Can't read all of thread as need sleep but it has to be
Teenage Kicks - Undertones

Heard it first on John Peel (and heard it when he played it twice ) Blew me away and still does.

juls2 · 02/04/2008 22:48

Last Night by The Strokes, Love Will Tear us Apart by Joy Division anything from Nirvana's Nevermind album and She Dont Use Jelly by The Flaming Lips.

UnquietDad · 02/04/2008 22:56

The Stone Roses "She Bangs The Drums" - did someone say that? Couldn't believe it when I heard it on the radio at age 19 (?). Amongst all the MC Funky D and Da Urban Possee and SAW shit, here, finally was a real band who sounded as if they knew what they were doing.

Does anyone remember My Life Story? "Sparkle" is one of those songs, as is "12 Reasons Why I Love Her".
