My dad is dying, sit with me?

Just that really, had another stroke, end of life care plan in place. Got him transferred back from hospital to the nursing home where his pain is being managed and he's comfortable.
He's fighting this every step of the way but is slowly deteriorating.

I'm here on vigil all night so I'd appreciate some company....

Flowers So sorry for your loss. Dementia is so cruel, you lose people twice. Take what comfort you can in the knowledge that you did everything you could and he left surrounded by love.

Couldnt read and run. Sorry for your loss, OP. He is no longer suffering. You and your mum being there will have made him feel safe.
3 out of 4 of my grandparents (only knew 3 of them) all had dementia. For us, it was a relief they were no longer suffering but that isnt the case for everyone. Remember the happy times with them. Sending you love
