Probably? Fingers crossed?
If a team gets sent home with two positive tests it may end up being more a test of avoiding the 'rona than cycling!

Well ,wasn't that swee--eeet?? I have Carapaz and would have taken our yellow jersey if he took the win, but I really don't mind Kwiatowski taking his first TdF stage- who'd da thunk he hadn't had a stage win previously? He's been around as long as the wheel.

I'm sorry MrSlant! it was too tempting.Grin

Lurkingforawhile · 17/09/2020 22:24

That was lovely - unusual to see, and some really nice comments from fellow riders.

prettybird · 18/09/2020 00:08

Already down 3 riders and I don't see any of my remaining team getting me off the bottom in the next 3 days.

I think I should begin my Lanterne Rouge celebrations Grin

prettybird · 18/09/2020 00:14

And I did love the finish of today's stage - although they nearly blew their plan, when Carapaz had to brake slightly Shock

Loved the way that Kwiatowski dedicated it to Nico in one of his tweets.

Olinguito · 18/09/2020 23:05

A great finish from today's winner. I've lost another rider today though - poor Postlberger has gone home, after being stung in the mouth by a wasp. Sounds nasty!

Pan2 · 19/09/2020 11:36

oooch! He was also one of mine.

So it's TT today?
As Jack Nicholson said about R4 Womens Hour..." I'm going for a nap now, wake me up when it's over..." Bike

prettybird · 19/09/2020 12:56

I'm going to be keeping the Lanterne Rouge Shock. I see no way of clambering off the bottom with what's left of my team Hmm

Lurkingforawhile · 19/09/2020 13:06

Postelberger had an allergic reaction which sounds grim, was in hospital but all right now. Shame to make it to the last Friday and not to get to Paris!

EndoplasmicReticulum · 19/09/2020 21:02

Enjoy your nap Pan? Grin

Spine tingling today! Not to be napped through

prettybird · 19/09/2020 23:14

I think I might just about escape being the Lanterne Rouge for the whole Velogames competition! ShockBlush

IDontMindMarmite · 20/09/2020 07:08

Crikey! I caught the last 5 minutes of yesterday's stage and couldn't believe what I was seeing at all!!! Just how is it possible to put 1.30 into everyone else???

@prettybird, you're still comfortably in last place as far as I can see Grin

prettybird · 20/09/2020 08:58

I know I'm comfortably in last place and accept that position on the Mumsnet Mayhem mini league Grin. However, I'm uncomfortably close to being bottom of the whole 13,428 participants in the Great Big Bike Game Shock - currently 13,292nd Blush

FelicityLemon · 20/09/2020 11:53

So I've even managed to curse Roglic!

Pan2 · 20/09/2020 17:22

I did Endo thank you!

Caught the highly unlikely headline of Pogacar winning the yellow jersey and had to check I was reading it properly. As Boadman says, Roglic must have suffered a puncture in both legs.

Doesn't Paris look as beautiful as ever?

FelicityLemon · 20/09/2020 18:41

Weird seeing Paris so empty for the TdF. So glad for Sam today after years of being left behind in favour of Sagan.

prettybird · 20/09/2020 18:48

There's a delicious schadenfreude in the way that he has beaten Sagan for the green jersey! Grin

prettybird · 20/09/2020 18:49

Sooooo pleased for Porte Smile

DramaAlpaca · 20/09/2020 20:55

I'm really delighted for Porte, too. And obviously ecstatic at Sam's win Shamrock Grin

JofraArchersFastestBall · 21/09/2020 06:13

Congratulations Loulou LaMou!

Really enjoyed this year's race, and the twist at the end was almost too dramatic for me! Impressed by Pogacar, sad for Roglic and very pleased for Porte and Bennett.

EndoplasmicReticulum · 21/09/2020 13:25

Was a good race. Much more interesting without Sky/ineos just dominating. So, when's the next grand tour? Can't be long to wait.

IDontMindMarmite · 21/09/2020 14:01

2-3weeks I think

MrsAvocet · 21/09/2020 14:18

The Giro starts on October 2nd and the Vuelta on October 20th. There's a magic Sunday on Oct 25th when the Giro and Vuelta overlap, and its also Paris-Roubaix. I won't know where to look! I've definitely got Post Grand Tour Malaise today. I might have to do some of the ironing that's been building up over the last 3 weeks.

SDTGisAnEvilWolefGenius · 21/09/2020 14:25

I had Primoz Roglic on my velogames team. :(

It was a great race, through - despite being pipped at the post. I have loved watching Sky/Ineos and their triumphs in the past, but I can’t help feeling that the race was more interesting without one team dominating.

FelicityLemon · 21/09/2020 14:26

Well done Loulou. I'll start a thread if there's a velogames for the Giro
