Good luck with you IUI @TinyPaws I hope you get a good result.

Quick question guys- does anyone know if they will cancel a DE cycle if they find cysts on a scan. Only I have my lining scan on Friday and I'm starting to get worried they'll say it's a no go. They have found cysts on me before. Plus I don't really want to bother the people at the clinic. Thanks

pickle162 · 03/02/2018 17:25

A follicle isn't classed as mature until minimum of 16mm so don't panic about multiples :)

pickle162 · 03/02/2018 17:27

Mandy it depends on the size of the cyst, I had cyst on right ovary each time about 11mm but they were ok but depends on location and size

Mandy002 · 03/02/2018 17:49

@pickle162 Thanks so much - that has put my mind at rest at least they will possibly do it. Can I ask if it worked for you on those cycles regardless of the cysts? Thanks

pickle162 · 03/02/2018 17:59

@Mandy002 yep had the cyst there the whole time and got pregnant on second cycle.

Mandy002 · 03/02/2018 18:43

@pickle162 amazing news thanks! Congrats too! How's it all going?

pickle162 · 03/02/2018 19:01

Yeh all good 31weeks now, getting a bit inpatient but def enjoying being pregnant (well since I stopped throwing up at 20wks) it's such an amazing feeling.

Mandy002 · 03/02/2018 19:17

@pickle162 wow! I hope I'm as lucky as you. Did u have 2 rounds of DE? How many embies did you have put back each time? I have 4 in the freezer and starting to wonder about numbers. 1 vs 2.

pickle162 · 03/02/2018 19:19

No I did medicated iui each time so my own egg just donor sperm

Mandy002 · 03/02/2018 20:05

@pickle162 oh so pleased things worked out for you. I just hope I'm as lucky 🍀

pickle162 · 03/02/2018 20:10

Thank you. Keeping everything crossed for you and everyone trying. It's such a hard journey so many ups and downs
I started researching and saving in 2015 so not been a quick journey but it def feels like it's the right time for me :) very lucky, just want her here safe and sound now so feel like I'm wishing the weeks away.
Best of luck :)

This tww is awful! Every pain or twinge I feel I think it means something then I think I’m just imagining things ahh! Dw was cooking meat last night and the smell of it made me throw up! Wednesday feels like a lifetime ago not 4 days ago!

pickle162 · 04/02/2018 16:08

Oh yes they don't call 2ww twot (two weeks of torture) for nothing. It truly is awful, I used to find the weekends worst as I wasn't as distracted as work days

Smithguy86 · 04/02/2018 16:30

It really is torture the 14th just seems so far away! Yes at least work is a good distraction during the week just praying for a bfp!

pickle162 · 04/02/2018 16:57

Yep, my first cycle I didn't get a bfp and I had to go into work, I cried about 90% of the day in between patients but actually think I was better being at work. Second cycle I was staying at my aunties and was dreading getting a negative but was a positive so was amazing as could share with her. Just have to try and get on with life cos it seriously messes with your head

Smithguy86 · 04/02/2018 17:36

Yea we have to go for bloods that morning and then both going to work, we are going to leave half day before the clinic rings so we are both together!

Mandy002 · 04/02/2018 21:38

Unfortunately the mind fuck (excuse the language but I'm not sure how else to say that) doesn't stop after the TWW torture. My first cycle got BFN then spent the next month and a bit trying to figure out what I'd done wrong that had made it fail and at precisely what point it failed!

LRDtheFeministDragon · 04/02/2018 21:55

You can agonise over anything, though. I had four miscarriages and each time, you think it's going to be different and you also worry. Every time a friend of mine is pregnant I am delighted for them but also worry all the time. When DP was pregnant all the time, I had in the back of my mind the worry that this pregnancy wouldn't make it.

In a way it's horrible to worry all the time, but I'm aware it's also what makes me resilient and hopeful - because I know there may be bad things ahead but I know that's the norm for most of us, so on this thread I don't need to pretend it's strange to feel scared.

TinyPaws · 04/02/2018 22:59

Thanks @LRD that is a bit reassuring!

Thanks @Mandy and @pickle.

@Smith Hope the 14th comes quickly for you! I’m sure it must seem an age!

I took my trigger shot tonight - was a bit apprehensive as it’s a different injection with a different set up to the stim shots but it was actually fairly easy. IUI booked for Tuesday. The clinic have given us an appointment letter with both our details on so hopefully the gf will be allowed off work to attend the appointment with me.

I’ve been feeling twinges on the left side similar to my usual mid cycle pain for days now and every time I get one I worry it’s the follicle rupturing! Ridiculous, I know.

Smithguy86 · 05/02/2018 15:30

Good luck for tomorrow tinypaws hope it all goes well!

Feeling very deflated and unpregnant today!

Mandy002 · 05/02/2018 20:24

Hi all...has anyone found that they put weight on while preparing their linings in DE cycle. I did 4 hours on the treadmill last week and put 0.5 lbs on. Also this week I seem to have put 3lbs on already SINCE SATURDAY!! I'm on 3 2mg pills of progynova a day at the moment and wondering if that's it? Feeling super frustrated though as it's undoing all the hard work I put in loosing weight!!

Also good luck for tomorrow @TinyPaws

pickle162 · 05/02/2018 20:32

Good luck tiny! So excited for you

Yep put on lots of weight from medication Mandy

Mandy002 · 05/02/2018 20:43

Thanks @pickle162 will it affect my chances though?

pickle162 · 05/02/2018 21:09

No not at all @Mandy002 it's completely normal side effect of hormones

Mandy002 · 05/02/2018 21:11

@pickle162 Thank god
