No point changing my name (although I may change my name after this thread and become a newbie again)

Men - honestly, are you turned off by a saggy norks?

Ladies - Please feel free to cheer me up by telling me that you don't pass the pencil test either.

(Please God, don't let this thread sink to the bottom of active convos after it's taken me all this time to work up the courage to start it)

This has always been a real 'issue' of mine. The fact that dh is def not a 'boob man' makes me even more paranoid. I mean, we all know the pictures in the mags are fake but it still doesn't do much for my confidence in that department Sorry, I'm not being much help here!

zippitippitoes · 01/08/2006 19:23

get on top and he will be happy enough

SecurMummy · 01/08/2006 19:25

see if you can get the courage up to do this you can conqure the workld

Men don't mind IMO! but lets see some real men out here

beckybrastraps · 01/08/2006 19:26

Well, mine are iredeemably saggy, but I wear good bras and when they're all hoicked up they look pretty good. I did go through a stage when I was really embarassed about them. I kept my bra on all the time (ALL the time). But dh got a bit upset with that. He still loves them, even if I don't!

paperchaser · 01/08/2006 19:27

SM - I know, I feel almost confident

OP posts:
beckybrastraps · 01/08/2006 19:27

irredeemably

(It can't be stressed enough!)

oxocube · 01/08/2006 19:29

well, lets sit back and await the male-mumsnetters verdicts

zippitippitoes · 01/08/2006 19:30

i think it's a lose lose question answer for them

oldieinneedofhelp · 01/08/2006 19:31

PC - tiny acorns and all that - you can do anything you know!

paperchaser · 01/08/2006 19:45

lol - I wish I had tiny acorns, but yeah, I know what you mean and you're right.

Come on men. Tell me what you think of my boobs. This might be the only opportunity you get to be really honest about a womans body and not get slapped (or divorced).

We can all pass the pencil test, it just depends on how far back you can lean

Dh tried to reassure me by saying that men are grateful that we will go to bed with them full stop. Back handed compliment or what?

I think implants CAN look better (small ones)

but real ones FEEL better

(I'm not a man but I AM good with powertools)

Lottelou · 01/08/2006 21:00

Another man on board here...saggy boobs? - no, not unattractive in themselves at all....but like any other of our bits that we are self-conscious about, pointing them out regularly and self-deprecating is a bit off a turn off...

heavenis · 01/08/2006 21:01

Well I could fit a whole pencil case between mine.
I love the going to clarks to get shoes.lol

You know why old woman push those shopping trolleys in front of them, they carry their norks in them not shopping.

SecurMummy · 01/08/2006 21:04

waggledancer - I can't pass it lying down

paperchaser · 01/08/2006 21:14

Lottelou - thank you. Any other men out there willing to share their opinion?

OP posts:
Lottelou · 01/08/2006 21:15

I guess to say you want nice pert boobs is fine, but it ain't no.1 on most men's hit parade in a woman - and, there are a hole heap of other bits about a woman that leaves boobs well behind rather than out in front.....

Lottelou · 01/08/2006 21:18

You are welcolm paperchaser - and that was my first message on the site...you made it so easy! And, has anyone passed uncomfortable comment to drive you toward surgery?????

paperchaser · 01/08/2006 21:23

No, not really, but EX DP did remind me several times during the last few years of our relationship that my body had seen better days. I never asked him which bits he meant though.

OP posts:
oldieinneedofhelp · 01/08/2006 21:23

PC - you not thinking of surgery are you?

I mean that is fine if you want it - but please don't think you have to do it just to be attractive to men!

They really are much more easy than that

paperchaser · 01/08/2006 21:24

btw lottelou - welcome to mumsnet

OP posts:
paperchaser · 01/08/2006 21:28

oldie - surgery scares the f*ck out of me but if I had a few spare grand I think I'd look into it. A bit scared by some of the pics though. I saw some before and after shots and alot of the women seriously did look better before. Saggy v. scarred, solid, unnatural looking boobs

OP posts:
Lottelou · 01/08/2006 21:29

Crumbs! - and he was the male adonis???

And yes, we are generally MUCH easier than that!! (ha!) I'm sure there are bits of your body that you know are attractive - why not accentuate those rather than dwelling on other bits? Men are usually appreciative of one really nice feature (lips, eyes, butt) so no real need to do whole body critique..hope this is helping....

nikkie · 01/08/2006 21:29

Whats the pencil test?
