I heard "everybody hurts" by REM and "wake me up when september ends" by greenday. they have to be 2 of the best songs ever
(please note I am not mentioning any Metal songs so as to not be a bore)

norks..good choices. I saw Carter USM in about 1993 at Poersmoth Civis Theatre. Also saw James there, suported by Radiohead, who had just had their first big hit with Creep.

Great gigs, both of them.

Mrsruffalo, if I could take music by only one artist to my desert island, it would be John Martyn. Glad to meet another fan. Are you in the London area? Robert Elms on BBC Radio London is a big fan and had him as a featured artist recently. Was fab.
