a hossible mess and covered in painful lumps that would wake me up at night if I rolled over onto them. My particular highlight was when I had to give myself an injection in the evening at work. Decided to use the men’s toilet (single one I’d like to say) as it is big and has a proper mirror. Unfortunately I managed to hit a vein so when I took the needle out it bled quite a bit all over my trousers and blood dripped onto the floor! Ended up using loo roll to wipe up my blood of the floor of the men’s toilet - lovely! Worth it in the end though!

TinyPaws · 20/02/2018 11:15

Thanks wonky. Had scan today, cycle 2 is go, on injections again from tonight.

LRDtheFeministDragon · 20/02/2018 12:09

Sorry to hear this tiny - but onwards and upwards for the next one!

Mandy002 · 20/02/2018 12:54

Good luck @TinyPaws

Just got back from initial appointment at embryolab. They're lovely there. They did do a scan and said at 9mm despite bleeding. We're going ahead with transfer of 2 on Thursday!! 🤞🏻👶🏻🙏🏻🤞🏻xx

TinyPaws · 20/02/2018 13:04

Thanks Mandy and LRD. Good news Mandy fingers crossed this is it for you!

Mandy002 · 20/02/2018 13:16

Forgot to say the bleeding totally stopped on the second day of the progesterone pessaries. My brain is totally fried!

pickle162 · 20/02/2018 13:46

Wow tiny that was quick. I know it's really hard but try not to think about last cycle, the chances are low whatever method you do so onwards and upwards to the next one

Ah Mandy I really pleased they did a scan and 9mm is a fab thickness! Best of luck for transfer on Thursday
