dd is commencing her 2nd year nursing degree and indicates everything is being done remotely....which isn't helping the sense of discipline and work-submission dates being met.

There's a lot more faff and paperwork than I remember but it's been 15 years since I did it last! Very cathartic throwing away all the accumulated junk though.

In my mind your DD is only about 8, how long have these threads been running? . DS2 has some labs and face to face teaching still thank goodness, he's been so excited about going I'm glad he gets a tiny bit. I cannot comprehend how you do a nursing degree remotely don't know how the NHS is running without all the free labour from students!

Ah yes, that tricky cove called "time". People occasionally ask me how dd is doing at school. I let them know she is doing so well they are letting her help out on I.C.U.....
she did spend her A&E placement doing COVID tests in April on people presenting themselves for treatment. 12 hour shifts in what looks like a suit of armor. She is utter gold. NHS are getting their money's worth.

I've never done one of these games before but I will give it a go! How does it work though - do you pick a real team structure with a GC contender, sprinter, domestiques etc but picked from any team, or must a bunch of riders you think might win stages? (Sorry for my ignorance!)

It's like fantasy football, you can pick any team you like from the riders that are signed up for the race. Check the last night none of them have dropped out though. Good luck.
